I toured this facility when I was looking into care options for a loved one. I thought this place looked very nice overall, and I'm sure it would have satisfied our care needs just fine! The facility itself was nice looking, and the staff all seemed very friendly. We ended up selecting a different facility that was a little closer to home, but this place is definitely worth a look if you are searching for senior care in the area!

My mom is having a great time. She does activities. She signs up to go places. She is driven to doctors apt. She goes to the store. She has a restaurant where she is able to order food. You cannot miss the Buffets that Glen puts on once a month. She walks and talks to everyone.

Moving my mother from Tucson, Arizona to Phoenix was helped tremendously by knowing, "A Place for Mom" was there. With their suggestions we viewed 5 different living communities and with my mother found that Tuscany seemed to be the best fit for her. Residents and all of the staff were/are very helpful and made my mother feel very comfortable with her decision. My mother is very happy and has been very busy at Tuscany. The food is wonderful and made as if you were at a fine restaurant. The staff is very caring and the residents are open and inviting to make all feel very welcome. I think all the positive energy at Tuscany helps the residents also. I know I've seen a very positive change in my mothers attitude since being at Tuscany at McCormick Ranch.

They have been wonderful! One of the things we first noticed is how neat and clean it is. Everyone is just wonderful. We feel like we get our money's worth, she gets great meals there and we don't have to worry. She is still acclimating, getting used to the schedules. They have been really good about getting back to us with any questions. They really made the transition for us pretty smooth. She is able to be independent and have more services and programs added as she needs them.

The staff is trained well. I like the feeling of being at home. The communication is very open. It's very clean. They are taking very good care of my loved one.

They really don't do that many activities here. They tend to do a lot of movie watching. When they clear the dining rooms, they use one of them to play DVDs. As for the value, it's the cheapest around, but I would say that it would be worth around $2500/month, and nothing more. The rooms are small and very minimal. There's about enough room for a bed, a side table and a chair. I think they could really benefit from more field trips and outings. They don't really get out much. We did choose the Adobe house, though, because it has a much better atmosphere than the others we looked at. It doesn't have that corporate feel that some of the other bigger companies have.

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. My mother-in-law was a little resistant but that very quickly turned into comfort and enjoyment due to all the activities and choices. She seems to be embracing the facility and is especially fond of the staff. So far the experience has been a blessing for our whole family.

Everyone has been very helpful and caring given the hard choices which have been made. The employees and other tenants have gone out of their way to provide a welcoming experience. The best part is knowing my parents are getting nutritious meals daily.

We're very impressed with the memory care here! It's a large, and well run unit, and they've got a ton of activities that people of all levels of care can participate in. The staff are very friendly, and they made it very easy to get her transferred over and had a lot of resources to help us out. The only issue I've noticed is that the carpet in the common areas and hallways could use a bit more attention when it comes to cleaning. I would also like better feedback with areas of concern. Sally and Britney are great.

When I walked in the door at The Inn at Greenwood Village, I was pleasantly surprised. It was warm and welcoming and the scent of home-baked cookies filled the air. The administrative staff was welcoming and gladly answered all my questions and even provided more information for me to review. As I toured the facility, I observed a serene environment with content residents chatting, playing games, cheerfully greeting the staff I was with, and visiting in groups on the back patio. The always-open bistro had snacks and fruit on the counter for residents to help themselves to as well as coffee, cocoa, chai tea, lemonade, and other drinks. I was told that they make homemade cookies in the afternoon as well. The calendars, which were posted and available at various locations, presented a wide array of fun activities each day for everyone to participate in, if they chose. When I left, I knew that my mama would love coming to The Inn at Greenwood Village and making this her new home away from home.

It was very nice. There were a couple of disadvantages in that the two bedroom apartments were located in a separate building from the main building. They did have complete kitchens. The separate buildings was a primary reason I chose another place. Another reason was that they had a long wait list to get in.

They've had some problems with the billing. That has been sort of mixed up and confusing and my mom hasn't been real pleased with them becuase they direct clients to their doctors. I don't know if there is any financial incentive for them to do that. Maybe their just trying to be helpful. The really like the food and the gym. It was the only place that we looked at that had a work out room. My parents have gone to some of the lectures and shopping trips and things like that. The thing that made my mom choose The Wellington was the other residents. She though they were perkier, brighter and move involved people. The Wellington was willing to work them on the price too.

Chancellor Gardens is located close to family so it makes it easy for them to visit. Across the street there is a place you could conduct physical therapy. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We are pleased with Chancellor Gardens and would recommend them to anyone.

My aunt is kind of forgetful so when I ask her about the laundry or the cleaning she says they cleaned but she's not sure exactly what they've done. I just don't know how the process works. I think it would be helpful to have a sort of infromational packet for when you first put someone in a place like this and you don't know what you're doing, like me. For example, the laundry. Am I supposed to strip her bed for her so they wash her sheets or do they do that? I was calling and asking questions everday and they were really nice about it but I think a little info sheet would be nice. I can tell you that they really did make my aunt feel comfortable. Within days they were calling her by name and I think that really made the difference in making her feel comfortable and safe there.

They are really good. They have been quite nice to work with. My mom is a big bingo player so she likes the bingo and she loves the food. They are very responsive and attentive - just the nicest people! They make you feel welcome. They have a nurse who is there 24/7 so they are able to administer medications. They've been great.

The price of Cottonwood Creek seems to be right on par with the other comparable communities in the area. Currently there is an odor of urine in the hallway but they are working on it. Our loved one is really having fun here they have lots of activities. It just seems like they were the right fit for our loved one. The landscaping is good and the community is very beautiful when you first walk in. They have fresh flowers in the lobby. The food looks really good it has a beautiful presentation. The food taste a little bland but I think that is because they have to cater to elderly. They do have a great salad bar for lunch and dinner. The dining area is setup like a restaurant they have a wait staff. The staff here is super friendly and we have nothing but positive experience with the people here. They bend over backwards to help and care for the residents.

The Courtyard at Mt. Tabor was by far the friendliest and least institutional places we looked at which is why we chose it. Everyone in the family loves it but mom has had a slow adjustment, with dementia her opinions about the place changes daily. I think people looking for a place for their loved one should plan for unexpected costs. Everything that happens costs more, and it's not unique to the Courtyard, the senior care industry has lots of hidden costs that no place will share with you until something happens and you need more services. Those unexpected costs should be considered when budgeting for a loved one. The Courtyard at Mt. Tabor also offers a lovely independent living option and then the resident can transition to its assisted living option when needed. Someone in the industry recommended the Courtyard as the best facility for couples who may need different levels of care but want to live together in the same place. I thought that was a high recommendation coming from them.

McDowell Village is fresh and clean no stale air smell. The layout of the facility is great and has been enhanced over the years. The people are very helpful and friendly. The food is good and the outdoor property is lovely and attaches to the senior center. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor common areas.

The Firs appears to be a friendly community. It did not have some of the amenities such as washer and dryer inside each apartment or air conditioning in the units. I enjoyed the tour and [name removed] answered all my questions. Thank you for the opportunities to visit this community.
