Spoke with the woman from this facility. They have a fulll time nurse on staff. Cost is $250/day. Only 15 people in memory care. Most come from the assisted living community that they run. Good program.

Liked all of the common areas, seemed very clean. Assisted living apts. seem small but nice. Did not like that they don't have Wifi b/c my mom loves her computer. Not so big on assigned seating all of the time; food was average but service seemed good. I worry that some of the staff are not even LPNs; many are CPAs or only go through Brandywine's training. Liked that they have 24/7 nurse on-site and can do sliding scale insulin. would prefer a place that has skilled nursing on-site. Liked the 92 degree salt water pool (but a little small) and all of the activities; liked the Memory care area and courtyard. About 22 residents in memory care; all beds full. I think 40-some in Assisted Living. About 5-6 couples. Did have a small fitness center that he could use, but I think w/ supervision. LOVED that all residents are Longwood Gardens members, and they have transportation there 3X/week. Loved the front family room and porch area; loved the colorful aquarium. Liked the country kitchen area w/ access to snacks.

After having some issues with the medical staff at her previous community, I moved my friend to a new community. We came across Brandywine, but it was too expensive. For some time, they reached out to me a lot, but it was still out of my friend's price range. Finally, they agreed to give us a better price for what they said was going to be better care than what she was previously receiving. After the Covid-19 pandemic came about, they informed me that they would not be able to continue with my friend's care. In addition to this, they have been difficult to get information from regarding her care. The staff seems very overwhelmed and they oversold me on what they were going to have available for my friend. The community is beautiful, and very clean. They have a lot of activities as well for the residents to participate in. The food is also much better than at my friend's previous community.

As a Long Term Family member I have seen a lot over the years I have to say Reflections (Dementa] needs a serious Re Do !!! Activities they need more! More Engaging! Sensory let’s cook [name removed] they have a kitchen why not use it? Take them out onto van go to McDonald’s or a ride Treat them as People Activities is the worst except for [name removed]Train your staff more this unit has behaviors I see it these girls work hard The one thing I want to say is the Evening nurse at 3 [name removed] She is above professional she has a huge heart She loves my mom and all the residents She also leads a good team there is mutual respect and love between [name removed] and her evening staff Families adore her Now the long term Day nurse has changed over 6 mo lack of empathy lack of care it’s evident she belittles staff in front of family and staff She is a good person just needs a break The other day nurse in reflections speaks as she is uneducated calls my mom sister and to be honest scares me that she is a nurse that is [name removed] is the Best others to recognize. My mom was only there a little over a month but she loved it. She had a beautiful room and loved the aids. The food was only fair at best but she loved her room so much it made up for the food plus we brought her her favorites. I didn't like the coldness of the administrative staff after my mom died. Not even an "I'm sorry for your loss" My mom considered that her home as we did. Hope they read this and have sympathy cards mass produced. It means a lot to the families. For that reason, I would not recommend Bella Terra. My mom deserved better.

My parents were here for a while. They kept dad locked up, and there were no activities. The goal was to keep my parents together, in spite of different levels of care being needed, but this just didn't work.

Things have been going down hill after moving in. Sometimes I'm kind of surprised in the condition she is in when I get there where she has food smeared on her face, her hair not always washed. They do have 24 hour nursing staff. They have a memory care unit but no bars on the beds, no alarms on the beds. There are cords to be pulled but a dementia patient won't know to pull them. The head nurse tries very hard and the other nurses are good but there is not very good communication between one shift to the other. Medication was not always put in the log. Perhaps they could hire more staff. Each care manager has eight patients, that may be a bit high. I don't think they are unkind, but there is room for improvement.

After our loved one was here only a short amount of time, our loved one fell and was injured. It seemed like they were not caring for our loved one. They didn't provide the services they advertised. The administrative staff promises one things but the medical staff delivers something else.

She was not very happy there. She definitely didn't need that level of care. She continues to be very independent and didn't like not having her own kitchen to cook in. She also didn't like that the staff would randomly let themselves into her apartment without knocking and scare her. The independent living is not meeting expectations that were portrayed during the initial tour of the facility.

The Fountains has had a total renovation. The place look great. If your loved one is more independent The Fountains is a good place. If your loved ones requires assistance you may want to look elsewhere as there is not enough staff. On a good day you may find 3/4 caregivers for the entire building. On overnights there are 2 caregivers for the entire building. The weekends the staffing is less. There are daily activities but a lot of downtime without activities. The food is good and there is a nice variety offered.
