I moved my mom into this community a few months ago. It really was a struggle for me. I had started to become her caregiver. I was ending up going to her home every day helping with her medicines, cooking, cleaning... I thought I was retired!!! Through some friends we heard about Savannah Court of Maitland and booked a tour. I wasn't sure how to go about all this with my mom. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. They walked me through the process. I was most surprised how happy all the residents were. I met several and that brought me peace of mind. I even met another family member who raved about the place. It was just a more active friendly feeling community than the five others I've visited. Also the longevity of the staff impressed me, almost everyone has been there for years! Long story short my mom's life has changed. She has made friends, she is happy, and I have peace of mind she is taken care of. As they told me, I get to be the daughter again. And that was so right. Believe me, this IS THE PLACE for your loved one. Just go see for yourself.

In 2012, sadly, my husband passed. I then had to take care of the home by myself (boy, did I miss his cooking). However, when it came time to start replacing parts of the house (the AC, the roof, etc.), I decided my life had to change. In 2015 my cousin and I started our research on Assisted Living Facilities; we researched everything in the Orlando area, and realized we needed to narrow our results to 3. Meantime, I became ill and the move became more necessary so I relied on my cousin to visit the communities. When she visited Savannah Court of Maitland she was impressed by the facility and the friendliness of not only the staff, but the residents. Also one of my criteria was to find a place in which I could remain for the rest of my life. My peace of mind was satisfied by the fact that Savannah Cove Skilled Nursing and Rehab was in the same building. The decision was made! Even my first day at Savannah Court was a pleasure as I was called by first name immediately leading to my feeling of being a member of a new family. No more cooking, doing dishes, washing clothes, cleaning up; just living life and having fun - activities, entertainment, transportation, shopping, and refreshments galore. My new family and home are now the best decision of my life. I should have done it sooner!

Our mom & dad moved here together 5 months ago a few months after dad's stroke & nursing home stay. They are the happiest and least stressed we have seen them in years. The staff is loving, happy and gentle in word and deeds. The staff seem well trained in memory care and use appropriate techniques like re-direction and engagement in activities when a resident is confused or wants to go "home". We are enjoying visiting and spending quality time together with our parents, instead of worrying about them driving a car or wandering off or taking several days worth of pills at once. Our parents talk about all their friends who live there with them, how clean the building is, how wonderful the meals are, how much they enjoy the 3 outdoor gardens & courtyards, and how much fun they have. We appreciate how the staff knows each resident's background and interests so they can interact in a meaningful and warm way.

After searching long and hard between Tampa and Spring Hill, FL, my aunt chose Horizon Bay - Lutz for the next phase of her life. Giving up her house was a difficult decision, but she has not regretted moving to Horizon Bay - Lutz for even one day. She liked it immediately as we drove into the parking lot! The facility has a lovely "rural" setting and the fact that it is only a two-story building made her more feel at ease. The staff members were kind and efficient and current residents were so welcoming that they made her feel at home from day one. She really enjoys the activities and dining facilities. Bless everyone at Horizon Bay - Lutz! And thank you all!!

Brookdale has a professional and caring staff. They are highly attentive to the needs of my mother. If she misses a meal, they bring her a snack to ensure she has something to eat. If she has a fainting spell, they are quickly at her side to provide immediate care. They are most respectful of individual needs of each person in their community. They have asked my mother to help with other community members become acclimated; she is more comfortable helping others. My brother and I are most impressed with Brookdale Newport and feel very fortunate to have our mother in their care.

Very friendly seemed to pay attention to quite a few issues such as not having locked doors so residents don t feel trapped. Very concerned with helping us with our decision. Food looks great (although we might enjoy that more than Mom will)

Congratulations to Faye, executive director or Atria Senior Living in Columbia, SC, for running such a successful assisted living home. She has assembled a wonderful, caring staff. The meals at Atria are gourmet, and residents' guests are welcome. There are fresh flowers everywhere. The receptionist welcomes you by name, staff members keep you informed, and parties are held monthly for residents and their families. There isn't a day that goes by that there isn't some special activity or program. The apartments are kept clean and you never have to remind anyone that laundry needs to be done. The young woman I am guardian for has blossomed in this atmosphere. I am most grateful to all who have helped her be so content.

We moved my mother here after trying to care for her in our own home. We are extremely pleased with the professional and caring services that Elmcroft provides for their residents and their families. My mother is a diabetic and she enjoys 3 healthy and delicious meals every day. She is also provided with snacks throughout the day. The caregivers and nurses nurture and care for each resident based on their needs. The management staff communicates monthly (sometimes weekly) with family members to assure that their loved one is being cared for appropriately. I would recommend Elmcroft of Halls to anyone struggling with a decision for the care of their loved one. We are blessed to have a place like Elmcroft so close to our home.

Our experience with Savannah Court has been a very good one, overall! The facility is clean and well kept (although occasionally there will be odors), and the staff all seem very attentive and caring. I like that they'll check on residents if they don't make it down for a meal. The dining service itself does a good job, as well! The food is good, and they're very flexible with the menu. Mom really seems to have settled in well, and the other residents have been very friendly and welcoming!

The Atria employees are awesome! We immediately felt at home because they were all so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend Atria Mableton for anyone who wants the peace of mind that comes with knowing your loved one is in a clean, friendly, and nurturing environment.

Our experience with Brookdale Sumter has been a very positive one, overall. It's a nice looking place, the staff has been forthcoming and professional, and they've met all of our expectations in regards to the care they provide. We're confident that our loved one is in a place where he'll be well taken care of!

My parents have only been here a short time, but so far our experience has been a positive one. It's a nice looking place, and the staff seems friendly and professional.

I was very impressed with the Brookdale at Brushy Creek. It was clean, friendly and a home relaxing atmosphere. I appreciated all they had to offer, the fellow Andy did a great job in presenting what the had to offer! Very disappointed that I couldn't put my husband there, and that was due to the fact he needed skilled nursing. I'm glad there is the Brookdale Greenville, as that is where he was admitted to on 1-15-16! So far all seems to be well and I feel comfortable with it!

My mother currently lives at Grace Manor Suites. She loves it there and the staff are great!! There are always activities to keep her busy including exercising. They offer 2 meal choices at each meal along with a couple a la cart items she can choose from. They have a hairstylist there twice weekly for the residents to use and a house Doctor that comes twice a week. The place is beautifully decorated and kept very clean! Highly recommend if you are looking for an ALF for your parent.

Our experience with Brookdale Florence has been a very good one, overall! The facility is clean and well maintained, and they do a great job with the food! The staff is friendly and caring, and they do a great job looking out for the people who live here.

When I visited, everyone was happy and helpful. The residents were engaged with the workers and among themselves. Their calendar was packed with parties and classes and it felt like home. I hope I can get my family moved in soon!

Savannah Court and Cottage of Oviedo has proven a perfect fit for my mother-in-law's needs. A series of strokes left her unable to live on her own, but still well enough to not require skilled nursing. The staff at Savannah Court provide her with conscientious daily care for her personal needs and take the time to engage her in activities with the other residents and guest presenters. The rooms are clean and welcoming, and the care providers are friendly and gentle.

Emeritus at Laurel Gardens is in the remodel. The friendliness of the staff is a 10. Not long after my mother got there everyone was calling her by name. It was very impressive. No matter where I went in the facility, they all knew her by name. They have activities geared for the memory care residents, which I really appreciate. I felt like we got a lot of attention here. I am really pleased overall with this facility.

We just moved Mom and Dad to Horizon. The move has been very positive. The staff have gone out of there way to be welcoming. The facilities are beautiful and the food service is delicious.
