Overall experience with Cypress Place would be a five plus. When we were able to go visit the facility itself and my moms room was kept very clean. The staff in the memory care are wonderful they would be a five plus plus, my mom is very well taken care of. They take very good care of all the residents and are always thinking about what is best for them at the time. Before COVID they would go on small outings and take walks to the store.

What we really liked about this community was how nice the staff members were, and how clean it was kept. The food was good, for the most part our loved one liked it. The rooms were nice, and we would recommend this community.

I would highly recommend this community. The friendliness of the staff, and the nurse will call us anytime they think we need to know. My loved one has fallen a couple of times, and they have let us know immediately. The care is great, and I feel that we couldn't have done a better job ourselves.

I cannot express my joy enough on being able to place my wife here. In an urgent situation for us, [name removed], sales director contacted me within an hour of requesting info on line late on a Saturday afternoon. [name removed] listened to me helped determine what we really needed and began working to make it happen. She stayed with me all weekend via phone calls & texts, calming me, explaining the process to determine if my wife was a candidate for admittance showing great empathy and allowing me to advocate for my wife while she was in local hospital. Met with staff on site on Tuesday. Great 1st impression when I entered the facility. Having been a firefighter & fire inspector for 44 years, you get a feel for a building and operations when you first enter. The building was exceptionally clean, organized and staff demonstrated a high level of competence. I was comforted when staff proclaimed they did not see my wife as an forever occupant but rather one that hopefully with time & work be able to return home. In the end my wife was accepted and entered the facility upon her release from the hospital. I am confident she is in an outstanding facility and they have put my mind at ease for her welfare. My everlasting thanks to [name removed], she is an amazing person.

We chose this facility because of the proximity to our house, cost, and the initial visit went really well. Also, we really like that it is all inside. Some of the places we saw you had to walk outside to get to the dining area and other parts of the community. The room sizes here are very spacious, she is in a one bedroom and it is plenty of room for her. The food is very good, they have a lot of variety on the menu. I would say my favorite part about the community would be how they have handled COVID. They have handled it in an incredible manner. They keep us informed by email every week with what is going on inside the community.

We chose Merry Wood on Park because it was located close to us and the reputation that it had. The room sizes here were very large and spacious. I would want other families to know that I would choose this facility for myself if I need assisted living. It is more like an apartment community with fine dining. It is as nice as you could ask for.

I visit the Villas often for business, but also ... my mom's best friends live there. I've seen the facility from both a professional and personal standpoint and I can say, without a doubt, I would recommend The Villas of Holly Brook in Shelbyville to anyone. The ultimate stamp of approval ... I would not hesitate to let my own mother move in!! The apartments are updated, efficient, and you can make them your own. The activity room, dining hall, and lobby are hotel worthy and the courtyard is fantastic. If you're in the market for assisted living ... take a tour!!

I have been to several events at Holly Brook in Shelbyville and every time has been such a treat, the staff was always so very accommodating and friendly. i could not get over how out of their way they went to evolve the community with the residents getting them active with family and friends all around. to see smiling faces on the older generation while they played with the kids, instead of the doom and gloom usually seen in an old folks home was a breath of fresh air and i wish my grandmother had a place like this in her last days.

I visited the facility when they hosted an event (before COVID). What a nice looking facility and the residents who I spoke to said they loved it there. They offer so much for their residents and anyone visiting someone who lives in that community makes it a very inviting place. The young adults in the surrounding towns use one of the common rooms (before COVID) as a place for prom, homecoming, and senior photographs. Being located in a Corps run lake, just adds to the beauty of the area. If you are thinking of moving to this type of community or have a loved one who could benefit from Villas of Holly Brook. I highly encourage you to come visit and check it out. The staff are great to work with as well.

