My husband and I decided to move into an independent cottage at Greenwood Village South when we were 66 years old. We wanted the assurance of Lifetime Care, and Greenwood Village South was the right place for us. We have lived here for 6 years and can sincerely say that Greenwood Village South has enhanced our lives. We have opportunities for involvement in many activities - our favorites being the health center, walking, riding our tricycle and bicycle, happy hour, the library, billiards, and serving as chairmen for the Employee Appreciation Committee. Our employees are phenomenal. During COVID they have worked sacrificially to ensure our safety. Even though we live in an independent cottage, we have the option to dine in the Arms Orchard Dining Room for a value price. We love to eat there when it is filet or lobster night! We love the feeling of "family" in our community. When weather allows, cottage resident often gather for outdoor happy hour! GVS is our home!!

I moved into Clarendale of Addison a few months ago. The food is impressive, the people are impressive. I was nervous that there weren't going to be other Gentlemen I fit in with, but I have already made a group of male friends here. I like it so much that I also referred another one of my family members to move here. She just arrived so now we live down the hall from each other.

I was so impressed with the nurses and caregivers when I took a fall. They were calm and took exceptional care of me all while taking charge during a scary time for me. I felt so loved and I am blessed to be in such an exceptional community I call home!

Six Years after first learning of StoneRidge, and following many visits, my husband and I made the decision to move in for it satisfied our two top priorities: #1, either of us would stay on when left the sole spouse and #2, proximity to salt water with attractive communities nearby. StoneRidge met our criteria and after three years together, I am the one to live on, continuing to be happy here. When my husband’s last days were spent in the hospital my decision was to forgo evening dinner out with a family member but instead return home to StoneRidge to rejoin the comforting environment here for a few hours. The warmth and friendliness of the community, the convenience, the camaraderie continue despite the inconveniences of Covid.

I have lived in my cottage for 2 1/2 years and love it. My home has plenty of storage space and I really love the sun porch. Activities include a great wellness center and wonderful library. Many of us ride bicycles and tricycles so the administration created a place on campus to store bikes over winter. They saw a "new need" and responded to it. When the pandemic arrived the administration responded immediately. They keep themselves educated about what needs to be done and provide guidelines for us to live by to protect ourselves. They established a little grocery for us to buy "basics" to avoid many trips to a large grocery. Instead of holding the dinner for people whose birthday is that month they now bring dinner to our homes, even coming back for the dirty dishes! I can't thank the staff enough for helping me through this pandemic. They have gone out of their way to show kindness, understanding, and leadership. Moving here was the right decision for me.

This property seems ideally suited. I was very impressed with the staff, amenities, and overall feel. I'm waiting for further information.

My mother has been a resident at GVS for the past 8 years. She and all members of our extended family have been thrilled with the wonderful food, high-functioning and complete wellness center, activity opportunities, and all the many kind, dedicated employees. I've been tremendously gratified to see that the GVS administration is so proactive in keeping residents safe during Covid-19. Many new procedures have been implemented with regard to personal delivery of all meals, home health aide availability, and other safety precautions. A full-time IT employee even helped my mom set up zoom, so that she and I are able to see each other every day remotely. There is an excellent medical clinic on mom's floor that helps with her medication adherence; there's also a terrific physical therapy center on the GVS campus that has helped with various physical issues. The list goes on. . . . I am so grateful that GVS exists, is so well-run, and has so many high-quality and motivated employees.!

The residents made us feel so welcome in our new home. To us it’s all about the StoneRidge family. That’s what makes all the difference. We did not have an overwhelming need to come to StoneRidge at the time but rather could see that it fit well with our changing life style. We love to travel and what better “home base” than StoneRidge. Our large home was becoming more of a burden to care for and we knew that in a few years it would be even more difficult. [name removed] provided the incentive for us to transition to StoneRidge rather than wait. So we did…right at Christmas week of 2019. We had almost three months of the great StoneRidge experience with all its amenities before the dreaded pandemic came to Mystic. Executive Director [name removed] and her talented staff quickly initiated a plan to keep us safe and healthy. We are happy to be in our new home with lots of new friends. Soon we hope to start our travels again.

You sold me on your follow up call when we backed out. You are professional at what you do. Thank is for sure. Many thanks.

My mother lived at Clarendale of Mokena for 4.5 years. We could not be any happier with the care she received. Thank you to the manager and staff! She loved living at Clarendale of Mokena.

I am very appreciative of the excellent care that my Mother-In-Law receives at Greenwood Village South. We moved her from another local assisted living facility to GVS more than two years ago and the difference in quality is immeasurable. From the conscientious staff to the vastly superior meal quality, GVS has much to be proud of. The staff is not only welcoming and supportive, they are results oriented and actually get things done. In all of our interactions with them, up to the most senior managers, they have been courteous, professional, and responsive. This responsiveness provides tremendous peace of mind to our family, especially in this time of continued social distancing. For that we are grateful and I can not recommend Greenwood Village South more highly.

Lovely community with loving staff! So safe and caring. Well managed and great food. There aren’t enough words to describe what a fantastic place this is. Everything you need in one place. Definitely worth the time to visit.

My apartment is perfect. I am very pleased. The outside surroundings are almost perfect. Shade, trees, walkways, grass, flowers, squirrels, birds, pets, they treat us all as if we are family.

One of the things I'm very thankful for this holiday season is having a safe and happy place to live. Thank you for all you do to keep us safe!

Due to COVID we have not been able to meet any staff members in person, but over the phone they have been very good and very helpful. We do know the meals are good, because our loved one brags about them.

Clarendale has many attributes including the staff, building, and location. The surrounding community of Bellevue offers convenience to store, restaurants, a grocery, and a pharmacy. During the multiple visits, the building was bright and clean due to the friendly and caring housekeeping staff. The nursing staff on the assisted living unit was kind, caring, and thorough. From my initial contact, I found the Director of Sales & Marketing to be personal, caring, and knowledgeable. Her strengths included her communication and follow-through.

As a long-time Greenwood resident and being active in the community, I have been aware of the stellar reputation of GVS through community contacts and friends that have been served in some capacity by Greenwood Village South. However, it was not until recently that I began to truly realize the depth of the caring, compassion, and dedication of the staff and administration at GVS, all of which has become even more evident during the recent pandemic crisis when the safety, comfort and care of all GVS residents has remained as the paramount concern and goal at GVS. Although GVS continues to gain national awards for its excellence in serving its residents, it is evident that the primary goal of GVS is to provide the utmost in care, comfort and quality of life for its residents. I am proud to be associated with Greenwood Village South, even in a small way, and I would invite you to become better acquainted with GVS for any senior living needs you or your family might have.
