What we like the most about Mercy House is the smallness of it. Get to know caregivers and patients. Dr. Comes to residents. Yes, we would most definitely recommend this community to other families.

The building is a little older and we were not impressed with this. The people we met were very nice. When we went on our tour it did not seem like an active community. The residents were just sitting around.

Facility has lots of cosmetic issues throughout both homes. Staff tells you what you want to hear but don't always follow through. Facility seems poorly run. Told 2 to 4 hours of activities but seems only to have an hour each day and nothing on weekends.

The overall experience is far to good. The cleanliness is far, our loved one is not out of her room enough but she has had mold in the main room. The staff members help our loved one up but they will not work with [name removed]. More lack of quantity when it comes to quality of the care. Meals are ok, the activities are rare but she is brought out to the. She liked the movement to Elvis

I was not impressed with Sodalis New Braunfels at all. The main turn off for me was the lack of bathrooms that the facility had.

This is not a good place for your loved one, My dad was extremely bored due to the lack of activities. The food was often cold and was of very poor quality. I would not recommend this community to others.

Small community, nice staff, dorm style with bathroom down hall. No private living area, bath, closets. Seems residents are too low functioning for my mom who just needs some help. Not enough stimulation for her.

We toured this community for my mother in law, and her needs. Our went well, and everyone was very kind to us. The community looked great, everything was very nice, and clean. It was a good experience, but we did find a community that suited my mother in law needs better.

I enjoyed my tour of this community that I had taken a short time ago for my father. The staff where vert helpful and friendly and made sure to give us lots of great information of there facility for my father. I just did not like how closed off everything was and the floor plan just seemed a little awkward for my liking.

Overall this a community I would recommend, but I would recommend that they improve on their wound care. My mother has had some accidents, and I don't feel her wounds were tended to properly. Other that that issue they do a good staff here. They have been really kind, and attentive. They do a good job with the cleanliness of the community. Everything is working out pretty well so far, and this is a good community with kind people .

I did a tour of this community. It was an older building, not very open. There were very few bathrooms in the community but they were always locked. The staff was wonderful i did like the way they were.

This place would be appropriate when the patient has almost no or no idea where they are or who anyone is around them. The caregivers are kind. There’s very little to do besides watch TV or sit outside. Very small facility.

Sodalis Memory Care is very pricey. The medications are not covered at the VA. We are paying a lot for my father-in-law to be there. I wouldn't say they are terrible but they are kind of in between. He complains about their food. They give him a lot of pasta and he is diabetic. He tells them that a lot and they don't listen to him. The staff always greet you and ask how you are. They do no activities here. I guess that's why my father-in-law is bored. We are trying to see what to do.

The only activity I was aware of was an employee picnic. The medicine was not given properly. The bathrooms were kept locked. The food was poor. There were no activities for residents. The administration was unable to help with our issues. We withdrew my mom after only a few days. The staff would often be in the other physical building so unable to help. Also the other residents were not alert enough to be companions.

I would not recommend Mercy House of New Braunfels to anyone that has a loved one that needs extra help and is in the last stage of life. They are under staffed and if your loved one is unable to feed themselves or toilet themselves. This is not the place for them. Mom was unable to talk and tell us anything but her health rapidly declined once moved in. They have a nice staff and facilities it is just understaffed and poorly run.

No bathrooms in the room, they are in the hall and the clientele have to get a staff member to unlock the door. This was not the place for our mom.

My dad lived at Rocky Hollow Lake House for over two years, and our experience over the last six months was deeply disappointing. Despite my mom repeatedly asking for Dad's room and bathroom to be mopped, his bed sheets to be changed, and for him to be showered at least twice a week, these basic requests were often ignored. The toilet in Dad's bathroom was out of order for multiple days. Dad lost 13 pounds during his last seven weeks at Rocky Hollow Lake House because the facility lost their cook. Additionally, there was constant turnover in the housekeeping, maintenance, and nursing staff, which severely impacted the quality of care and services. Due to these issues, my mom, sister, and I decided that Dad could not stay in this poorly managed facility any longer. We ultimately moved him to a different memory care facility where his needs could be properly met. I hope this review assists others in their search for a memory care facility for their loved ones.

We chose Sodalis Waco because they were offering the care we needed, they were the only place in town that provided daily respite care and I did not want to have to put him into a home. I would want others to be aware of the fact that they do not handle aggressive behavior very well. The director was not there to oversee what was going on and we have to end up transferring him. Overall, I would not recommend at this point.

My brother in law's mom lives here. Everything has gone downhill since new owners took over. Just thought you might want to revisit. How do I take this one off my list?
