I want better activities during the day

My loved one resides here I have to be honest it’s ok definitely not as attractive decor as other Brandywines Food served at poor temp so needs to be hot Many visit I find snacks empty on Reflections this should be replenished as well as the hydration with fresh iced drinks The fruit in main dining area that sits out is always old spoiled not appealing One issue is Activities I’m so tired of coming in to Reflections to see them in front of a tv sleeping or left to stare at each other The coordinator when you approach her she claims she does activities but I never see a calendar I never see activities unless tv or weekend sing alongs where’s the trips? Trivia somthing I have been in at 10a 11a 1p 2p and same day after day when they do watch a movie in Reflections it’s on small tv It’s very concerning this escapades Director needs to go look at other brandywines I have wanted to speak up to [name removed] or [name removed] but to be honest I think that Director would be evil to my mom in return

Spring Meadows has good size rooms and the staff seemed very nice and had a lot of good information. The outside surroundings are lovely, but the inside looks very tired and is need of a face lift.

Did not work for us

The staff at this expensive community did not seem to be very attentive. My sister fell twice when she lived here for about a month. You have to be down at a certain time for meals. We did not have the best experience with this community.

A Gem of a Facility

My tour of this community was a very nice experience. The community appeared to be well-kept, and the staff was very friendly. I was impressed that the staff members moving about greeted many residents by name. The decor of the facility is warm and "homey" and appealed to me immediately. Had there been availability at the time, I would have definitely placed my loved one here. I would definitely recommend this facility.

They put on a good show during the tour!!

I have concerns about the administrative staff at this community. No one seems to return phone calls and I have been billed for medication that the insurance should be paying. I cannot get a response to see if the insurance has been billed for this. We were not able to visit during the first two weeks she was there. The caregivers are nice and take good care of my aunt. They keep the community clean and she seems to like the food.

This is a nice facility but it was not a good match for my loved one. We were needing more care, 24 hour care is not included. However, all the staff were accommodating and the experience we had was good.

Missing items again and again!

If you plan on putting a family member here, don't make the mistake of leaving anything of value with them. My mother lost a diamond tennis bracelet within the first month. Her clothes seem to change. Must get mixed up in the laundry. I bought my mom some clothes for Christmas and two items immediately disappeared. One item was eventually found. The worst was when the gold chain with my dad's wedding ring disappeared. It's been over a month now a it has not been found. If anyone else had this problem, please post it and inform the Jackson PD. Someone should keep track of this. If this has happened to a family member please email me at; [removed]

We have one that complains about the food, and one that thinks it's fine. I think the one that complains is used to more salty foods, and this is a little bland. We have had something go missing from the laundry already and it's only been about a month. They were one of the few that offered two bedroom apartments. The administrative department is a little disorganized and lacking.

Hearing good things

I haven't visited it myself, but my relative lives here and seems to really enjoy it. She has a deck, which she really enjoys as well. She had some medical difficulties but they were able to continue to care for her. Moving into a new situation like this can be very difficult and I am glad Brandywine made the transition easier on her.

Very Expensive Memory Care

The Hearth was not suitable for my mother because they didn't offer an intermediate level of memory care. It was very extensive memory care and we didn't feel that she was getting that much out of it. I would not recommend The Hearth for anyone who has Alzheimer's because they're really very unequipped to handle it outside of their memory care unit which is very expensive.
