The activities usually are good, but with covid they have been shut down. The staff members and other residents are very friendly.

My dad has been dealing with the manager here and she has been very friendly and helpful. He said the staff is always very friendly as well. He does say the food needs improvement, it does not taste good at all. We have had some issues with the billing department with them saying he owes money but he does not. They do not provide paper bills here. Based on the billing issue and the food, I would not recommend to others.

The dining is pretty restricted due to covid, and when it comes to the food they use low fat supplements like aspartame. It is just not up to par. The staff members are great, outstanding and very friendly.

If you needed safety and security this would be a good fit. The apt sizes are ok, but they offer several different options including 1 and 2 bedrooms. I would recommend this facility to others if you can afford it.

The kitchen situation is nothing short of abominable. Very little fresh food. Most food is canned, boxed, or frozen... poor quality and coded with fat and grease. There are few healthy options ie fish. Maintenance is reliable. The place is clean. I like the location; fairly quiet streets and close to shopping options. They have stopped services; yet keep charging full rent.

Compared to different areas around Florida, Merrill Gardens value is pretty fair. The overall organization is nice given that this is a larger community. Our loved one really enjoyed the food at first, but since COVID everything has changed. The meals are now being delivered to their rooms, so the quality of the food per our loved one has gone down dramatically. Our loved one is living in a two room apartment, and it is perfectly spacious for her.

I would want people who are looking into the Residence at Glen Riddle to make sure you loved one is properly placed between personal care and memory care. They did have a lot of COVID cases. I would not recommend this community to a friend or family member.

I think it is a good community. I think the staff need improvement and additional training. If your family member is in need of a higher level of care, this would not be the place. I would recommend this community to other families depending on what the needs of their family member was. We chose this community because it was recommended to us and I was impressed with the nurse,

only 3.5 rating out of 38 only. Assisted living only....sounds "too old" for mom.

Clean , overall nice staff, some things fall thru the cracks , not great communication not much for activities and food is not healthy or pleasing. Lot os starches , gravy and sugary desserts . Not much choice in menus residents complain about food a lot. Still waiting for changes

[Name removed] was extremely kind in my blunder of scheduling. I am sorry to say we were not as pleased with the facility. As soon as we entered a group were doing exercise classes right inside the front door. The activities room was less than organized. They showed us a studio apartment and we would have liked to see a larger one bedroom. There was a move-in special and pricing was less than others but the quality was also less. Not on our list.

Nice enough. Apts are small, no luxuries. Lots of activities. All meals provided. Good tour, everyone friendly. Good location n heart of Madison.i

[Name removed] is extremely helpful and friendly. She presented facility as a smooth, dedicated, supportive operation. I may go back for another visit during the morning hours to get a better view of daily flow and chance to speak to residents. My rating may improve.

You should ask about the food. Most days it’s good but other days it cold and very boring. They change the menu a lot right before serve. When your set on what you going to eat and it change. It’s fustrating

We were told by two separate residents that food wasn't that good which is a bummer as the food needs to be delish. The common areas looked tired with stained / worn furniture. Halls looked nice. Not the best layouts for common areas. Didn't get the feeling that the "care" would be wonderful as the staff had a ho-hum attitude.

Out of her price range for 1 br but a great place

Although I think they do a great job with both assisted and memory, I don't like the strict separation between the two levels of care. Mom isn't quite at the level or need of their memory care but she needs more help than their assisted offers

Nice location.. too expensive for amenities offered. Great for very active people. Did not like activities offered. This place was just not for us.
