Looks wonderful when visiting, but they did not adhere to proper medical care, did not notice my father having had 2 strokes, and were more concerned with money than anything else. I had been very hopeful upon visiting and even at move in, but was quickly disappointed.

I have very mixed feelings about our family's dealings with Signature Pointe. [name removed] , who helped us get lined up for assisted living, was incredibly helpful. I felt like she really cared about our family. I would also say that the therapists were very good. Although we rented an assisted living apartment for a month, mom was never well enough to take possession of it. She remained in skilled nursing/rehab for her less than two month stay at SP, although she was there for about ten days in [date removed] also. Meals were fine, as was cleanliness. The friendliness of the staff varied greatly. Some of them were wonderful and others were awful. As most places are, they were short staffed and mother often was soiled or needed attention for a long time before they would answer the buzzer. Mom would go several days without even a sponge bath. One day I was visiting her and some people from the state were evaluating. After I told them this, things got better for a while. They said this was not in accordance with the rules and state law. A few weeks later, we had been out of town for our son's wedding, and a few minutes after we returned to Dallas I got a call from a nurse that mother had contracted COVID. She only lived for six more days. Of course, they moved her to the COVID ward, but the phones did not work and I could hardly get through to her. Finally I begged nurse [name removed] to see mom, and she allowed me to. I appreciated that. The day before mom lost responsiveness a nurse held the phone for mom to talk to us, and she sounded terrible. I called and called, and finally got through to one of the head nurses. I told her exactly what room mom was in, the last room on the left (I gave her the correct room number) of the COVID ward. The nurse came back and said mom had eaten a good breakfast. I knew this could not be true because mom had not been able to eat much at all the past several months. We got a call late the next evening that mother was unresponsive and they were sending her to the hospital. We immediately went to be with her. After she passed away that weekend, my husband and I went right to SP to pick up her belongings. They had misplaced all of her clothes and gave me someone else's. I noticed this on the way to the car, so I took them back in and donated them. It was really hard to get through to staff, and I felt they were not upfront with me about mother's condition. That is a painful memory. We went with SP because it is a nice facility, and it's hard to find retirement facilities that offer independent, assisted living, rehab, and skilled nursing.

I would have given RGV 10 stars a year ago. The past 2 months they have started incorporating petty changes that have a huge impact on residents. They no longer deliver packages to residents doors. Big problem for elderly people with mobility issues. . Get volunteers or an intern to do it. Just poor decision making. Now they have removed all magazines from common areas. They want the place to look sterile as opposed to lived in. Just toss old magazines and leave some for the residents enjoyment. Easy answer but instead i have heard several complaints on this one. Keurig machine removed from common area game room during renovations??The latest : family or friends cannot use residents points to dine This is a problem as my mom has leftover points every month. Points she has PAID for and will lose at the end of the year. Nonresidents can’t use those points/$$ mom has paid for already. Now she will be billed for those meals. Shaking my head.

The location is fantastic with shopping and restaurants close by. It's conveniently located to st. Louis, St. Charles and all of their offerings. The complex is well kept and they have fun family events. They make us feel welcome. I'm just disappointed in all of the staff changes and price increases that seemingly come without notice. The sales process was wonderful. We were told we would be locked into a rate for a year. However, that was not in the paperwork and we have been experiencing price increases which is difficult with fixed incomes. The staff has been accommodating. However, we have had a couple emergencies where the call buttons were used and there were long delays and I had to assist my mom on one occasion.

The Memory Care unit is a dump. The outdoors sitting area on the memory care side is never kept up. There are hundreds of cigarettes' butts. During Feb and March the outdoor area is gross. The food is gross. I am not happy at all.

They are great when looking for a place. But marginal once you've moved in. There seems to be high staff turnover in the kitchen. The sizes and amenities offered are good. Overall I would recommend Havenwood of Maple Grove.

My loved one is currently a resident at Walnut Place. It's only been two or three months. We're not very happy with the place. They are understaffed and he is not getting the care that we hoped for. He has fallen several times. The nurse aide I talk with says that she is not happy that the others are not watching over him when she is not there. A couple of the nurse aides speak roughly or impatiently to the residents. I understand that the patients in memory care are not easy, but I wish Walnut Place hired for a more caring personality. I should say that the Director of Nursing, [name removed], is very nice and means well but is so overwhelmed by all of the demands on him for monitoring 6 floors that he often forgets what he promised and drops the ball.

