I have had clients in more than 15 different facilities and communities and not a single one of them even come close to Greenwood Village South. The staff is amazing and the administration's communication with residents, families and employees is admirable. I love going there!

Lovely, everything one could wish for

We chose this community as the place to move my Mom in a few months. She lives in another state and can’t come visit so they have sent her videos to show her the apartments and included her in a Christmas party. We’re excited to get her here closer to us this spring. We know she’s going to love it.

They have a musical program, art, games, and a garden center are just some of the activities available for the residents to choose from. My loved one has been in this community for a while and they haven't cooked one night since their first night. Even with a kitchen in their room. You have to buy your apartment, and then there is a monthly fee for all the amenities.

It a great place, it fairly new, and the staff has worked hard to keep the residents engaged and happy. They are very protective and patient with the residence. Their Covid has been amazing and they are great at communicating. I would recommend the facility to others.

After a poor experience in their first independent living community, my in-laws were on the hunt for their “forever home”. After scouring the Western Suburbs for that perfect fit, they landed at Clarendale of Addison. From the moment we walked into this facility we were warmly greeted and met with nothing but patience when asking a variety of questions about life at Clarendale. We signed on the dotted line the next day and planned for an early April 2020 move in. And then, COVID. Transparently, we were panicked. We had already given 60 day move out notice at their current residence, signed a lease with Clarendale and put a deposit down with a moving company. Sensing our worry, Clarendale stepped in and assured us they would be flexible with move in date and, when move in day arrived, they had an organized and, most importantly, SAFE procedure to get my in-laws settled. Since their arrival, Clarendale has been nothing but accommodating - providing breakfast free of charge when under stay at home orders, delivering both lunch and dinner to residents, having a weekly activity in which staff go door to door with a nacho bar, happy hour, sundae bar, hawaiian themed treats, etc, opening the gym for resident use with safety protocols in place...the list goes on and on. The food is INCREDIBLE with a rotating menu of specials and variety of options to choose from; there was an entire week that my mother-in-law lamented over Facetime to us about having to choose between steak and lobster (she couldn’t get both because “the portions are too big”). They have also been incredibly communicative with resident’s families from sharing weekly updates to having an open line of communication with Clarendale’s Executive Director, [name removed]. Their handling of the pandemic has been extraordinary considering the circumstances; always communicating developments and changes quickly to residents, and being proactive in imposing safety measures, including free weekly testing for all residents. [name removed] has one of the most challenging careers and she is ALWAYS professional in her approach while also empathetic to the unique needs of each family. We appreciate her efforts as well as the efforts of the Clarendale staff. Suffice it to say, my in-laws have found their “forever home”. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, Clarendale of Addison.

This is absolutely a lovely place for your parents to call home. When it comes to the rooms they are the best that we have seen. The layout of the rooms are large, roomy and well accommodating for those even in wheel chairs. The food is excellent and well balanced, they also are accommodating to each guest. Danberry is absolutely fantastic.

I spent two weeks at Clarendale of Algonquin in the Assisted Living level of care. I am completely satisfied with the care received and would recommend Clarendale of Algonquin as my first and only choice without hesitation.

What makes Parkwood Retirement Community unique from others is its architectural design of the 3 buildings with large courtyards and gazebos in the middle of each. You are offered choices of the apt you need with a lovely patio and view of lots of trees and songbirds. I have lived here almost 2 years and I know I made the right decision to call it home!

We moved my mom to Clarendale of Addison because she was very unhappy at her previous facility. She was actually the first one here in memory care unit. The room sizes here are very spacious, she could easily have a king bed in her room. I have eaten here once and the food was surprisingly good. Overall, I would recommend as long as you can afford it.

Parkwood Retirement is an excellent place to live. I enjoy my nice apartment. The entire staff is excellent and helpful in all things needed. The food is well prepared and served. Entertainment is always enjoyed. The friendship in The Parkwood community is great and a very good place to make new friends.

The staff members at Danberry community are very friendly, supportive and helpful. They offer ample amounts of activities for the residents to participate in, and the rooms at this community are above adequate in size.

Moved my mom moved into Clarendale of Addsion a couple of months ago. The building is beautiful, clean and brand new. The staff is attentive, friendly, and comforting to both residents and family.

I have had two family members live at Greenwood Village South in the Manor. They have been extremely well cared for. The staff has gone out of their way to not only provide loving care for my mother and my aunt but also are excellent in communication, coordination of resources and transparency. They have made incredible things happen for my family and I couldn’t be more thankful. If you are in search of a place where your family members in need of care can feel like home the Manor is the place. The staff in this building have consistently gone above and beyond to provide the best care.

I would talk very highly of this community to anyone that asked. My dad loved this community. I was able to have dinner with my dad three times a week. Everyone that we dealt with was amazing. The food was delicious. They have a formal dining room that included menu items salmon and steak along with other items. The other dining room was located by the pool and it was more casual. This was all pre COVID.

I have family members living at GVS. I am grateful for the leadership there during these unprecedented times. The staff is amazing. Their compassion and commitment is commendable. Thank you for all this team is doing.

We had a deposit at 3 local retirement communities before choosing Amavida. It's like living in a resort. Tennis, pickleball, golf putting. Balcony and pool. The Landscaping is exceptional. Location excellent, backs up to Lake Park with access. Close to Lee City Health hospitals and physicians, near RSW Airport. Staff is very attentive. Month-to-month rental, no buying charges.

Making a decision to consider a CCR a 'forever home' is fraught with diverse considerations. Among them are: will we be happy there?; is it too early in our lives?; will we make new friends?; is it cost effective?; will the food and services measure up?; will there be satisfying volunteer, recreational and social opportunities/; will there be a sense of community? And, at the present time, will Covid responses be appropriate to provide a safe environment? To address these questions, we visited five CCRC campuses - two in Florida and three in New England. We kept coming back to the culture of Stoneridge, as well as the quality and warmth of the staff. Ultimately, we spent four days at Stoneridge to personally experience the community. Those days made a lasting impression. The result has been our happy transition to our Stoneridge apartment, where we have found positive answers to all of our questions. We couldn't be more satisfied with our new invigorating, yet comfortable life.

We have only been able to visit this community a couple times because of COVID, but everything seems to be good. This is a very high level memory care facility and the staff members have been fantastic with relaying information.
