Very disappointed with the level of activity offered to those in memory care. There's a great schedule posted of activities offered, however there isn't anyone dedicated to working on activities with the memory care for so those activities only happen sporadically. I'm told they are seeking to hire someone to fill the gap.... It's only been 30 days so perhaps that's still in the works. You certainly want to get the right people. I've also witnessed some staff who are fabulous and committed to caring for others while, as probably is the case wherever you go there are some who just don't give a hoot and should not be in this field of employment.

Nice building and rooms. However outside area was not as inviting as it was too sunny and looked like it was only used for special events.

Nice size rooms although the overall layout of the building seemed a little confusing. Much traffic noise on east side of building, but only when window or patio door is open. Nice bathroom set-up.

Did not seem to have enough staff. Clients just sitting in a row in a hall with no stimulus. Viewed a room and it reaked of urine.

Stated that when they placed there family member in the community, they were falsely told about the covered benefits included in the total cost. They were informed just as papers were to be signed that the loved ones medication was not included and further stated that they were told else wise, and after signed contract they were informed of other "new" cost that now cost them almost 650.00 more a month than their prior estimate. However the family said that was the only bad experience they had, but other than that their experience is good.

They declined to accept my husband or even talk with me and allow me to tour because he has had anger/aggression. So if your loved on has this issue, this may or may not be the place for you. They were very polite and kind and offered other recommendations, however.

Very nice place. I know I will get tried of the dining room with the same people every meal for 90 times a month. Visited 9/26/2014

Our experience with The Legacy at Georgetown as been a somewhat disappointing one. The facility itself is nice looking, and the staff are all very friendly, but they have quite a few areas they need to improve on. To start, the orientation process for new residents and their families could be much better, as well as just the communication with families in general. Memory care is not a one size fits all type of care, and they could do a better job working with the families to design and customize a care plan for their loved ones. I would also be more comfortable if they were better at documenting and providing proof of the care they say they're providing. The facility also feels understaffed. While the public areas are usually kept very clean, the individual rooms do not get much attention. They could also do a much better job with the activities, I'd like to see more outings and events for the residents. Overall it just feels like there is a lack of direction and leadership from both the administrative staff as well as the nursing and care staff.

Nice visit with Linda Lee and had lunch. Found monthly rent high and 2 units we viewed were right on 19th and noisy. Level of activity was not what we were looking for. Linda Lee was very helpful with questions. Food was adequate and choices available. No pool but YMCA close by.

It’s very understaffed. I hear the food isn’t very good. There had been a change of ownership and my loved one was told the previous owners ran it so that it was nicer. The laundry is okay. The staff that was good, there just wasn’t enough of them.

It was the same situation as so many other facilities. When you get into the nursing home facilities the people need way more care. It wasn't a nursing home but it was in between where they had people on duty. I really didn't like the gal that showed us around. We were turned off by her.

I was not impressed at all. We did not have the head marketing person give us the tour. We had the second in command and I just got the feeling she didn't even want us there. I was not pleased with that. We got in and got out. Aesthetically, it's lovely and their memory care was a house that you and I would want to live in. You didn't see the people but just the whole space and it was gorgeous. I'm an interior designer too and I thought this is gorgeous. I'm sure it's puts the relatives of the residents at ease. I think makes them feel very good.

Close to my house. Great bistro and courtyard.

Studio too small. Special studio size OK, but do not need kitchenette.

Brand new. Across from Balboa Park. Unique feature is "flexible eating schedule". Will upgrade rating if interior, apartments and costs are good.

Seemed clean and well-staffed. Nice that pets are allowed.

Nancy Phalen conducted the tour. The lobby and dining room feels very institutional, like a large college dormitory. The food was unappetizing. The rooms were very clean and well appointed, though a bit small.
