New Perspective Senior Living

I’m loving life here at Westlake Woods. As a resident, I get to enjoy the independence I cherish while having access to amazing amenities and services. The community is warm and welcoming, I’m so grateful to be a part of it.

I recently had the pleasure of touring Westlake Woods and I must say it’s the best senior living community I’ve ever had the opportunity visit! The entire experience was exceptional, and I attribute a lot of that to [name removed]. She was super helpful, knowledgeable and did an amazing job showcasing the community’s amenities and lifestyle. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch senior living experience. Special thanks to [name removed]for making our tour so informative.

We spent a lot of time looking at other facilities. We checked corners of hallways for cleanliness, dust on light fixtures, how the staff greeted people not only us, room designs, security, programs for residents, and of course cost to live there. Many more things but how the facility is managed was very important.

The Apartment size was great and the staff when explaining what they offered was great as well. Very professional staff in comparison with the last staff of the previous facility they moved from.

5's across the board! Smaller than other places. Better vibe than a mega apt building feeling. I've only experienced Minnetonka and yes I would recommend them to others. Assume others follow similar model.

The process of getting into the facility was a 5 - sales and onboarding was great. They worked really hard to get us in on a short timeline. Facility itself - haven't really been there long enough to have an opinion on much of this. Based on my parents' feedback so far admin staff is great, nursing staff a little hit or miss. They are not on the dining plan so no opinion there, and haven't taken part in many activities yet. They are very much still adjusting to the change.

Staff very pleasant and easy to work with. Before moving try to understand the level of help needed.

It is a wonderful and active place to live for all older folks from active seniors to those in memory care. I love it here.

The building is beautifully decorated. There are lots of activities. The chef and servers are all very nice and the food choices are great. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.

Extremely conscientious. The staff make time every day for my mom and ensure that she won't spend her time in her room alone. I can be confident that she has companionship, stimulation, community and thoughtful care. They are vigilant about making sure she eats.

Everyone is very friendly and my dad is happy there. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

Care is wonderful

When my mother passed at the facility almost every worker there said they were sad to see her go. She had only been there two and a half days. Very friendly and concerned. Even got a hug from one who said my mom was so sweet.

I’m super impressed with everything New Perspective offers The attention to their residents, cleanliness, and overall professionalism truly sets the bar here in Mankato! Great job, keep up the good work.

There have been so many updates to the community, its so welcoming and clean. Staff are friendly when you walk in and walk around. New leadership team and staff in the community. Meals have been a big turn around since the new CSM and Kitchen Coordinator took over. Activities are so fun and engaging. I am truly happy with the move I made.

We would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

We've had a great experience so far with New Perspective. Minor food consistency issues. The facility is always clean and has fun holiday decorations. The staff is always helpful if we have questions. We appreciate the fact there are always staff and residents around when we visit. We've had residents approach us when we were first visiting that wanted us to know how much they enjoyed living there!

We have entertainment every Friday. Happy hour Mon-Fri. Also swim exercise class 3 times a week. Also they gave exercise classes. We play euchre Mon.& Tues. We take trips to restaurants, ice cream, pontoon rides. etc. For those without a car they take trips to grocery stores & walmart and Target.

Excellent all around! My aunt is in memory care and I've been touched by how she seems to be truly loved by the staff. [name removed] in particular is a vibrant and engaging woman whose presence really makes the care exceptional!

New Perspective was exactly what our family needed. Our dad suffered a stroke and we weren't sure if he needed assisted living or memory care. They were able to accommodate us in both settings until we found the correct fit for dad. The staff were so supportive and genuine in their care. We received exactly what we needed in a lovely, clean and comfortable facility. We would highly recommend New Perspective.
