The ppl who work at AH are kind and helpful. Matthew and Alicia are wonderful. My dad tells us that the food is so good. The facility doesn't smell bad and always seems very clean. We are thankful to have our loved one safe and happy at AH.

The staff are excellent at communicating. They find a way to address any concerns that the family may have. The housekeeping is good, move-in process was quite easy and my mother, who is very fussy about food, really likes the food. I would recommend this facility. It's a good value.

People were really good to mama ..Clean with lots to do. Just didnt like paying for services not provided. Mama had a broken arm. So help would have been good.

The facility is clean and inviting. I would live there if I needed to. I love all the staff members who I have had dealing with for my mom's care especially Dee. Angie is always so happy and helpful on the weekends. [name removed] did an excellent job when I was looking for a safe new home for my mom. Mom's move in was less than ideal but things seem to have settled down. Now if the facility can improve the taste of the food and use spices to help I think the residents would be much happier. They may be elderly but they still have taste buds.

My loved one was a resident at Mars Hill Manor. We loved the staff. They were very friendly and were great about taking my Mom to meals and tried to get her to go to activities. We wished we had moved her when she was more motivated to do things or make friends. They were great with communication. I could call and leave messages and could even text the director. They were quick to get my Mom started with the local physician for any minor needs or for monitoring her medications. Housekeeping was good. They kept her bed linens and towels clean and her room was always clean. They were more of a country cooking kind of place meals. And while my Mom had been around country cooking all her life, she did not like gravy so that was the only think I ever heard her complain about. But when we talked to them, they made sure she didn't get gravy on anything. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them.

Staff seemed willing and friendly. There were many activities. There were too many sandwiches served for inactive people. Overall I think they did a good job and I would recommend them to others.

I liked it much better after visiting another place. I've already given info and a couple recently moved in on my reference. I love it here.

Our experience has been generally good. I wish they made more effort to get residents involved with other residents and the activities.We chose the Oaks for cost, location, and first impression of the staff.

Look around. Don't make a quick decision. We picked this community because of the location. It's about halfway between two important relatives.

The place is very clean.The staff at Grand Villa is great. Also, the food is very good.

The staff has been wonderful. The move in process was a very easy process. My only suggestion would be to have more activities and things for the residents to do everyday. I would recommend American House Jackson for Memory Care, since that is the only part that we have experienced.

Chapman Manor is a great place, i love it. Dad well cared for. Not sure about the activities. Rated a 3 just because I'm not really sure what memory care does or can do but everyone is great! NO complaints

What our family likes the most about the community is the friendliness of the staff as well as the food that is prepared. My only complaint currently is they need to hire someone for maintenance issues. However we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

This is a small lovingly run assisted living community. The amenities are limited but since my mother is vision impaired and has mobility problems, that was not important. Proximity to my home, cost and a wonderful welcoming feeling on walking through the door. No one we met seemed unhappy to be there.

I would add that the caregiver/family should stay in good communication with the facility and stop in frequently. Picked for the price and cleanliness of the facility. Most staff we saw vs others. Still being updated. Patients seem happy and well cared for

I am currently a resident at Ashton Manor at Sugarloaf and everything has been very good for me here at this facility so far. The staff is great. The cleanliness and friendliness are very good. The food portions could be larger. Also, the vegetables are over cooked for me. Overall, I like it here. I would recommend Ashton Manor at Sugarloaf to others.

Very clean, attentive caregivers, food is very appealing with choices, rooms are nice and furnished. We picked the community because of the above features as well as the cost, which is 2 to 3k less than other Memory Care Centers.

The staff is friendly and the housekeeping is good and responsive. The move in process was excellent. My mother is generally displeased with the food. It is bland, overcooked and cheap. They probably need to invigorate the process by having featured meals. For example, Friday fish day, chicken Sunday, etc. Either way, they need to have condiments available for people who are not on a restricted diet and who would appreciate some savory food. Despite the food, I highly recommend Brookdale Columbia to others!

They have a new Executive Director who is making positive changes with all aspects of care and the facility. The staff are friendly, but only a few are proactive and genuinely show care for the patients. It's probably normal in this setting. Housekeeping is generally good, Mom's room isn't dusted regularly, or surfaces cleaned regularly like the sink in the bathroom, but the floor is vacuumed, trash emptied, and toilet cleaned daily. The common areas are generally clean. There isn't a smell and there is new carpet. As for communication, it is very hard to get through on the phone. It almost always goes to voice mail. The move in process was good. They helped with the physical moving of furniture and were accommodating with her preference to what she kept of her own or used that they had. There is no real cooking, just heating of frozen or prepackaged foods. They will make something different if the person doesn't want what's served. They have sandwiches that are made with chicken salad, etc. They look pretty good. There is a good variety of food and fresh elements. They serve seconds if the person wants it. One suggestion for improvement: providing a happier atmosphere during meals would be nice...like music in the background. Amenities include having a hair stylist, planned outings, visiting entertainment, movie night, plants on the patio out back and a raised gardening area for the residents. If Mom were dependent upon staff for more personal care, I would not be happy with her there. I would recommend Sanford Senior Living and Manor for people who are mobile and able to make their needs known. I feel that mom is safe there, she's happy and theft hasn't been a problem. It might not fit everyone's needs, but it fits my mom's needs.

A PLACE FOR MOM was extremely friendly and helpful. Could not have found a place for mom without their help. I would recommend to others. We picked this community because of the cost, and it was friendly.
