General staff were great. Administrator just wanted put in her hours and get out. Considered reporting her. Overall a wonderful facility. Staff are very attentive and friendly. If your mother or father have special needs or medical issues I would highly recommend interviewing staff and administration about their capabilities and legal rites.

Staff and facility seem okay but they lack tremendously on communication. We can never get follow phone calls back or emails. Labs take a week to a week and a half to get results. No one calls with results. Wish they had a better process for Dr visits. At the facility. We never get a report and no one communicates on the results of the visit.

Sunabella is a community that demonstrates professionalism concerning residents. They monitor residents to make sure their needs are met. They make necessary adjustments to make sure residents are safe and they do an outstanding job with administering medication. The Director is open to discussing any and all issues.

My mom lived there for a year and really enjoyed it at first. Had to move her recently to a higher care facility. The new owners replaced most of the wonderful staff one by one, and things have gone downhill since new management. VERY sad! Mom fractured her back and went from hospital to a short term rehab. Was gone 4 weeks, then I decided she needed to move and gave 30 day notice. They not only charged her for every meal she was unable to go to dining room to eat, but despite my asking, they charged her additional $[removed]. For medication management for 2 months she was not there. My email requests to get this deducted went unanswered. Before she left some items were also stolen from her room. Not major value, but things I had purchased a day before, and the next day they were gone. The med techs there are very caring and nice, but the management is out to get every dollar they can. Food was average and a few residents told me they were wanting to relocate. I do not recommend.

My loved one is currently a resident at Mill Creek Manor and the experience has been okay so far. Some of the staff are great, but there are 2 in particular that are just plain rude. As for the meals, the actual food is good. However, they've served my loved one a specific food multiple times even though she is allergic to it. I think Mill Creek Manor is a good facility, but I would recommend it only for those with a tighter budget and/or lower care needs.

My loved one was previously a resident at Carolina Gardens at Garden City in the Memory Care unit and the overall experience was okay. I have no experience with the Assisted Living side, only the Memory Care. The Assisted Living residents may feel different about this facility. However, in our experience, this facility is not adequately prepared for dementia patients. I would not recommend this facility for Memory Care.

If a friend asked about my experience with Mill Creek Manor (Independent Living), I would say that the grounds are great and the apartment is comfortable. My dad enjoys his neighbors. But he is unhappy there because he doesn't like the food or the folks who prepare it, and refuses to eat there. He is currently looking into alternatives.

High turnover and maybe half of the staff engages residents. We have locked horns with management several times, but have managed to make it work. Frequent visitation is best since there are little to no activities despite being advertised.

Tour director was friendly. They didn't have room immediately as needed. Facility left much to be desired. More impressed with electronic security system in place at other facility.

They became understaffed and all categories went down hill. Just became a place of excuses when questioned about care and up keep. Ask what their staff to patient ratio is. If they have an activity director. Look at cleanliness.

I would have to be honest and say it was not the best facility for my mother's need. Some of the staff workers there made you feel welcome and others not so much. I would get numerous calls about incidents that happened or me and relatives would have to come there to help the staff. Which was an inconvenience for the price you have to pay each month, including the community fee. Overall my mother did not feel in her mind that she was safe there. The food there was not the greatest either. It seemed to be the same thing every day/week. Overall, even though they said they handled dementia and memory care issues, you had to be at a certain level/later stage of dementia, more immobile. They were not trained to handle someone in the beginning stages, so it felt like a lot time and energy waisted since I was not properly informed from the beginning.

I'm not very happy with them. My loved one is no longer here. I saw one of the meals (dinner) that was brought to him. It was less than I would feed a toddler. It's not worth almost [amount removed] a month. I worried about him more than I should have.

Extremely high turnover in staffing - even beyond COVID standards. I think it's really a combination of things. Its a byproduct of the economy/Covid and their business model to keep the rates reasonable. It's probably the best they can do without significantly raising their monthly fees.

These are some of the improvements that could be made - - Have better and more flavorful food. Make sure tenants know what their food choices are. What happened to afternoon snacks? I thought there were drinks available all the time. - Have outings. We were told upon signing that there were outings by bus. This does not mean Walmart. - Have someone man the front desk, and the telephone for the front desk 24/7 .

The biggest thing is that people there are friendly. But the staff doesn't work well with the residents in terms of helping or encouraging them to get involved, etc. The apartment is spacious. They seem to be cleaning pretty regularly, but the cafeteria floor is always dirty. And the nurse's cart smells like urine when I walk past it.

Good community. My loved one is more independent than what they could provide.

I was not very impressed with Oaks at Habersham, the security was not good. The doors just open right up, most places you have to have a code. I knew my loved one would escape right away so I did not feel comfortable placing him here.

When we first moved mom here, it was great. It was kept clean and the staff was so friendly and caring. The care was very good. About 4 months ago, that changed. The executive director left and then other staff started to leave. I think there's only one original staff member left, a lady who works in the kitchen/dining. We weren't notified that the executive director was leaving or had left. But there was a definite change after that happened. Rooms weren't getting cleaned, activities weren't happening (the activities director also left). The outdoor area for residents is overgrown and looks like it hasn't been touched in a year. So many things. A lot of things that they advertised and promised were put to the side. It's a secured entrance/exit for the building, which is great. The problem is, when I visited I had to wait several minutes each time to be let in and out. I don't know that I'd ever seen more than 3 staff members working at a time anytime I visited over the last 4 months. They have a serious staffing issue now, in every department. We planned to move mom and even found a new place for her, unfortunately she passed before we could get her moved. After she passed, I was charged an additional month's fees. I called several times and no response. I finally went there in person and they apologized and said I would get a refund, I'm still waiting. When we first moved mom in, I would have recommended them. But now, I would not.

We toured with Grand Villa of Lakeland and I had an issue with the lead person who was giving us the tour. She totally blew me off until I said something and then she started talking to me after that. I was not very impressed.

They need to be more educated on how to deal with those who have memory care issues. You have to follow up in the evenings when there is no one watching how the residents are being cared for. I would tell others to be prepared to visit often if you have your loved one here. Overall due to our experience I would not recommend Grace Manor to those looking for memory care for their loved ones.
