We chose American House Lutz because they had a memory care unit for my mom and some others we looked into did not offer that. They do have private and shared rooms. The staff were very informative, friendly, and made it an easy decision for us. I would recommend to others looking.

We chose Sunabella because they were accommodating and really bent over backwards for us. The common areas are very clean, but I do think that the residents rooms themselves could be cleaned more. From what I have heard, it sounds like they could improve on the quality of the foods and variety. The administrative staff is extremely easy to work with and have been very helpful. I can always contact [name removed] and she responds back quickly. Overall I would recommend to others who are looking.

This was a nice community, just too expensive for us.

The staff cares for the residents well. This feels more like family. They even know the residents and visitors by name. The staff are quick to respond to any questions or concerns you may have about your loved one.

Happy with all at grand villa

The price was decent. The location was good. The food was good for my loved one. This is a good place for assisted living and I would recommend if your loved one needs this type of care.

It is a nice community, with a lot of people that are the same age as my loved one. There is a variety of food choices and a chef on staff. Some of the activities offered include arts and crafts, games, and more for the residents to choose from.

I would highly recommend it. The upkeep is nice. When you move in, everything is covered. It sounds like a lot of money, but you don't have to pay for cable, meals, housekeeping, transportation to go appointments or the mall . I love the place. When I get to that point, that's the place that I want to go. I don't see many activities going on, but that's likely due to Covid. But they have a library and a movie room with movies playing every night, which I love.

I am pretty satisfied here so far, the staff members have been very caring and make me feel comfortable. For the value for cost I think it is worth it for all the amenities and services they have to offer.

All of the staff were very friendly and professional; they were engaged with residents for an activity and the residents seemed to be right at home - happy and comfortable. All of the staff were engaging in conversation with me. I visit many places and Atria Columbia's staff care about their residents and their profession. I also enjoyed visiting with the residents as I was leaving - enjoying their stories and time spent with them.

Our family had an in person tour and on the tour to us the community looked very compacted. Also, the ramp in the back at the time was not working which concerned us for those who may have trouble walking or have walkers.

If your family member has dementia, you probably need to go ahead and go to a facility that's designed for dementia care. My only concern here was they indicated they could care for our loved one with dementia. But once she moved in, she kept "eloping," and they told us we needed to move her. So I feel like they misrepresented their abilities. But the rest of the care they provided was good. My loved one enjoyed the food there. We were happy with everything except for their ability to keep our loved one with dementia safely there.

We toured with Savannah Court and it was a very nice facility with helpful staff members. They answered all of our questions.

I chose Grace Manor for several reasons. I liked the staff, and the location works extremely well for our family to visit frequently. I thought it was an attractive and appealing facility. And everybody I encountered was very sweet, pleasant and helpful. My loved one has fallen a couple of times since he's been there, which is one of the reasons we needed care for him. They let me know very quickly and called an ambulance as needed. They seem to keep things well-maintained and clean. They have a smaller number of residents, which is an asset. And they seem to try to keep everybody engaged and doing something. Activities are mostly in the mornings , so I haven't been able to observe, but I've been there for a little party they had one time, which was lovely. I would recommend it at Grace Manor. The facility is lovely, and everyone has been very pleasant. My loved one isn't always cooperative when it comes to dressing and grooming, so I can't fault them for any struggles they might have with that aspect, as I struggled with that as well. All in all, it's been a great place.

Mom moved into the Life Guidance (Memory Care) unit of Atria in July. She has had dementia for a while and it was getting to the point where she could no longer properly care for herself. She did not want to leave her house at all, so the family delayed the move for as long as possible. We dreaded her reaction and were apprehensive about how well she could adjust to a group setting after a decade of living alone and enjoying her independence. We chose Atria because of its smaller size and more traditional feel, as compared to more modern facilities. To our surprise and relief, she is adapting better and faster than we anticipated. The staff has been good. The director and the nurse have been communicating with me as needed (quite often in the first couple of weeks). The initial paperwork and Mom's transition have gone smoothly, but the actual moving-in was a bit disorganized (I suggest better coordination and communication between staff and family). Otherwise, a good experience so far.

We chose Grand Villa of Lakeland because our visit here was very impressive and the staff were just so helpful and friendly. The room sizes at the facility are quite large. In our case, the fact that it was smaller facility was great for our loved one. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

We chose Brookdale Sumter because of the enthusiasm from their staff. They really sold the place to me and were just great. The room sizes are the best ones I have seen, they are spacious. The facility itself is in an easy location. We are having some problems with the financing side of it, but they are taking great care of my father here and that is priceless. I would recommend to others.

Our family had a virtual experience and Atria was up in our top two choices. The staff was really nice and knowledgeable, but we were just not really sold on the building itself. The accommodating were just not as feasible as the other community we were looking at, and the bathrooms here just had a chair in the shower, when the other community had a bench built into the wall that we liked better.

Our family had a virtual tour and the community was extremely cautious because it was during the height of the pandemic which is why it was virtual. We can appreciate a community that wants to keep their residents safe. We felt the rooms were nice, and the kitchen had a good preparation space, but the kitchen was smaller and did not have all the appliances.
