My aunt is kind of forgetful so when I ask her about the laundry or the cleaning she says they cleaned but she's not sure exactly what they've done. I just don't know how the process works. I think it would be helpful to have a sort of infromational packet for when you first put someone in a place like this and you don't know what you're doing, like me. For example, the laundry. Am I supposed to strip her bed for her so they wash her sheets or do they do that? I was calling and asking questions everday and they were really nice about it but I think a little info sheet would be nice. I can tell you that they really did make my aunt feel comfortable. Within days they were calling her by name and I think that really made the difference in making her feel comfortable and safe there.

They are really good. They have been quite nice to work with. My mom is a big bingo player so she likes the bingo and she loves the food. They are very responsive and attentive - just the nicest people! They make you feel welcome. They have a nurse who is there 24/7 so they are able to administer medications. They've been great.

The price of Cottonwood Creek seems to be right on par with the other comparable communities in the area. Currently there is an odor of urine in the hallway but they are working on it. Our loved one is really having fun here they have lots of activities. It just seems like they were the right fit for our loved one. The landscaping is good and the community is very beautiful when you first walk in. They have fresh flowers in the lobby. The food looks really good it has a beautiful presentation. The food taste a little bland but I think that is because they have to cater to elderly. They do have a great salad bar for lunch and dinner. The dining area is setup like a restaurant they have a wait staff. The staff here is super friendly and we have nothing but positive experience with the people here. They bend over backwards to help and care for the residents.

The Courtyard at Mt. Tabor was by far the friendliest and least institutional places we looked at which is why we chose it. Everyone in the family loves it but mom has had a slow adjustment, with dementia her opinions about the place changes daily. I think people looking for a place for their loved one should plan for unexpected costs. Everything that happens costs more, and it's not unique to the Courtyard, the senior care industry has lots of hidden costs that no place will share with you until something happens and you need more services. Those unexpected costs should be considered when budgeting for a loved one. The Courtyard at Mt. Tabor also offers a lovely independent living option and then the resident can transition to its assisted living option when needed. Someone in the industry recommended the Courtyard as the best facility for couples who may need different levels of care but want to live together in the same place. I thought that was a high recommendation coming from them.

McDowell Village is fresh and clean no stale air smell. The layout of the facility is great and has been enhanced over the years. The people are very helpful and friendly. The food is good and the outdoor property is lovely and attaches to the senior center. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor common areas.

Overall experience...4-once we got in the experience was great though expensive. Value for the money..[Amount Removed]non-refundable fee just to apply! We started the application process on[Date Removed]. Did not move in till the [Date Removed]. Patient died on the morning of [Date Removed]. Patient was glad to finally get into the facility and to die there. He received good care between the facility staff and Kaiser Hospice.

Staff/care is excellent. Everyone at the facility is very welcoming from the desk staff to the ED. This was a major part of our decision as it really feels like a warm, welcoming and engaged community. Activities are great and ever changing based on residents living in the facility. The activities Director is seemingly always there and creates programming specific to residents which is a big help with engagement. Food is great and the restaurant-style service is a really nice touch and makes residents feel special. Facility is very clean minus a bit of construction. However the construction is not a huge problem as it means quite a few upgrades, which is nice. My dad's floor recently got completely repainted and new flooring since he's moved in. The landscaping outside is also beautiful. Room size is about what you would expect, but balconies in most rooms is a big plus. My dad has a single bedroom unit which gives him TWO balconies (one in bedroom and one in living room) which is very nice. I would recommend Cottonwood Creek to other families.

The staff is very caring and work hard to accommodate their clients. The director of nursing is very attentive. Like all these places they need more staff. Some activities are better than others, but they make an effort to having regular outings outside the building which my husband enjoys. It's very expensive.

It was very nice! I really liked it!!! However the room was small. We found another place that was less money and bigger rooms.

All of the staff is amazing! The festivities they put on for the residents and their family are outstanding! Food is decent. The rooms are decently sized.

There is no price for security... or shall we say it's a high price, but a luxury all the same. I feel great knowing mom is at Estancia Del Sol for several reasons. Knowing and trusting that your parent is safe and happy is an incredible relief. She is now comfortable asking me to leave, so that she can attend Bingo or any number of other activities. After 6 months and some attachment to her garden at home, she came to the realization that there was no substitute for the daily activity and the friendships she was building in the facility. While she is able to maintain an aggressive individual center, she knows that this environment allows her to have the human interaction she craves as well. Every day we visit I am trying to supply her, box by box, with furniture and decor to make here room a bit more obvious.

The people here are fantastic & the place is kept up nicely. I wouldn’t say change anything. It’s run very smoothly. Of course, the parking can be the pits but very busy area. My evaluate: the parking is very difficult. I've parked over at the Target parking garage when visiting. I've eaten with [name removed] a couple of times and the food is adequate. Nothing I'd write home about but it's difficult to cook for so many people and have everything taste ultra fresh. [name removed] is right, it's clean and everyone is pleasant and helpful. I don't have much else to compare it with. [name removed] only toured NG Plaza, none of the others we'd called. My sister recently moved into Mt Lake Terrace Plaza, the sister facility to NG and my impression of it was it needs a refresh. Grounds nice and her room ok but NG is nicer. 4+. I know, no place is perfect nor does it have the privacy of home but it's nice for her respite stay.

I'd give them 4 stars - the rooms are clean staff very helpful and friendly. They have good activities and interact with the residents well. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

The Firs appears to be a friendly community. It did not have some of the amenities such as washer and dryer inside each apartment or air conditioning in the units. I enjoyed the tour and [name removed] answered all my questions. Thank you for the opportunities to visit this community.

Mom complains her food is often cold. The admin sometimes doesn't return phone calls.

The facility is great, clean and bright. Food is good. Communication is sometimes difficult between staff and guests. I don't feel that I get updates and or input from the staff on my husband's routine.

Sale person was knowledgable and very nice. The rooms are pleasant but small. Food smelled great. Limited parking may be a problem.

Overall, the experience is pretty good. The facility is excellent; built just before the pandemic and built specifically for memory care, easy clean surfaces, TVs with in-wall wiring, and strong WiFi everywhere. In the last 22 months there has been a lot of turnover in the help staff. I think this is common in this industry. There has been a core group of really talented help staff that balances out the turnover. Turnover includes the activities director; the current one is hard working and excellent. Food is moderate portions, tasty, and healthy.

Most of the staff are very helpful and kind. The sales person [name removed] was excellent and the front desk is very kind and responsive.

What we like the most about the community is their very friendly staff. 24 hour staff in case of emergency due to the assisted living side. We would definitely recommend this community to others! They are so friendly and ready to help. They know my husband and I as we walk in. Great emergency response.
