Food, activities and socialization needs work. My dad didn't have anyone his mental level to talk too. Very lonely for him. Loving workers were great.

What we like the most about the community is the activities and cleanliness. There is no communication with management and billing. The lady that does the billing ask me what my plan was for my Mom two months after she was gone from the facility. It's a scary thought that someone like that is in charge of billing. I can only imagine of residence that don't have anyone checking on them.

The care there has been good even though they are always short staffed (as is everywhere) I would recommend

Other facilities aren't as nice as this one as far as the environment goes. I do like this facility... it is pleasant, doesn't smell bad and has a nice layout and access to outside. They are going under new ownership and hoping for improvements to staffing. I recommend paying close attention to the care as some staff are not as attentive or compassionate as others. You have to advocate for your loved one.

It is close to my mother's house, and easily accessible to family & friends. No, we would not recommend. Our mother was at the highest level of care, and we don't feel like she received that level. Her apt/room wasn't cleaned or ready for her when she first arrived. Several personal items went missing. They were reported but never replaced. We felt like if she remained there, she would have declined rapidly.

The sales Director has just started [date removed]. She quit by [date removed]. Seems to be a high turnover at this facility. Not much gets done for the residents. My mother included. She cannot hear or see and needs care.

It was a good place but my husband just doesn't want assisted living situation. I did get the impression that women were generally more satisfied than men. Food was so so. Most of staff was decent; a couple did a lot of sitting. The director was not there many times when I tried to see her, but I think there's been another change

The administration was very nice but overall they seem understaffed and have maintenance issues. I would not recommend that facility. I would sum up the experience as somewhat disappointing. Again primarily due to lack of staffing and maintenance, the owners need to invest more in staff.

Administrative staff 1 they charge her a lay fee and some type of credit card fee. When they had permission to withdraw the funds from her account but still charged. Her and never refunded the money. They? Take the money out super late in the month and then charge a late fee. She doesn't eat their food. She doesn't participate. Value for the money: kind of expensive

They did not respond to maintenance requests on a timely manner. Their meals are okay. They could improve their laundry room for the residents. The apartments need some updating. The office staff is not accessible at all times. Their emergency number for after office hours is not run well. We are disappointed by the choice we made.

Nurse and some staff are shared with Sunabella. This caused the nurse to quit. Laundry isn't done regularly and gets mixed up so my wife has been doing it instead. They are short staffed and on the 6th director in 4 years.

Office staff was really nice. The place could use an update.

Our entry at Windrush was very positive but once we got our father there; we began to have issues. I got hit with two months of late fees when the faculty did not EFT funds timely. Then there was an incident that required my father to EMS to the hospital for stitches, surgery, and a concussion where he spent two weeks while I was still being charged for the assisted living. Management was quickly changed and I am seeing definite improvements. I talked to [name removed], the new manager, and advised that I clearly see greater progress today over the past administration but would like a refund of my late fees. I will continue to monitor the progress.

They don't nickel and dime you for everything. Same price includes managing meds. Don't charge you when you join in a meal. My mother is losing clothes through the washing process. Never any assessment reports.

What we like the most about Wellington Manor is the level of care seems to be satisfactory. Staff is friendly. What they could improve on would be food and activities such as movie night and maybe occasional music. Recommendations made by our family member.

I have gotten to know some of the staff so they favor my loved one, but the administration is horrible and so is the food. And even though I complain and my loved one , the head of the facility just doesn't seem to care. I like the homeliness of the facility but I have to visit constantly to make sure it's up to my standards. And thankfully. It could be a great facility with the right staff. As my son said, nothing will change as long as the boss doesn't care then why should the staff. Elderly care is very expensive and very disappointing.

My cousin is under Hospice care. He receives additional services through them. If he were able to be mobile and engage with others, I believe his stay would be better.

Overall Ashton Manor is affordable and that is the only reason why we have not moved my mom. The downsides are lots of change in staff without notification, not regular transportation to the grocery store, etc as advertised and the food is mediocre. However, like I said the actual rooms are very nice with plenty of room and the price is affordable. The staff that re there are nice and helpful.

Most of the staff is extremely helpful and very supportive. Overall their organizational structure needs improvement as ( couldn't find your phone number) kind of things. Administrator [name removed] is very inexperienced and needs a lot of support.

They needed a new director and I think they have gotten a good one and based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend Lakeshore Manor community to other families.
