[name removed] could have used more attentive care when first moved into Memory Care, at least for the first few weeks. A friend went to visit during the first few days and found her unattended all morning and not monitored during meals to ensure she was eating. I later learned that there had been staff changes during that period so It might have been an anomaly. I am limited in information due to living so far away from my cousin.

Attentive and caring staff. It's not a perfect situation, but they actively do their best. The food is fairly bland and there are not many options for improvement. Although for an elderly home, they likely need to have it that way due to resident sensitivities.

It is a nice facility and it was the best choice. Most were friendly. One nurse was belittling and rude to my father. They did very good job. Variety of foods. . Lots of fun activities. I thought it was a good value. Overall I give Chancellor Gardens a 4.0. My dad was end of life. Hospice said he would probably pass that day. He laid in his bed not moving, and had been that way for days. His breathing has lessened significantly. The staff came in every two hours. I was there when the staff came in and did their check. All of a sudden, his eyes flew wide open and he was looking at the ceiling. He was focused. It was startling. I knew for him to have that kind of reaction someone or several being were calling him. One of the aids started laughing and continued. She did not leave the room. I knew he was being called home. His body just stopped breathing, no breaths in or out. The other aid went up get someone else who came in to take his blood pressure. I was by his head telling him that we all loved him and thanked him. They said they got a pulse and they all left. He wasn't breathing. My sister and I were able to spend the next two hours with his body. It was very peaceful. I am very glad I had that opportunity. I wondered why the staff hadn't come in. My sister called the funeral home to come for his body. The aids came in as on the 2 hour schedule. I told them he passed when they were in last there. They ran to get the nursing director. When she and her assistant came in they were frantic. It was very clear they knew they dropped the ball and were trying to distract us to cover their error. They had to open the window to let out spirits. It was chaos. They were loud. They needed to dress him in his clothes. I understand the aids were young and inexperienced, but the nursing director knows better. And, they tried to cover up the obvious. People pass all the time there. What was total peace turned into hysteria. They left and we went back to total peace. When the funeral home came for his body it was peaceful. There business is a difficult one. Very grateful for most of the things they did.

It is very that they are aware of dining schedules and the transportation schedules. Also they need to know that a nurse is available at all times for questions and help.

The nurses were amazing, they took great care of my mom. The director was responsive to any concerns. They had fun activities but my mom was seldom able to participate due to her situation. The food was good and they worked with her unique diet issues very well.

The response time for caregivers to show up to the unit is very long. It can be up to any hour or sometimes even longer from the time one presses the button. The facility is well kept (clean, lighted, etc). The staff is courteous. Management is not very responsive to emails or messages.

My wife is in memory care so it's a little more restricted. but it is secure. I believe I made the right choice. The interaction with the staff has been very good.

On number 8 regarding value. I just got notice that rent is going up $[removed] per month. Getting a bit pricey and closer to long term unaffordability.

I feel that I have thrived here because of the wonderful people who both live and work here.

I love the building with the mature landscaping in the courtyard. My Dad's apartment has doors to the beautiful outdoors. The director is amazing. The rest of the administration is not as good. The aides are mostly good. I understand they come and go.

My brother doesn't go to the dining room as he is quite large & the chairs wouldn't accommodate him. He can call & order a meal & pick it up, but he has trouble walking so he doesn't do that either. Mostly, he has microwavable frozen meals in his room.

We thought we paid to have someone help her get to meals, to shower, etc. Many days she went without a meal because no one came to get her. She felt like she was a burden, like her helpers were too busy, disgruntled about helping her.

With the meals and dining this is the biggest complaint my parents have, menu is limited to they're taste, but food is satisfactory. I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far

This is not the place for my mom's failing health. The majority of staff is friendly. One of the management staff needs to learn compassion and understanding. If you have medical conditions, this is not the place to be. A special request diet is not honored. The menu is general. The menu should list low sodium, fat, etc food options. If you have good health and mobility, there are great trips. The place is very expensive and keeps increasing in price. If you are in good health, it is a nice facility.

I would give them all a 4 because it's not home and that would be a 5. The only one I would down grade would be food. at would be a three because she is diabetic and needs mechanical soft food because of having no teeth. The staff is wonderful and my mom is very happy there. It's a smaller community which my mom liked compared to some of the big places.

It's very well run. They have lots of programs and good food. And nice spacious grounds.

Staff is very friendly and responsive. Building is very clean, and well maintained. This is a smaller community, so staff seems to know (or know of) all the residents and families. There seems to be as many activities as my mother wants to do. (She doesn't do many). She reports that the food is good.

I would recommend. However, they were talking about a large increase. So that would have to be assessed and compared.

The staff are friendly but could improve on response times, and there are great activities.

I like that there's a lot of activities to keep my dad busy and social. However, the dining area needs to hire quality staff for serving and cooking. The chef that was there when my dad first moved there left, and they haven't got the kitchen back to the level that it was before. Unfortunately, my dad pays all that money, but he ends up ordering in a lot because the food there is just horrible
