My mother has been at Pomperaug Woods for several years. She began her life there in the independent living facility. After several health issues, she is now in the Health Center where she receives the most wonderful care. I cannot say enough about the staff. They are the most dedicated "angels" that do all they can to make my mom's stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They keep our family well-informed and up to date on any changes in Mom's care. They make us feel confident that she is in good hands. I cannot imagine a better place with a more dedicated staff.

Parkwood Retirement is a great place! I'm so happy we moved my family member in there. I can't speak highly enough for it. It's pretty close to full all the time, and I can see why. The people who live there are so friendly. The staff is just wonderful. They're really willing to go out of their way to help my family member have a great stay there. The apartment has washer/dryer hookups, which she's very happy about. And her stuff fits pretty well. She has a nice balcony, and there are a lot of big trees in the community. It's located very close to doctors and hospitals. It's a really nice place, and she's very happy there.

This is a wonderful place. The staff and family communication has been really good. They were able to handle medication management, hygiene, bathing and dressing assistance for my loved one as some of the care provided by the community. They do offer continuing care so a resident can move into Independent living and move to assisted living or memory care as needed.

This is a friendly, clean facility. The staff are excellent. Always available to help you. One can read, play games, or do absolutely nothing! I love living here.

This community is brand new and really beautiful but something a little more old fashioned would fit my loved one more. I would for sure recommend to tour this community however. This community was really good but there was just another community that clicked more for me.

We have remarkable, dedicated staff giving 110% to ensure every resident has had the opportunity to be in engaged in activities in The Oaks and out in the community. I have been here for 5 years and have always felt safe.

I have been a resident at Greenwood Village South for four years. Prior to moving to GVS, I visited all the Senior Living Communities on the southside of Indianapolis and northern Johnson County to evaluate each community. The professionalism of the GVS Marketing Staff in presenting all the pertinent information at the two luncheons I attended made my decision an obvious one. Moving to GVS is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Living here is so much more than anything I could have expected. You will notice a sign saying, “Heroes Work Here” at the entrance to GVS. This motto is the epitome of what GVS is all about. Everyone loves a hero and GVS has a great team of heroes! I could list many reasons why individuals love GVS. However, those three simple words explain why living at GVS is such an enjoyable experience for your retirement years.

I am so blessed to live in a cottage at GVS since [date removed]. The entire staff at GVS is so helpful and show kindness to all. A call to the Maintenance Department results in my immediate maintenance needs to be taken care of. There are so many excellent activities to be involved with. The trips available are excellent and so well planned and supervised! GVS is the place to live!

I thought I was getting good care at home. Then I moved to assisted living at Clarendale of Mokena. Now I am getting great care. Everyone is so nice to me.

GVS is a good place to live. It meets all the basic needs of its residents with a professional leadership team and a skilled support staff whose efforts are fully dedicated to meet those needs. GVS is a place to enjoy. This is a welcoming community with multiple activities for multiple interests. If one is bored, it is by choice, not by lack of opportunities. GVS is a place of safety and health. The well-equipped fitness center and the clinic with well-trained staff available 24/7 for needs and emergencies provide me, as well as my out-of-town family, a sense of security. GVS is a place to call Home!

I like the friendliness, the food and the people. The staff is efficient and helpful.

I rate Clarendale as a "5." The people are so friendly! There are lots of activities for older people - like BINGO!

The tour I had with Clarendale of Algonquin was great. The reason I did not go with this facility was because there was no indoor parking which was something I needed. It was also pretty expensive. Overall it was just not what I was looking for, but may be a perfect fit for someone else.

After 22 years of Florida sun and fun it was time to come home. GVS had been on our radar for some time and in 2021 the opportunity presented itself. The decision was quick, the move not so easy. The staff was great in handling our needs from a thousand miles away. We are very pleased with our cottage and the friendly atmosphere of GVS.

I cannot say enough great things about the Parkwood Retirement Community. My Mother lived there for several years and it is one big happy family. The staff are great and were very attentive to her needs. They definitely go above and beyond for the residents.

It is a blessing to live at GVS …...for over 15 years. The safety and security experienced continue to be quite comforting. Utility bills and maintenance are on someone else. We sold the driveway, sidewalk, yard, shrubbery, and upkeep. Downsizing to a more comfortable living space was a great stress releaser. Our family feels good about where we are. A “Continuous Care” Facility provides insurance that even if we run out of money we will be taken care of. The surrounding community is serviceable and available. The staff are good people and so is the food.

My experience with the Plantation Village has been above average. My husband and I had an overnight visit before the COVID-19 Pandemic. We were treated so well by the Plantation Village staff. A resident couple that we met were so very kind to us. They joined us for a dinner meal that evening. Both of them were so kind to answer our many questions. Each one seemed to want to fully explain the answer so that we could apply it to Plantation Village. The answers seemed to be their honest opinion. After an enjoyable dinner with the couple, the woman asked us if we would like to see their apartment. After a short hesitation, we did accept the invitation. My husband and I were so pleased to see inside a "lived in" place. apartment. The next morning we ate breakfast at Plantation Village. The choices were limited but adequate. I used the exercise room before we left. We also walked all around the community before we loaded the car and started our trek back to our home.

The biggest thing that I tell people is there is nothing bad to say about the place. I have been impressed with everything from day one. And that still stands. The staff is super friendly. They always greet you when you come in. There are plenty of activities to do if you choose to. It's a little expensive, but they're in line with other places. Overall I'm very happy and pleased with The Avalon.

I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff are amazing to work with. The value of what you are getting for what you pay is great. The apartment, 20 meals a month which is dinner and you can add more if you want, internet, cable, transportation, and activities are included in the monthly fee. The telephone, electricity, gas, housekeeping, laundry, and changing of linens can be added for additional fees. The laundry facilities is on each floor of the building for the residents to use. The apartment does have a full kitchen with full stove and refrigerator in it. Bridge group, entertainment programs, games, and more are some of the activities offered for the residents to choose from. My loved one enjoys the dinners served, and they have a pretty good variety.

I have lived in Johnson County all my life and have multiple friends who live or have lived at Greenwood Village South over the years and have so many great things to say. I have two friends who attended an event just last week and called me to tell me about it and they are setting an appointment next week! I think it might be time for me to start looking as well.
