I love this place and am not ruling it out.

Vintage Golden Gate was another top of the line care facility.Very nice local, gardens were beautiful,staff very friendly,and like Alma Via the residents were very happy.I toured at dinner time and food smelled delicious. Once again though the cost seems to be a problem for my stepDad.

Unfortunately Ivy Park wasn't the right place for my dad. We actually just moved him to an adult family home and he is doing much better. He needed more one on one attention. That said, Ivy Park was lovely. Staff working with my dad daily were the best. Very caring and friendly. They would make connections with the residents, felt very genuine vs them just doing a job. A very peaceful and pleasant setting.

On quality of care, I find Oakmont is unable to be effective in driving food choices for my diabetic mother. It seems like creativity around menu has fallen off over the last few months. Underlying drivers of total cost isn't clear through the billing and is really hard to get under even when speaking directly. Future residents really should understand that total cost can easily be more than double room and board.

The Lodge at Glen Cove has been so wonderful and accepting of my stepdad. It has meant a lot to our family -- and to my stepdad as well!

I love the facility and staff, wish my mother in law would take advantage of what they have to offer. She refuses to get out of bed, hopefully that will change in the future. She gets along well with the staff except for one. I have to ask sometimes to get her laundry done which I think has to do with being short staffed in housekeeping. I would recommend this facility.

The facility is very clean and all of the staff are extremely friendly. The apartment is very attractive and it is super nice. It has more of a homey feel and less hotel like. The location is very convenient for me and I can stop in and see them on my way back from work. They have 3 tiers of care so they are able to age in place. It does not seem like they have many activities going on at the moment. I know covid has put a cramp in the schedule, but now that we are coming out of covid I would tell others to ask what activities they would have provided especially for those who have cognitive issues such as dementia and Alzheimer's. Overall I would recommend Sunrise of Burlingame to others looking.

It was a huge adjustment but it is a good place for mom to be because she receives support and care from the staff and residents since my dad passed away. They have done a good job if we have had any questions or concerns. They have gotten her very engaged in the activities so that has been great. The staff will sometimes take a snack in her room and just go and visit with her and that really means a lot. It is expensive but we feel it is worth it for the quality of care she is receiving here/

My favorite community was a different community. Ivy Park did a better job at telling my loved one what they wanted to hear and have in a community. The person that showed us the community during the tour gave us wrong information. The community allows pets; however, the family will have to hire someone to walk the dog and this is only available during the week. My loved one finds the food boring and this might be because the food isn't being made by the family. There are no activities provided to the residents on the weekends. There is care provided all through the week. The communication from the staff is not consistent the same when speaking to different staff members. There are times that it is horrible, and most of the time it is fantastic. There has been times that medication has not been available and the staff don't communicate that with the family. The Executive Director is very good to work with and most of the staff as well.

I toured Sunrise of Sabre Springs and I thought it was very nice. We chose another community for a few different reasons, but ultimately Sunrise was out of our price range.

Sunrise of Seal Beach is a very friendly place, they get to know all the people living there quickly. They know her by name after just 2 months. My mom said they are quick to help if she got lost in the building, someone's always there to help her find her way. They always bring her medication and check on her 2-3 times a day, there is always someone keeping an eye out. I get an email message once a week about general things going on there, but I am also there visiting frequently. They offer transportation for appointments and as far as store runs and other outings, they are looking for a new driver currently. My mom said the food started out really good and she complains about some of the main entrée at times. She forgets that they have other entrees aside from the main thing being served, so I've had to remind her of that. Her apartment is really nice, it reminds me of the timeshares we used on vacation. It's a 1 bedroom with a small kitchen, a walk in shower and a separate space for the living room and bedroom. She also has a smart tv I signed her up with. I would recommend Sunrise to others and I appreciate that it's close to me so if she needs anything I can be there. The community is secure, I know she can't just wander out. Someone is always watching the main entry door and will buzz you in when you come to visit. You have to wear a badge and sign in up front while visiting as well. She has a little chihuahua with her right now, so that's an added plus. They have a lot of plants, flowers, and greenery growing so its far from sterile looking.

We liked the staff. They were very responsive to our needs and any concerns we had, and they really worked with us to fix any issues. They also worked very hard with us when we went though the hospice process. My only concern with the facility is you need to be sure to bring up your concerns. They are not good at reaching out to you when they have concerns.

The community is very caring, friendly, and loving towards our loved one and other residents. They do an evaluation approximately every 6 months on the residents. The community was receptive to the family's concerns about our loved one. My loved one is enjoying the meals and snacks. Zumba, bingo, arts and crafts, gardening, field trips, celebrations, religious services, and more are some of the activities for the residents to stay engaged with.

This is a very clean and nice community. They take good care of the landscaping on the grounds. They have a problem with staffing at this time just like everyone else. I am a fall risk and I feel like they need more staff available to watch us to make sure that we do not have any issues. They are some really good staff here but I feel like there are some that are not so good and I feel like they should get older staff that are more experienced. I did not also know that we could not leave and go out. I left one day and did not know this. They have some very nice people that work here. I have also met some very nice residents that live here and the food is also really good.

This was one of my top choices and I really liked this community a lot. I felt like they treated me like an adult while also being there to care for me. They did a great job with the tour and was able to answer all of my questions and give me all of the information that I needed.

They called their areas neighborhoods and had nice staff. This was a beautiful community was a bit more expensive than anticipated.
