Maplewood Senior Living

My father was on the independent FL, mother on the Memory FL, so this review is for both of them. Our family is forever grateful to the Maplewood staff for the caring, attentive, and compassionate roll they play in our parents lives. It's been a long journey for us and our parents, we couldn't have done this without to support of everyone at Maplewood. They've truly become an extension of our of our all ready large family. My mother chose Maplewood before her disease progressed, so thankful she did she made the right choice.

Maplewood onboarding was a great experience from the staff who welcomed my parents and family to the aides who helped us unpack and settle in. The warmth, continuity of care, and confidence among staff members has separated Maplewood from other senior living communities. Maplewood understands their clients and services them according to their needs. We have been absolutely delighted with our experience from the top down!

I have been here at Maplewood for almost a year. I can't say enough good. People always attentive, good meals, lots of activities, I am glad to be living here!

Since we moved our uncle into assisted living at Maplewood in Weston two years ago he is happier and healthier than he had been for several years prior to the move. As he likes to tell us, he now has a second family, and feels like they live in a grand hotel, not an assisted living residence. Between movies, concerts, entertainers, exercise classes, great food, bridge games, poker games, and the opportunity to spend time with his new friends, he is thriving. The residences and common areas are beautifully maintained, and the staff are first class professionals. We couldn’t be happier with the care, facilities and staff at Maplewood.

I loved the community and it was modern. My loved wanted carpet flooring.

My Mom has been at Maplewood of Weston since [date removed], starting in Assisted Living and moving to Memory care in [date removed]. II have been very happy with the care and the management of the community throughout the time. The facility is immaculate and beautiful, has very caring staff, and many wonderful services and activities. The Memory Care Unit and the Memory Care Director are the best I can imagine anywhere.!!!

They offer good activities, such as; Bingo, art classes, movies, and games. They have great friendly staff. Sometimes promises are made by one person but not carried through. It's a very nice place.

Very clean. Layout manageable for a senior to walk. Staff very friendly, remember names of residents. Always feel welcome. Open to adding activity if one is suggested which they have since mom moved in. Still need more variety of things to do and could encourage people more to try things but they are doing a good job and trying. Overall a safe, cared for community!

He was here for respite and the care was fantastic, they provided everything and it was wonderful - could not have asked for anything better. The treated us amazingly and always welcomed us with open arms and were accommodating to our needs. I did have some financial issues with them - I got a bill after my loved one had moved out. I called the gal who I worked with in the beginning and she was great to work with. They did give me a refund, but it was not as much as I expected. I would recommend the facility care-wise, just make sure you understand the contract and are fully aware of what it involves before you sign anything.

This facility was top shelf, my loved one was happy here. It's a really good place. All of the staff seem to genuinely care. The medical care given here is vastly superior to other facilities that I've seen or had experience with. They're also only 4 miles away from one of the best hospitals in the area, which is great. A couple of things that I would note for others, personal hygiene/care items are not provided by the facility and must be provided by loved ones. Also, I'd suggest utilizing the Medication Management offered by the staff. It makes things much easier and ensures that your loved one's are receiving and taking their medications. It's an additional charge, but worth it. The pricing is not all inclusive, so be mindful of monthly costs for things and what is needed. Overall, this facility really is fantastic. I would recommend it to family and friends.

Finding a safe and caring place for someone with memory issues is daunting. Maplewood is an extraordinary place!!! The facilities are beautiful and very well maintained. The team is caring, thoughtful and knowledgeable. The team also provides ongoing education and support to families. Their support is invaluable. The tour experience with Maplewood at Weston was great. The facility and staff were both very nice. We looked at a lot of places, and this facility was in my top 2 choices that we considered.

Since getting first adjusted my experience has been very good. Food is good, I have no complaints.

My mother lived at Maplewood for many years until her passing. She was loved by all and she loved everyone there. The staff was/is amazing and they treated her like she was their own mother. My mother thought they were her children and friends- which they were! When my siblings and I moved our mom to Maplewood we were looking for a well-staffed place that had healthy food and plenty of activities. It was important for us that she thought of the place as home. My mom still had the ability to communicate and enjoy herself and we needed her to feel like this was just a regular move with new neighbors. It worked! The key to making this a successful move is to move in early enough to enjoy the activities and outings while your loved one can! At Maplewood they keep the residents entertained all day and into the evening. They make friends and enjoy a full life. The food is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and so are the grounds and building. You get what you pay for!

Our parents, ages 89 and 94, moved into Maplewood at Newtown a year ago. Although it was initially an up and down journey for them to select a community, make a commitment to actually move, eventually sell their home, and navigate an independent living lifestyle -- they are now one year into their transition with absolutely no regrets. Maplewood at Newtown is a lovely facility with sincere, caring staff and plenty of activities. The staff is thoughtful and eager to accommodate their personal preferences to reflect their interests and habits. One example has been that our father was able to be a central contributor to the outdoor garden and there is now a "Green Thumb Club" which has been a lifesaver for him and also a great community-builder. They have met so many friends among both the residents and staff --and really are part of a community. There is always activity and others to be with right outside their door.