We chose Chevy Chase House because they were very welcoming, the director of nursing came to the hospital to see my mother and do an assessment and she was so amazing. Everybody here could not be any better. They have options on rooms, the more you spend the bigger room you get. My favorite part about this community is that it feels like family. Everyone here from the director to the staff members, they know the residents by name, their individual needs, and they go out of their way to do everything for their residents. All I have to do is call or text and they are there right away. The other thing they do that is very impressive was when we first got there I spent everyday there with my mother, going into the dining area, we just sat the two of us. They really pushed us to sit with other residents and get to know other people and make friends. It was really important to them.

i think their friendly staff and the ever day care from the workers was impressive . They seemed to really like my mom. The staff were very attentive to her. We chose this community because it was new and they had a nice financial incentive. The management staff were very upfront about the turnover in the kitchen staff but were addressing it. I really liked the welcoming front lobby area and the beautiful view of the front range for the residents to enjoy.

The community is always spotless. The staff is very caring and have been excellent. They have been very good about communicating with us about how they are protecting the residents from the Covid-19 pandemic. They are also good about updating us regarding my mother's health. They have been very on top of my mother's care and are very good about anticipating her upcoming needs. They have been very good with keeping my mother active. Even in her less mobile state, they take her for lunch and make sure she is engaging with other residents and activities. Although not cheap, The Peninsula is not expensive either and you get a lot of value for the money. It is a very well run community and the head nurse is excellent and is very on top of the care of the residents under her supervision.

[name removed] has been a pleasure to work with during this most important move from AL to Memory Care, assuring me she would take care of [name removed]'s move on my behalf because neither myself nor my Geriatric Care Manager were allowed to be on hand for [name removed]'s move to MC due to COvid-19. [name removed] handled the details very professionally, thoroughly, carefully and skillfully. [name removed] followed through with all details she advised would be taken care of during and after the move. During 53 years of marriage to [name removed], I have always handled every detail of our local and international moves so you can imagine my concerns about not being able to take care of his important move to MC. It was important to make [name removed]'s hew home in his Memory Care Unit as close as possible to his prior AL Unit to enable [name removed]'s to keep a routine. I am impressed with [name removed]'s attention to detail in her handling of the Majestic Relocation Moving Company and the placement of all [name removed]'s furnishings so that the transition could be the best possible for [name removed]'s. I am grateful that [name removed] kept me informed about the completion of the move with photos of his furnished MC Unit affirming that [name removed] can follow his routine much like before in his AL Unit. I’ve lived at Smithfield Woods for three years and I consider myself blessed that I landed here. I’m a bit younger (mid-60s) than many of my fellow residents and I needed a place to live after I fell and broke my leg. The staff here is excellent, from management, to the CNAs, to maintenance, to the dining room staff. There are lots of different activities and you can join in as many or as few as you want. I chose one of the larger apartments with a living room, bedroom and huge walk-in closet at the end of a hallway, so there’s not really any activity and it’s very quiet. Having this larger private apartment has made it easier to feel more like home. I would strongly recommend Smithfield Woods as a great place to choose if you’re in the market.

This is a beautiful place. All newly renovated, warm and inviting.. it is mostly independent living, which my mom does not feel ready for.

The staff truly enjoyed caring for our Dad, who has dementia, while he was in respite. The staff interacted with him, he ate better and became more communicative. It gave us peace of mind to not have to worry about Dad. People with dementia still have value and something to offer the world, our Dad was thankful, polite and kind to the staff, as we all should act.

You could not ask for a sweeter group of people staff & residents! My mom was welcomed in like family. The facility is beautiful, not like a stylish 5 star hotel. The food is really good & there’s lots of entertainment & options for outings!

my folks lived at the Shelbyville Villa's for over 2 year, in that time I seen a lot of changes, but the biggest change was towards the end of there stay, that the Villa's hired Erica to run it. She took charge and things began to change, she hired more help, trained them to perform there jobs better, got a better staff in the kitchen to put out better food. The nursing staff has changed, but it was very good before. So all in all this was the best place for my parents to enjoy their retirement with other people there age, and gave me a piece of mind knowing they were very safe..

The Villas took such great care of my friend. They always made sure she was fed well, was dressed nicely, and made her feel like she ran the place!
