5's across the board - I am so very pleased with my moms comfort and care at New Perspective of Oakdale! Staff is friendly, inviting, and willing to answer any questions you may have. It's like Cheers! Everyone knows your name.

.Cleanliness of the facility 4 but they're planning to replace all the carpet soon so that would make it a 5. Some of the décor is not the most modern but it's definitely clean and presentable and for the crowd there it's probably perfect. Administrative staff 5 very helpful, hands on, responsive, personable, proactive. There's a new chef starting soon so we'll see...Activities are a3 but still too early to tell, they've only been there for a month. Value for the money is a 5!!!

I feel very lucky to live here. This community is very comfortable. Everyone has been very nice to me. I can't say anything bad about anybody or anything. I'm very happy I decided to move to Richland Woods.

They made my mom feel welcomed and loved every day. Everyone is very attentive and friendly to all of the residents. [name removed] really looks after my mom like family and it’s much appreciated !!! They make sure that she comes out of her room for her meals and try to get her involved in activities by reminding her that things are going on throughout the day. Without that encouragement, my mom might really feel alone, but she does not hear. This has been a really hard experience for my mom yet they make it smooth every single day with everyone’s help..

The staff get to know residents very well, care is tailored to the resident's needs with an "age in place" model. The cookies baked fresh daily, the flavored water, the variety of menu options and activities are wonderful. Some areas of the facility have what I consider a "nursing home smell" that can be unpleasant but it seems to be limited to only a couple of specific areas. The rooms, hallways and gathering areas are kept clean and tidy. They seem to work hard to give the facility the feeling of "being home" with a welcoming community.

The building is warm , cozy, and "just like being at our own home". The entire staff at Sunrise are kind, helpful and they are genuinely sincere about wanting to help the residents that live there. The food is very good . The menus are diverse enough that they would appeal to a wide range of folks. I feel that my sister and I made a fabulous choice of a " home" for our mom. By the way, my 93 year old mom feels the same way!

RUN for the tour and interview at Sunrise before hesitating and wasting your time as I did on other facilities first. Sunrise surpassed [name removed] and my needs, expectations, the competition, pricing, offerings, knowledge, care, customer service, friendly staff at every position and a place for mom’s high referral. The facility is more like an updated and clean upscale home atmosphere with great views in every room of woods, nature or courtyards conveniently located. Phone is always answered; messages promptly returned 7 days a week. A request for our needs was no problem. They effortlessly followed through with every detail, service, commitment and last minute emergency change etc. I cannot say enough about Sunrise who went up and above handling what had morphed into a stressful situation on both of us from a simple procedure at a well known hospital providing solutions for us short term and long term if needed. They gave us the peace with dignity nobody else did.

With the exception of the dining room there seems to be sufficient staff, all of whom are friendly and helpful. Dining room is under staffed. It is beautiful. The room is good size and cheery. I was impressed by the features included...weekly cleaning and laundry including put away. Cable TV included. Friendly associates. The hope of outdoor areas.....once spring arrives. Mainly I believe my brother is safe and taken care of.

5's across the board on them all. Coming from my father in law he said the food is really good compared to his last place. He likes the area that the facility is in the staff is very nice and everyone has been very welcoming.

I appreciate the kindness and professionalism so many of the Care managers show to my mom in memory care. They really make the effort with her in their communication. I know many of them by name ([names removed] I don't want to leave anyone out). They are very dedicated to the care of the residents.

Everyone has been friendly and made my Mom feel comfortable. We also feel welcomed. I like that there are various levels of need in the building. I appreciate that they allow pets to visit. I also chose the place because it the location. I can walk to my Mom’s building.

Moved our 92 year old mother into the Waters and they have been wonderful in helping her with the transition. She is in specialized care and support/care has been wonderful. We are very happy having my mother at the Waters.

My mom has been living at Sunrise for over a month while healing from a sudden health issue impacting mobility and cognition. When looking at different facilities, it jumped out to us that Sunrise asked just as many questions about Mom’s condition and ways to support her as we were asking about them. The care plan is customized to her needs so she feels comfortable and supported. The whole staff treats Mom with respect and care, as well as the rest of our family! We are very involved in Mom’s care and we’ve gotten to know a lot of the wonderful staff. When adjustments have been needed for Mom, they’ve been happy to pivot and help. And Mom receives her PT and OT on-site! The support and flexibility of Sunrise is helping not only Mom, but our whole family caring for Mom.

My parents were residents of Richland Woods for a few years until their passing. They were both in their 90’s. Our family had such a sense of peace knowing they were in a place of care and compassion. I know they felt that too. The layout of the facility is perfect with the dining area in the middle surrounded by individual private apartments. Also included is a courtyard, and beautiful outdoor space. The whole facility is exceptionally clean and comfortable.

This is a great place! My loved one feels safe and that gives us peace of mind. She feels right at home. The staff is very caring. The building is always clean and taken care of. The meals are delicious. The activity program offers something for everyone.

I’ve lived here for 7 years and just love the view of nature outside my window! I’ve met many nice friends and love breakfast with my friends! I have worked with many therapist through fox therapy and they have all helped me maintain my independence!

My mom has lived at Richland Woods for over three years. She is treated with compassion and dignity every day. The Community has activities geared towards stimulating the mind as well as the spirit. Nutritious, healthy and delicious meals are the norm. This is a safe Community that your loved one can call home.

My mom really enjoys living at Richland Woods. There is so many activities to do. She really enjoys that. She is a creative person. They have crafts and exercise there. That is great because it keeps their mind and body in shape. She enjoys the meals. You can order what is on the menu or get a la carte. The portions are good and they are tasty. I have eaten there with my mom and I enjoyed it. I am very happy that she is there. The staff and care service is caring and does what is needed for the patrons. I like that my mom has made so many friends.

Because of my health, I researched options for assisted living several years prior to needing it. I chose Island Shores. The decision was made because residents here were engaged and smiling, as was the staff. In addition, the facility was very nice. After moving in, I was pleased to find that my assessment was correct. The staff--management and department heads, facilities including dining, housekeeping, conceire, and activities, and health care (caregivers/nurses) are all outstanding. Each department works deligently to provide a wonderful place to live. Response time to inquiries and requests is fast. Although everyone here is great, the caregivers deserve special recognition. Everything else can be great but if caregiving is not great, nothing else matters. They are deserving of special recognition and fair wages. This profession is known for lower wages but it takes special people and should be compensated accordingly. I hope that New Perspective willing take a lead in this goal.
