Mustang Creek Estates

Overall 4 stars. Good value. Like most places they struggle with staffing issues, but have been good about covering the requirements.

We enjoyed our visit to Mustang Creek and felt a welcoming and warm approach to our visit. We were offered brochures and activity charts at this facility and would definitely consider Mustang Creek when choosing. I will have to be getting with my sisters, discus our options and get their input before getting back with you on this. Thank you for your help.

If you are looking for a fairly affordable assisted living place for a loved one, I would recommend Mustang Creek in Allen. It's unfortunate when our parents are left without a choice and it becomes the responsibility of other family members to find an acceptable, affordable, friendly and clean place that caters to the residents, but I find Mustang Creek to be that place. I am grateful for everyone there.

Very nice, clean facility. We liked the idea of the houses rather than a larger building however we were looking for larger personal living spaces. This facility the personal space was a small bedroom and bathroom.

While nice, this is not what we are needing for a couple, It serves a single person better. The staff was great and all of the houses were clean. We love the area and wished the rooms were bigger. The thing that will stop us here is that there is no Medical staff on site.

This is a good assisted living option. Facility is new. Residents are grouped into specific 'houses'. The common areas are large and open, but in carpeted, so they are loud (not so great for people with hearing aides). Rooms are studio-type only -- where the bed and living area are all in the same room. Kitchen is part of the common area. This looks like a really nice place if you are looking for more 'attentive' senior living (assisted in nature).

My dad has recently made the move into this community and so far I have no complaints of how things are going for him. The staff have been excellent to his needs and I am comfortable with the care my dad has been receiving. He has been absolutely loving his dinning room experience and is always saying how good the meals are that the chef prepares. Overall we are very happy with our choice of this place for my dad and would recommend it to anyone.

I really liked this community when I visited. The people I met were friendly. This is an older community with big trees and a lot of shade. This is a beautiful community, unfortunately they did not have any openings at the time we needed.

The staff at this community are great. They are accommodating and my loved ones like them, however I think they could use more staff. The staff are caring, quick to respond to medical needs and concerns brought to their attention. They keep up with the laundry and make sure the sheets are clean. We have good communication and the staff are all on the same page. The food is good. The director is awesome and works with the family. My loved ones are comfortable here.

Mom is doing very well here since we moved. She has a private room which is nice for her. The staff is very nice and professional and kind. She likes the food here. There is a little garden area out back where they can enjoy the fresh air. The community is very secure the staff are the only ones who have the code to enter and exit the community. I feel very good knowing mom is safe and secure especially with her eye sight declining.

After touring at different communities I started to realize assisted living was too expensive for one on a fixed income. There are not many respectable options. The community looked very nice but it was just not a good fit. A Place For Mom is great and I appreciate their services, it is helpful.

This is a nice community, and our tour of it went well.

My father has recently made the move into this community and so far things are going well for him. The staff have been helpful and I am comfortable with the care they are providing him. He is enjoying the dinning experience as well as the tasty meals with the other residents. He is enjoying the activities as well as some of the other great amenities that keep him busy. Overall we are very happy and would recommend it to anyone.

Mom seems to be settling in nicely at Mustang Creek. They offer daily activities and the community is clean. The food is good and they offer some healthy options. We liked the setting of this community as it is like being at home. You feel comfortable when you walk into this community and I would recommend it.

I have no complaints of the tour I had taken of this community for my loved one. The staff where helpful and on time to our visit. The floor plan was open and I liked that it was easy to navigate throughout the building. I thought they had a nice selection of amenities for the residents as well as other activities. It was a great place just not the right place for mom in the end decision.

I have no complaints of how things are going for my mother since she made the move into this community. The staff have been fantastic and I am comfortable with the care they have been providing my mother. She has had no complaints about the meals and participates in the activities she is able too. I am very impressed how her experience at this place has gone and would recommend it to anyone.

So far mom is adjusting to her new surroundings very nicely. She seems quite happy and content there. She is not one to socialize so she hasn't joined any activities that they offer. The dining hall is right across from moms room so she goes there for every meal and seems to like the food a little it could be better but it could be much worse. The staff is friendly and helpful. They keep the outside and inside very clean well maintained. I would recommended them

Conversation with staff was very personal and helpful. Small group home in a community of individual group homes at various levels of care, consistent caretakers, personal care.

This is a larger community and I did not think this would work for my loved one. This community did look nice and they seem to offer some nice amenities. THe people I met were friendly.

Things are going well for mom since she moved into Mustang Creek. She likes the food, however the total care area she is in does not offer any choices unless you do not like what they are having. They do offer daily activities and the staff are friendly and encouraging. I like that she is in a small area and someone is always there to help.
