Meridian Senior Living

They have quite a few activities for us residents to participate in. The living accommodations and apartment i am in is excellent. I first came here as independent living which was great, but now i am moving to assisted living and so far my experience has been pretty good.

During the weeks our loved one was there everything was fine, there was a lady who worked in administration right before she switched over was absolutely fantastic. From what we could see the community was kept clean and the staff was friendly. They did have activities, they even did a small activity for Halloween.

Gentry Park is great for our loved one, she is doing great there. Our loved one is very active there, they are still able to do activities especially ones she enjoys. She has adapted very well, the rooms are very nice and the apartments are very lovely.

I would steer people to the community. There is easy access to all of the buildings on campus. The staff is kind and the food is amazing. The residents are fabulous. All the residents have received their vaccines. My loved one was able to teach the residents mahjong. The community seems to be running smoothly. The chef meets every other week with the residents and listen to the residents on what they would like to eat. The chef is accommodating to dietary restrictions. My loved one says the food is restaurant quality.

I think that this facility has a very cheering staff, It maintained well and is a very pretty place. We were happy to have our mom there. I would recommend this community to others.

this community is an excellent place for your family member to be. The rooms are good sized about 800 sq ft. The food is good but not as good as it was in the beginning. They have made available a zoom meeting to see your loved one. They do hall parties, and hall bingo, and exercise routines for in your apt. They have had a great plan for covid and the communication is wonderful. They set up a plan and communicate what you need to do to come to visit.

The moment we walked in they did everything they could to met my expectations. They make sure my mother is safe. They are close to where I live and we wanted my mom to be somewhere she likes. The chef is wonderful and they can order food whenever she wants. The staff is so friendly and the caregivers do my mom's makeup and hair and she loves it. the pricing is better than most communities and the value is amazing.

Overall experience with Cypress Place would be a five plus. When we were able to go visit the facility itself and my moms room was kept very clean. The staff in the memory care are wonderful they would be a five plus plus, my mom is very well taken care of. They take very good care of all the residents and are always thinking about what is best for them at the time. Before COVID they would go on small outings and take walks to the store.

What we really liked about this community was how nice the staff members were, and how clean it was kept. The food was good, for the most part our loved one liked it. The rooms were nice, and we would recommend this community.

I would highly recommend this community. The friendliness of the staff, and the nurse will call us anytime they think we need to know. My loved one has fallen a couple of times, and they have let us know immediately. The care is great, and I feel that we couldn't have done a better job ourselves.

I cannot express my joy enough on being able to place my wife here. In an urgent situation for us, [name removed], sales director contacted me within an hour of requesting info on line late on a Saturday afternoon. [name removed] listened to me helped determine what we really needed and began working to make it happen. She stayed with me all weekend via phone calls & texts, calming me, explaining the process to determine if my wife was a candidate for admittance showing great empathy and allowing me to advocate for my wife while she was in local hospital. Met with staff on site on Tuesday. Great 1st impression when I entered the facility. Having been a firefighter & fire inspector for 44 years, you get a feel for a building and operations when you first enter. The building was exceptionally clean, organized and staff demonstrated a high level of competence. I was comforted when staff proclaimed they did not see my wife as an forever occupant but rather one that hopefully with time & work be able to return home. In the end my wife was accepted and entered the facility upon her release from the hospital. I am confident she is in an outstanding facility and they have put my mind at ease for her welfare. My everlasting thanks to [name removed], she is an amazing person.

We chose this facility because of the proximity to our house, cost, and the initial visit went really well. Also, we really like that it is all inside. Some of the places we saw you had to walk outside to get to the dining area and other parts of the community. The room sizes here are very spacious, she is in a one bedroom and it is plenty of room for her. The food is very good, they have a lot of variety on the menu. I would say my favorite part about the community would be how they have handled COVID. They have handled it in an incredible manner. They keep us informed by email every week with what is going on inside the community.

We chose Merry Wood on Park because it was located close to us and the reputation that it had. The room sizes here were very large and spacious. I would want other families to know that I would choose this facility for myself if I need assisted living. It is more like an apartment community with fine dining. It is as nice as you could ask for.

I visit the Villas often for business, but also ... my mom's best friends live there. I've seen the facility from both a professional and personal standpoint and I can say, without a doubt, I would recommend The Villas of Holly Brook in Shelbyville to anyone. The ultimate stamp of approval ... I would not hesitate to let my own mother move in!! The apartments are updated, efficient, and you can make them your own. The activity room, dining hall, and lobby are hotel worthy and the courtyard is fantastic. If you're in the market for assisted living ... take a tour!!

I have been to several events at Holly Brook in Shelbyville and every time has been such a treat, the staff was always so very accommodating and friendly. i could not get over how out of their way they went to evolve the community with the residents getting them active with family and friends all around. to see smiling faces on the older generation while they played with the kids, instead of the doom and gloom usually seen in an old folks home was a breath of fresh air and i wish my grandmother had a place like this in her last days.

I visited the facility when they hosted an event (before COVID). What a nice looking facility and the residents who I spoke to said they loved it there. They offer so much for their residents and anyone visiting someone who lives in that community makes it a very inviting place. The young adults in the surrounding towns use one of the common rooms (before COVID) as a place for prom, homecoming, and senior photographs. Being located in a Corps run lake, just adds to the beauty of the area. If you are thinking of moving to this type of community or have a loved one who could benefit from Villas of Holly Brook. I highly encourage you to come visit and check it out. The staff are great to work with as well.

We chose Chevy Chase House because they were very welcoming, the director of nursing came to the hospital to see my mother and do an assessment and she was so amazing. Everybody here could not be any better. They have options on rooms, the more you spend the bigger room you get. My favorite part about this community is that it feels like family. Everyone here from the director to the staff members, they know the residents by name, their individual needs, and they go out of their way to do everything for their residents. All I have to do is call or text and they are there right away. The other thing they do that is very impressive was when we first got there I spent everyday there with my mother, going into the dining area, we just sat the two of us. They really pushed us to sit with other residents and get to know other people and make friends. It was really important to them.
