New Perspective Senior Living

We have entertainment every Friday. Happy hour Mon-Fri. Also swim exercise class 3 times a week. Also they gave exercise classes. We play euchre Mon.& Tues. We take trips to restaurants, ice cream, pontoon rides. etc. For those without a car they take trips to grocery stores & walmart and Target.

Excellent all around! My aunt is in memory care and I've been touched by how she seems to be truly loved by the staff. [name removed] in particular is a vibrant and engaging woman whose presence really makes the care exceptional!

New Perspective has been a great experience so far. Administrative staff is very responsive and involved. They know my dad, me and my sister and encourage us to reach out if we have any questions. Caregivers are very friendly, responsive and kind. Smaller size community is nice. One bedroom apartment is very comfortable. Other residents have been nice and welcoming too.

New Perspective was exactly what our family needed. Our dad suffered a stroke and we weren't sure if he needed assisted living or memory care. They were able to accommodate us in both settings until we found the correct fit for dad. The staff were so supportive and genuine in their care. We received exactly what we needed in a lovely, clean and comfortable facility. We would highly recommend New Perspective.

My mom said the staff is super friendly and she feels like they really take the time not only to get to know the patient, but also the family. She cannot stop raving about the staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nursing staff are especially competent and caring. Take a tour of the facility to see possible apartment sizes (Studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom) availability.

This is a great community. It is small, which allows for a very personal experience. The staff is all great. The 4 rating on quality of care is only based on not having enough aids to help on a timely basis. The quality itself is for the most part excellent. I do believe the issue is not finding good staff and budget constraints. Which I believe you will run into everywhere. It is a beautiful facility with many many different activities. I would recommend this place to anyone. However, I don't know if you are aware that they are changing management at the end of May I believe. It will no longer be Sunrise, it will be run by New perspective senior living. They say that nothing will change, we will see.

The staff is fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Lots of activities. We would absolutely recommend the community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

My father was only there for a short time, but everyone took very good care of him during the last weeks of his life.

I have been working at New Perspective North Shore for over a year now. I have loved the residents and team mates I have had the privilege of getting to know. The community is beautiful and the food is the outstanding.

My grandmother was admitted there and it has been nothing short of royal! They cater to her, her meds are given on time, they have great meals and a wonderful dining experience. The staff are very polite and understanding. If you’re looking for a place for a loved one, this place is wonderful!

The staff on memory floor. It was {name removed]that got me into the facility. All the people there were wonderful and treated us very kindly during a hard situation.

The facility has a very warm home feeling as you walk in. The staff are very welcoming to guests and residents. There is always an opportunity to join in on an activity of various kinds from cards and games to learning about animals at the local zoo to local musicians coming to play. The residents rooms are spacious and comfortable. Nice big windows to see outdoors. Plenty of room to move around in. We are very glad that our loved one is in a safe place that she will be cared for.

5's across the board - I am so very pleased with my moms comfort and care at New Perspective of Oakdale! Staff is friendly, inviting, and willing to answer any questions you may have. It's like Cheers! Everyone knows your name.

.Cleanliness of the facility 4 but they're planning to replace all the carpet soon so that would make it a 5. Some of the décor is not the most modern but it's definitely clean and presentable and for the crowd there it's probably perfect. Administrative staff 5 very helpful, hands on, responsive, personable, proactive. There's a new chef starting soon so we'll see...Activities are a3 but still too early to tell, they've only been there for a month. Value for the money is a 5!!!

I feel very lucky to live here. This community is very comfortable. Everyone has been very nice to me. I can't say anything bad about anybody or anything. I'm very happy I decided to move to Richland Woods.

They made my mom feel welcomed and loved every day. Everyone is very attentive and friendly to all of the residents. [name removed] really looks after my mom like family and it’s much appreciated !!! They make sure that she comes out of her room for her meals and try to get her involved in activities by reminding her that things are going on throughout the day. Without that encouragement, my mom might really feel alone, but she does not hear. This has been a really hard experience for my mom yet they make it smooth every single day with everyone’s help..

The staff get to know residents very well, care is tailored to the resident's needs with an "age in place" model. The cookies baked fresh daily, the flavored water, the variety of menu options and activities are wonderful. Some areas of the facility have what I consider a "nursing home smell" that can be unpleasant but it seems to be limited to only a couple of specific areas. The rooms, hallways and gathering areas are kept clean and tidy. They seem to work hard to give the facility the feeling of "being home" with a welcoming community.
