Meridian Senior Living

We visited 5 different assisted living facilities and found The Meadowlands reached our needs. The workers are so nice and friendly and they really care for the residence. I drop by several different times of the week and have meet nearly all of the employees, they all seem to really care and call the residence by their names, sort of like an extended family.

My Mom lived there for 2 1/2 Yrs. coming from Fl. Unfortunately I had to move her to an Assisted Living Place, she fell and fractured her Hip and needed more Help.She was very happy at Merrywood and the Staff is friendly and cheerful, sorry to say not were she is now. The Apartments are very nice with Balcony, she used a lot. She had a 1 BR Apartment, with Kitchen and Washer /Dryer in the Apartment.

We love it! They're wonderful. My mother is in the generations unit there and she's getting wonderful care. We're really happy there. She's not at all participating in anything but the do have a lot of activities. They play bingo, they do music and have art. They do exercises and take them on outings. I think it's a very good value. The care is wonderful. My mom likes them better than she likes me! She just gives the caregivers the biggest smile. That makes me feel good. I think of all the places she's been, Claremont Place is the best.

Atria was wonderful, wonderful, extremely friendly staff it's just that his dementia progressed to the point where they couldn't take care of him anymore.

So far everything has met and even exceeded our family's expectations. The staff are cheerful, friendly, helpful, and all seem to know your loved one from the get go. They are all willing to help and are very patient. My mother loves the food and has no complaints whatsoever. Mostly, I feel she is cared for, valued and respected, which is oh so important.

Assisted Living at the Meadowlands was a perfect fit for my mom. She wanted hardwood floors instead of carpeting, and she really likes the landscaped grounds that she has a nice view of from her place. She also liked that they have 7am-7pm meal offerings, there's no set time which is more convenient.

Loved the 1st impression of a clean and comfortable place. The size of the rooms, and the floorplans that were well thought out. The bathrooms were especially nice. The shower had a cushioned pull down seat. The price was lower than other places with more living space. It was a quiet neighborhood. The facility was very calm and friendly.

Dad gives this place very high marks after visiting it.

Would give maintenance 3.5 out of 5. The primary reason we selected Hidden Springs was that we could easily migrate her from Independent living to Assisted living when needed.

We chose Cypress Place because it was closest to my home and also it had more of a homey cozy feel to it as opposed to feeling like a hotel or cruise ship. It just fit his personality the best. They do have a system where you have to talk to someone at the front desk to get buzzed into the memory care area, so quite often you have to wait. Breakfast and lunch are terrific, but dinner sometimes has not been so great. The staff have all been wonderful. I would definitely recommend this facility to others who are looking.

This is great if you want someone close to DC with a good price and good size. My loved one really enjoys the staff as well as our family.

I thought Villas of Holly Brook - Marshall was very nice. It was a great facility, very clean, and the people there were really nice. It just wasn't going to fit our mom’s needs - her dementia had progressed too far.

Overall, the staff has been absolutely fantastic. They're great people, and they cater to my loved and myself very well. It's been a hard transition for me, and they recommended a support group, which has been golden to me. From the director to the people who do the cleaning, they all you know your name and call you by name. They really go out of their way to make sure they know you and your loved one. I'm very pleased. It was a good choice.

It is an okay community. The community accepted my loved one into the community. My loved one is close to home and that was important to me. Gentry Park worked with me for the memory care unit. I am thankful for the community working with me. The Marketing Director was a saint to me and worked with me all weekend through text messaging; to allow my loved one to come into the community. Most of the meals looks appetizing. There have been times that the kitchen staff will forget juice, silverware, or glasses.

I have been to the Villas several times for visits. One thing i noticed was the residents all seemed to be happy, satisfied and without complaint. I believe the best way to evaluate the quality of an assisted living facility such as this is to see how the residents present themselves. Everyone i met was comfortable, content, and happy to see us. That tells me that this facility is a quality place.

My mother has been at Hollybrook for 2 years and we are very happy with the place. Even with the Covid-19 problems they are often coming up with novel entertainment ideas that are thoughtful. I am impressed with their safety measures as well. Before Hollybrook we were at a facility in Springfield that cost much more and the staff was quite bad, regardless of the shift. We also tried another that had very good staff and also cost much more but my mother didn't like the multiple levels or the formal, stilted atmosphere. This place doesn't have those problems at all. As others have said, the Hollybrook price is quite competitive, the single level is great for exercise and figuring out how to get around and the homey atmosphere of the place is not intimidating.

My mom has been at Hollybrook for a year now. We took her out of a much more expensive facility to be closer to home. Before that she was in a more expensive facility for rehab that packed people in like sardines. She actually likes Hollybrook better because it is more like family and there is lots to do. She likes going to the movies, most every afternoon. An added bonus is that it's cheaper than Springfield facilities. The staff has been great, too. The best way to put it is that it's very nice but it's friendly, not fancy and lonely.

I am really happy with the services and treatment my parents are receiving at this location.
