Understanding independent living vs assisted living is an early challenge. MerryWood on Park is a smaller and much more personable facility. The apartment sizes are great for what is needed and for the price.

We had a great experience! The staff are all very attentive to the residents. I highly recommend Smithfield Woods, I wish that they till had the option for short-term respite stays!

Nice friendly atmosphere. I have independence, great staff, excellent food, good activities, cuddos to activity director. I love my cottage in independent living it's perfect for me, and close enough to get meals and my hair done.

I feel like every one I meet here between staff and residents are my friends. Lots of good creative activities. Many outings. I feel safe in my independent cottage and if need be medical attention is there if need be.

Memory Care employees are especially kind, thoughtful & helpful. Willing to listen to your concerns & work with you & resident. The room size in memory care is Just right for my Mom's needs.

[name removed] and [name removed] were so helpful! The facility is very well maintained and we are so fortunate to have them in our community. I temporarily had to place my family member in another facility while waiting for an available apartment at Brookstone. My experience there was not great, but getting moved to Brookstone has been great. I can’t say enough about how attentive the staff has been.

Excellent from the first person I met. Very upbeat facility - lots of smiles, both residents and staff. Lots of activities. Memory care area superb. Program well explained. Definitely what I was looking for as a place for mom.

My loved one was previously a resident at Villas of Holly Brook Herrin. The facility is great. However, my loved one was unable to adjust to Assisted Living and had to return to a nursing home.

The friendliness of everyone is what sticks out the most. It certainly stands out the activities. Keep you busy as you want to be. The food is good and the menu changes regularly. I even talk to the salesman, [name removed], one of the outstanding employees here.

Staff is friendly, informative and open to suggestions from family members. Easy move in process, great activities & interaction with residents. I would recommend them.

We have been working with Lisa at Brookstone in aledo, il to find a place for our dad. She and the other staff there are very friendly and helpful. It looks very clean and well kept. We would recommend this place to anyone.

The staff was very helpful and often times went out of their way to help family members that were unable to be there in person. He was diabetic, and they kept forgetting to bring him diabetic meals - which he happily ate!

Staff is very kind and helpful. Food is the least desirable but the facility is overall very good. I would recommend Villas of Holly Brook to others looking.

The activities Director is absolutely marvelous! Her name is [name removed]. Everyone, all the staff, are friendly, helpful, courteous. Could not be nicer. My apartment is very comfortable and the facilities are very nice. There were some growing pains during the first year because the building was brand new. Adjustments needed to be made but those were understandable. there are many activities to get involved in or if a person chooses they can just stay in their room. I am very happy with my choice of moving here to live. Depending on what you can afford, there are 1, 2 and three bedroom apartments. Amenities are excellent. There is a pool. There are exercise classes. I can get my physical therapy here in my room or in the gym where they have some more equipment. We have a theater room and activities room a bistro. We have happy hour every Thursday with entertainment coming in from outside. We have parties to celebrate holidays and we have them dinners once a month where staff dresses up and there are special decorations, and a special elegant meal. Attitude makes a big difference. There are some people who are here who have complaints. I don't. But I tend to look on the positive side of things. They complain about little things that go wrong and don't understand that in a large organization like this things aren't going to be perfect. when you look around and you see a lovely new building, comfortable accommodations, and people making a true effort to do their best, one needs to appreciate that. I have found most all of the residents to be wonderful people wanting to live life to the fullest. The Landings is also very conveniently located close to 417 if one needs to go anywhere or if people want to come to visit.

All of the staff were always willing to help. They knew all the residents' names as well as their rooms. Dining room staff knew the residents' preferences. Housekeeping was always on top of my husband's room. I have already recommended The Meridian to a neighbor. When time comes for me to move to assisted living my plan would be The Meridian. The only disappointment we experienced was on the day of move-in no one came to tell us what to do with my husband's medications, medical papers or issue him a personal call button. It was a few days before Christmas which may have been the reason.

All levels of the staff are friendly and helpful and caring. I have already recommended this facility to others with high praise.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They take the time to get to know the residents and their family by name. They go out of their way to accommodate all requests and are patient in responding to questions and/or concerns. There are a plethora of activities for all interested. And, they intentionally create environments and activities that are inclusive to family members of all ages. The Pinnacle always smells and looks clean. It's bright and cheery. Since moving to The Pinnacle, my mom looks different. She looks happy. She has made so many friends and it's forced her to learn and remember names and faces. It's helped her stay active and her mental state has improved dramatically. She's out and about within the building and participating in various new activities. We are all very happy and satisfied with The Pinnacle.

Overall the community provides everything needed for comfort, supportive care and programming. The size of the community makes it slightly impersonal. Administration is not very accessible. The building was brand new and extremely clean and has been maintained to date. Services provided are excellent. It is within a half hour of my home.
