I love living at Parkwood! I have enjoyed meeting people and staying social. The staff is very nice, they work very hard. I would say we all get along very well. Everything is kept up very nice around the outside and also inside.

The Danberry is a wonderful facility. My folks moved into independent living several years ago. My Dad subsequently moved into memory care and Mom is still in independent living. The staff are caring and kind. The facility is immaculate inside and out. Leadership is excellent and have done a tremendous job keeping us informed during Covid. Service is top notch. So fortunate to have the Danberry.

Leaving your home and moving to a new city is a very stressful time (especially at 82). The staff at Danberry made this transition wonderful for my mother. She has lived at Danberry almost 4 years and her only regret is that she didn’t move sooner!

I can truly say GVS has the most amazing staff who have been a blessing to me and my family. [name removed] is a kind person who never ceased to reached out to me on any needs for my Dad, always answered any calls and emails. [name removed] puts her heart into everything she does. [name removed] has been an amazing advisor to me as well as truly caring about my Dad, trying to help in anyway possible to make sure his needs were/are met. Due to insurance issues, my Dad was discharged yesterday. [name removed] called me today to see how he’s doing, see if she could help in any way. So above and beyond! [name removed], Business Office, referred me to an Elder Law Lawyer to assure I was making as well-educated decisions for my parents as possible. The direct care staff each made my Dad feel they cared about him. During these crazy times, please know the staff you have are impacting lives. Including ours!

I'm very happy here at Clarendale. Everyone is so friendly and always willing to help. I looked at other places but this one was the best fit for what I was looking for. I highly recommend this place.

I have visited the community many times over the years and words cannot explain the warm and fuzzy feeling I’ve experienced during my visits. The staff and residents both are very welcoming and friendly, you can tell that everyone is truly happy! From my experiences, their customer service has always been first class! The residents have beautiful outdoor courtyards with waterfalls and a walking trail for those who enjoy the outdoors. It’s truly a beautiful community with a lot of amenities for residents to enjoy including a fitness studio and a heated saltwater pool! I highly recommend Danberry for anyone considering a move!

The community is great. My loved ones have recently moved over to the assisted living from the retirement section of Parkwood Retirement. The property backs to a wooded area in the back.

Director of Memory Care [name removed] is awesome! All other employees I have interacted with have been wonderful. My dad loves it here and likes the staff very much.

I was so impressed with this community. From the moment I walked through the front door, I knew my mother would love to call this home. Every employee I came in contact with was cheerful and polite. The common space is full of light and bright. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed. This community is first class!

My 87 year old mother has been a resident of Danberry's Independent Living section for 5 years. My only deduction in rating is because the carpet in her entry way has become stained from use and resists cleaning efforts. The community of friends with whom she eats and interacts has been one of the most significant benefits since moving from her home where she was alone. She especially enjoys eating with them in the dining room and joining them for group exercise classes. On-site worship services and special programs are also significant for her spiritual and emotional health. During the last two years Danberry has allowed our family to join Mom in singing Christmas carols in the main common area and on her hallway. As mom's memory has deteriorated, the staff has worked to help her- and my siblings- in many ways. They know her by name, and are alert to make sure that she is not having any difficulties when she is outside of her apartment. The team in resident services have walked with us through her fluctuating, increasing need for aides/companions. Mom has a favorite who is with her for several hours each day. She cooks meals, washes clothes and helps in many other ways. She loves Mom as if she was a grandmother. She is a trusted friend for not just Mom, but also our family. The aides help us to know if there are problems or needs we need to address. The transportation services staff have been pleasant, accommodating and reliable in getting Mom to medical appointments, whether in the local area or downtown at UAB. [name removed] (not her real name) has been indispensable as we have contemplated the next step in Mom's care. She kindly gave my siblings and me a tour of the Assisted Living and Memory Care units, explaining all of the details and considerations. She has communicated well whenever rooms come available to see if we are ready to make a transition from Mom's current living arrangement. We all understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed everything. As a physician I have been pleased to see how carefully and considerately Danberry has acted to protect their residents and staff, while still allowing important face-to-face interactions for families. Our family had reservations when we encouraged Mom to move to Danberry several years ago. In retrospect it was the correct decision, and one which has improved Mom's life- and therefore ours- and has been made easier by the love and care provided by the Danberry team.

We chose First & Main of Commerce because of the price, everybody I met if they said they would do something, it was done. it was also very clean and they provide a lot of activities once COVID restrictions are lifted. Her room size is perfect for her needs right now. The best part about the community is how friendly everyone is to her. I would recommend community.

Our first impression of this community was great, we really enjoyed how friendly the staff members were and the quality of the apartments, as well as the capability that the whole complex offered. The apartments are spacious, set up in a nice way, and every time someone new moved in they would update the apartment with fresh paint and any other updates it needs. Due to COVID they have limited the activities, but beforehand they had swimming, yoga, dancing, and even had small get togethers

We have extensive knowledge of Greenwood Village South - three of our family members reside there and we visit at a minimum weekly. What sets GVS apart? In a word, community. From move-in, to day-to-day activities, to working through the stress of COVID, to supporting family members, the staff and residents work together as community team to achieve success. The communication flow is open and honest, and staff consistently go the "extra mile" to keep residents healthy, engaged, and happy. While GVS certainly is aesthetically pleasing, the most important consideration in selection ought to be the people. In our opinion, the wonderful residents and outstanding, caring staff are top of class.

We are not yet residents but have had all pleasant and helpful experiences with [name removed] helping us come on board. We are looking forward to joining the community.

The staff has been so friendly and kind. It didn't take me long to get settled in here! I'm glad I made the move. I feel safe at Clarendale!

Moving to clarendale helped me meet so many new friends. I'm more busy now than ever before!

My mother has lived at Richmond Place for eight years and has lived in all three main buildings. She has been very happy at this facility and our family can relax knowing she is in good hands. She is now in the dementia building, which is very warm and home-like (no hospital atmosphere here). The care associates are very kind and attentive and the activities people are fantastic. I was very concerned about how my mother would react to the COVID shutdown because I visited her nearly every day. The activities people have kept them busy and having fun and the care associates have been very instrumental in reassuring them and keeping them comfortable. The DON and nurses are very competent and available and kind as well. I highly recommend Richmond Place if you or a family member are looking for a community that can meet the needs of the active and independent as well as those requiring more care.

During this time of covid when I could not enter the facility it was very helpful to have such a caring staff. My mother was there for physical therapy. The therapist listen to my concerns and worked together for a positive outcome. My case manager, [name removed] always responded quickly. (even on her day off) . I am very grateful.

To the Owner’s and Senior Management Staff of The Delaney at South Shore. I moved my mother into The Delaney at South Shore the first of September. Mom and I were received by [name removed], Executive Director and [name removed] Community Relations Counselor with the utmost Professional Leadership for The Delaney @ South Shore. Our experience was meet with the most friendly, courteous and helping staff. I rate the Delaney @ South Shore a 5 Star operation all the way around. [names removed] are the reasons The Delaney @South Shore plus the wonderful staff are the Reasons I will always recommend to friends and family to live @ Delaney South Shore. What a Great Experience and Relief for myself and family that our mother is in safe hands while we are away. Great job and I commend the entire management team and staff.
