While the food is great, service in the dining room is hit or miss. It's either great or terribly slow. The TV service is also spotty. Administratively there seems to be a lack of attention to detail - misspellings and conflicting times printed in newsletters and activity sheets. They are currently in the middle of a huge construction project. At the moment, I would not recommend them.

The lack of communication / inaccurate information from the memory care director about what steps needed to be taken after my father passed away at the facility was very frustrating.

The administration was notably absent. Food selection and service awful !!!!! especially for those who have dietary needs- do not send anyone there who has special food needs or that can't drive- scheduling a ride and getting to appointments were challenging- drivers did not stay they lost their long time driver and could not keep a full transport schedule due to staffing.

There's been a new management team put in place since earlier this year. They seem to be trying to make overall general improvements. I do believe the cleanliness of the community has declined since my Mom moved in over three years ago. Hopefully, that too will soon be addressed. Also, my mom had to transfer from assisted living to memory care shortly after she moved in. It seems the food selection is better in assisted living.

I would tell others looking into NorthPointe Woods to get their priorities straight. [name removed] is safe, his meds are given to him, and he has 3 meals a day. We are grateful for what he is being given. If you want more than that, you need to pay for private home care. He's safe and taken care of, but it's not the care you and I would give our love one.

The building and facilities are lovely and well maintained. The amenities offered( transportation, salon, communal spaces )are convenient. There are many negatives including the staffing and their attitude towards the residents. We have found a great majority of the staff to be lazy, unhelpful, rude, and unavailable. This is noticed from the management as well as the aides. The food, according to my grandmother, is mostly awful. It is often served cold with little to no flavor. Those factors contributed to my grandmother's decision to leave. If someone needs minimal to no assistance with ADLs then this might be a good place for them, however, if one needs assistance with ADL's then this place is likely not the best option.

I visited [name removed] for 3 days in the fall, so that was a very brief look at the facility. Here are my impressions of several incidents that are NOT good. It is clique-ey like junior high girls in the dining room. I arrived on Sunday so [name removed ] and I went through the buffet line for dinner then saw a table with several empty seats and approached. The women who were seated said Oh no, those are for so and so and so and so! One morning when I called [name removed] had vomited in her bed and tried calling someone in charge but found no one. Clients should know how to get help in a timely manner.

I think I would give each item a 3. Part of the issue has been that there was a brand new leadership team just starting to transition when we moved my mom there. I think it's improved since then, but then they also just increased the cost of my mom's rent by [fee removed] without ever giving us a heads up. After sending an email to inquire about this steep increase, I have yet to receive an answer. But the facilities are clean and staff are friendly.

I would have given RGV 10 stars a year ago. The past 2 months they have started incorporating petty changes that have a huge impact on residents. They no longer deliver packages to residents doors. Big problem for elderly people with mobility issues. . Get volunteers or an intern to do it. Just poor decision making. Now they have removed all magazines from common areas. They want the place to look sterile as opposed to lived in. Just toss old magazines and leave some for the residents enjoyment. Easy answer but instead i have heard several complaints on this one. Keurig machine removed from common area game room during renovations??The latest : family or friends cannot use residents points to dine This is a problem as my mom has leftover points every month. Points she has PAID for and will lose at the end of the year. Nonresidents can’t use those points/$$ mom has paid for already. Now she will be billed for those meals. Shaking my head.

They are great when looking for a place. But marginal once you've moved in. There seems to be high staff turnover in the kitchen. The sizes and amenities offered are good. Overall I would recommend Havenwood of Maple Grove.

Oakmont Assisted Living served her needs while she was there. Positives are the grounds, the interior common spaces and the individual rooms. The place was always very clean and so housekeeping is certainly doing a good job. Also, some of the social gatherings seemed fun. My interactions with the staff were always pleasant. Negatives are the food and the availability of care. If dining was important, I would look elsewhere. If ready, reliable and consistent assisted living care (including transportation to doctor visits) was important, I would look elsewhere or be prepared to hire ancillary outside care.

Staff is generally nice. My mother received ok care. But feel like there could be more for the residents to do. Not sure how hard the workers tried to keep them busy. The place itself the living area in memory care definitely needs updating. Very outdated and small and didn't seem comfortable. They hold all of their activities in this room and there isn't always enough space. For the cost I believe there should be so much more offered.

I would say 95% good but you have to manage your expectations. The management and food staff try hard but there are challenges with maintaining quality care providers. I expect much more for what we are paying, but also understand the practical side of operating a facility like this.I would recommend to someone who has a person in their care under similar circumstances.

[name removed] the sales director is amazing and an absolute doll. The people at the front desk are friendly but need to be informed more. The nurses do have patience but need to be informed as well. The kitchen staff is very pleasant as well as the servers. I find that if I need help with my uncle I call on [name removed]. So from the places we visit watermark of Bellingham took the prize

The other residents seem nice. The staff is less attentive than I would expect. My mother had been at another facility in independent living. That facility was struggling and had very few activities. So when it was time to move her to assisted living, it made sense to move her. We liked the physical facility, the variety of activities and the people we met (staff) were nice and seemed to be on the ball.

Mom really wasn't interested in activities. Nurses were slow to respond to family questions and didn't seem very accessible. Aides were impatient most of the time, not all of course but Mom was "yelled at" a couple times. She had a few falls while there and we were not notified of all of them (she wasn't injured). Mom's ability to be in assisted living deteriorated fairly quickly. She lived there 4 months but moved to [facility name removed] in June. Havenwood changed ownership while Mom was there…I think 3rd owner since opening in 2020. That made it hard, visiting PT and OT company changed, that was hard on Mom. She did love the ladies that she dined with.

My loved one is a resident at Rose Senior Living. Many of the chairs and sofas have urine stains. Some aides have made comments to my loved one that she doesn't try hard enough to move her limbs or to stand on her own. She has Parkinson's disease and some days she struggles with movement. It's very upsetting to her and to us. Overall, the staff is good. Some staff members could be considered for extra training in compassion care. I am not sure about the activities since I am not there weekly.

Just stay on them and ask lots of questions until you get the answer. There is several different departments to deal with, not one person leads you through the process. Many departments do not have late afternoon or early evening hours to accommodate working children of prospective resident/ resident. Must leave work to deal with. We picked this community because it was friendly people and lots to offer, but we were let down in many areas for the money we're paying.

We were told this is a business. Most of staff is very nice, management skews truth. To improve, do your job and and keep promises to families. Families talk to each other.

The sales rep was so willing to help and reviewed all that would be provided as well as a furnished room It just felt like the right place. If one were to ask me about my experience I would say that I would be more satisfied if my loved one had more attention and those that are responsible to provide the care needed would also be aware of those needs.
