I have been thoroughly happy with Heritage Woods for my mom. The meals are excellent and the staff have helped us with anything she needs. My mom is in an independent living apartment, but they have home health people who come in to help her bathe twice a week at a very affordable rate. So much more affordable than AL, and AL services are there when she needs them! She enjoys the activities and had only one day of that she felt lonely in a month. Lots of music events in the building with some talented folks leading them. Excellent facility!

So far it is going good for my uncle. it did take some time to adjust but he loves the Japanese food that they make. The staff also speak Japanese which he likes too. The place is nice and it seems like they are going through some changes. Activities are posted on a board. I am overall happy with the community, it seems like a good fit for my uncle.

Mom is slowly getting accustomed to living at this community. The staff is friendly and mom likes them. They only issue mom has is that one of the nurses discusses personal information in front of the other residents. She is enjoying most of the food. She is not yet participating in any of the activities offered. The community is clean and they offer places to sit outside to enjoy the grounds.

We only used this as "respite" care. My Mom only stayed for 2 weeks while I was on vacation. She was able to continue with her Golden Umbrella activities on 3 days a week, which she really liked. She enjoyed being there and said everyone was very helpful. She would be willing to go live there when the time comes she can no longer live with me.

Everyone has been friendly and helpful. My mother seems to be adjusting very well. She likes the food. No complaints.

We looked at a number of locations before choosing Somerford Place. Somerford offered a much more attractive environment for mom to live, with a lot of outdoor spaces and activities. The layout of the facility is quite different from the others we saw. We also contacted families of current residents and they all spoke very highly of the conditions and staff at Somerford. We have been very impressed by how interactive the staff is with the residents, which has helped Mom adapt quickly to the new surroundings. Costs are in the mid-range of the facilities we visited, but we considered it to be a value. We are very pleased with the choice we made.

They were very welcoming and very friendly and accommodating. My mother has been there a while now and they are treating her very well. She is very happy.

Love that they encouraged us to customize her room to her liking, we hung pictures, hat hooks and her favorite Knick-Knack shelf full of her things. The care givers are always available to call, just to check in with to see how she's doing. They will help her with the phone when she wants to call out or she gets a call. Happy, friendly small community feel.

The Somerford Place Encinitas has been great! It has been a positive experience. It's always clean. There are never any odors. It always smells fresh. The staff has been great as well. They are so helpful and accommodating. They keep an eye on my loved one. The value is also very good for what you are getting. I would highly recommend the Somerford Place Encinitas.

We've had a good experience with Somerford Place so far. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the staff have been very friendly and professional. They're very receptive to our loved one's needs, and to our concerns as a family. They're always willing to meet with us at any time to discuss concerns or ideas we have about care.

My family member has been at Somerford for 7 months as a resident. My assessment of the facility is very favorable. I visit almost every day and can see in the daily activities the interaction of the staff. There is such a personal and patient response from the caregivers to each one of the residents. I have personally observed how their patience and skilled response calms situations. They are in tune to each and everyone's special needs and respond accordingly. There are daily activities and exercise programs to keep the residences stimulated. The residences are encouraged to mingle and this seems to help in establishing friendships. I found this the best place for my family member of all the facilities that I have seen

My Mother was a resident for 2 yrs at Kirkland assisted living, which is now called Sundial. My Mom chose to leave her home. She needed more care and wanted to be in a assisted living facility. It was a difficult transition for her. With the friendly staff she was very welcomed. She felt very safe there and got excellent care. I would spend one full day a week with her. Not only did I see how the care givers were with her, but I noticed how they interacted with the other residents. The car givers always called people by there first name. Which is a feat in itself with 40 plus residents. The food was excellent, as well as the staff. The wellness center was always there to answer questions I may have had about my Mom's health. They were very helpful and informative. I never felt they were rushing me. They seemed very concerned about all the residents. I would recommend anyone with a loved one to check out Sundial. I am now a volunteer at Sundial. I enjoyed everyone so much I couldn't stay away.

Great place nothing we visited was like this, real Palm Springs feel the place was updated so nice, warm staff.

My husband stayed 3 weeks for respite. Staff are so friendly, everything is very clean and meals are very good. An excellent place for a loved one!

Our loved one hasn't been here long yet, but so far we're pleased with the community. It's a nice looking place, and the staff all seem to be friendly, caring, and professional.

My dad has been at Emeritus for just a short time, but we have both been very impressed by the friendliness and the welcoming atmosphere. He is still settling in, and has had some unaccustomed mobility problems, but the staff have been great about checking on him and following up with medical professionals. His only complaint would probably be a slowness of service in the dining room.

Dad needed a locked facility and 24 hour care. He had escaped his home several times in the middle of the night prompting our decision to find a memory care facility for him. At Somerford, he has not felt the need to "escape" once since he's been there. At Somerford, he feels "safe and relaxed"....his very own words. The "circular" layout of the halls, the pleasantly decorated rooms and the beautiful gardens give the facility a very open feeling. The staff is also very friendly and kind. They know how to motivate without being "pushy." Everyone, including the maintenance and administrative staff, keeps an eye on the residents throughout the day, gently redirecting as necessary. I also like having nurses on staff 24/7. Just remember that if your loved one needs medical attention in the ER or urgent care, you will need to accompany them. No one will accompany them from the facility. Unfortunately, I was in the ER a lot.

Staff is excellent. Very clean and friendly. A secure environment for those with dementia who have a tendency to wander.

I was very impressed with the staff and overall feel of the community. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for Senior Living for their loved one.

My 93 year old mother seems very happy and contented at Woodmont. She enjoys the food and friendly caring people at the facility. Her room is large enough for a double bed, dresser, highboy, bistro table, and two chairs and a recliner. She has a walk in closet and nice sized bathroom. Her words "This is a nice place, the people are friendly, and the food is good". I would recommend anyone looking for assisted or senior living take a look.