Oakmont Assisted Living served her needs while she was there. Positives are the grounds, the interior common spaces and the individual rooms. The place was always very clean and so housekeeping is certainly doing a good job. Also, some of the social gatherings seemed fun. My interactions with the staff were always pleasant. Negatives are the food and the availability of care. If dining was important, I would look elsewhere. If ready, reliable and consistent assisted living care (including transportation to doctor visits) was important, I would look elsewhere or be prepared to hire ancillary outside care.

Staff is generally nice. My mother received ok care. But feel like there could be more for the residents to do. Not sure how hard the workers tried to keep them busy. The place itself the living area in memory care definitely needs updating. Very outdated and small and didn't seem comfortable. They hold all of their activities in this room and there isn't always enough space. For the cost I believe there should be so much more offered.

I would say 95% good but you have to manage your expectations. The management and food staff try hard but there are challenges with maintaining quality care providers. I expect much more for what we are paying, but also understand the practical side of operating a facility like this.I would recommend to someone who has a person in their care under similar circumstances.

New director of AL is helpful and nice. Maybe she can make an impact. However the facility doesn't have a caring culture, no staff and resident relationship development. Too big a facility and help and care is spread thin.

[name removed] the sales director is amazing and an absolute doll. The people at the front desk are friendly but need to be informed more. The nurses do have patience but need to be informed as well. The kitchen staff is very pleasant as well as the servers. I find that if I need help with my uncle I call on [name removed]. So from the places we visit watermark of Bellingham took the prize

The other residents seem nice. The staff is less attentive than I would expect. My mother had been at another facility in independent living. That facility was struggling and had very few activities. So when it was time to move her to assisted living, it made sense to move her. We liked the physical facility, the variety of activities and the people we met (staff) were nice and seemed to be on the ball.

Mom really wasn't interested in activities. Nurses were slow to respond to family questions and didn't seem very accessible. Aides were impatient most of the time, not all of course but Mom was "yelled at" a couple times. She had a few falls while there and we were not notified of all of them (she wasn't injured). Mom's ability to be in assisted living deteriorated fairly quickly. She lived there 4 months but moved to [facility name removed] in June. Havenwood changed ownership while Mom was there…I think 3rd owner since opening in 2020. That made it hard, visiting PT and OT company changed, that was hard on Mom. She did love the ladies that she dined with.

My loved one is a resident at Rose Senior Living. Many of the chairs and sofas have urine stains. Some aides have made comments to my loved one that she doesn't try hard enough to move her limbs or to stand on her own. She has Parkinson's disease and some days she struggles with movement. It's very upsetting to her and to us. Overall, the staff is good. Some staff members could be considered for extra training in compassion care. I am not sure about the activities since I am not there weekly.

Just stay on them and ask lots of questions until you get the answer. There is several different departments to deal with, not one person leads you through the process. Many departments do not have late afternoon or early evening hours to accommodate working children of prospective resident/ resident. Must leave work to deal with. We picked this community because it was friendly people and lots to offer, but we were let down in many areas for the money we're paying.

We were told this is a business. Most of staff is very nice, management skews truth. To improve, do your job and and keep promises to families. Families talk to each other.

The sales rep was so willing to help and reviewed all that would be provided as well as a furnished room It just felt like the right place. If one were to ask me about my experience I would say that I would be more satisfied if my loved one had more attention and those that are responsible to provide the care needed would also be aware of those needs.

We moved my Mom to Clarendale Arcadia in December 2022. While it's a beautifully decorated building with some lovely staff, it is so cheaply built--from plastic toilet seats that fall off almost weekly to odd lumps and bumps in floors that can lead to a resident tripping in his/her own apartment, to food that is less than edible. They are lacking some much-needed and promised items--round the clock security that mans the front desk; two dining rooms (one sits empty); a full slate of activities; food that "fits" the price and the environment. Granted these are seniors, but I think they deserve better if they are going to charge these prices. Staff turnover has been huge--but that is to be expected in the industry. Hoping in their 2nd year things improve.

Clarendale has a beautiful building but unfortunately that's where it ends. Management is a disaster. Lots of talk but zero action. Complaints about bad food and terrible service are ignored. There are committees that meet to solve these problems but any reasonable suggestions are ignored. Clarendale's sales philosophy borders on craziness. With occupancy hovering around fifty percent, sales continues to charge for parking and miniscule storage areas. A nickel here and a dime there, seems to be the sales philosophy. Clarendale has some very good people but they are increasingly harder to find. This could be spectacular place to live but not with short sighted management!
