After our lunch today, we spent around 12 minutes trying to attract the attention of a server to place a dessert order. My wife decided to go to the kitchen to summon someone. On her way, she encountered the Director of Food and Beverage. She explained that we were having difficulty placing our dessert order. He assured her that he would handle the situation. He then walked away, seemingly heading to the front office. After waiting for 10 minutes, we finally managed to get a server's attention who took our order. Later, we noticed the Director of Food and Beverage returning to the kitchen. His demeanor suggested a complete disregard for our situation.

It is a nice, newish facility. Amenities seem nice and rooms are well designed. Nice courtyards. My unknown is what a typical day in memory care looks like because many people are out with families on a weekend and the rest were quiet, sleeping and unengaged. The hallways were a labrynth. Anyone could get lost, or confused. I would think a regular assisted living situation would be very nice, but memory care looked grim. This could be a weekend perspective.

Dad is at level 4b care and there have been some issues getting all of his care issues resolved. Overall it has gone pretty well though. Nursing staff is good and attentive. Aides are a little difficult to understand. But helpful. Room is clean. Food is very good. Dad is quite happy.

Very professional tour. Staff very caring and involved. Residents appeared to be enjoying life and happy. Clean and lovely facility. Great dining facility and very delicious food. Apartments are nice but small,limited closet space. Valet service. Bus service. Beauty parlor on site .

I like that my dad can be active and interact with others and get out into the community

My mother has made a lot of good friends and acquaintances in a short time. I would recommend to others.

Delaney is a very large facility with good facilities. I felt it was somewhat under staffed and there seemed to be a lack of communication between the staff at shift changes. This was mainly what I experienced with the nursing staff in the dementia ward.

The residents are very friendly, which makes this community easy to recommend. While the facility isn’t perfect and sometimes experiences staffing challenges in the dining room that can lead to longer wait times, the building has been fully renovated and is very nice. The apartments are spacious, around 1,300 square feet, and the community offers great amenities, including a swimming pool and a continuum of care.

Nice facility and the rooms are spacious; however. The prices are very high for what you get. Very limited meal plan.

The sales and marketing staff was exceptionally helpful to find the perfect unit for my mom, that had all the amenities she wanted.

What we like the most about the community is that it is very clean, there are a lot of activities for the residents to patriciate in and the staff members are friendly. Yes, we would recommend Freedom Village to other families.

[name removed] was a very good representative of The Avalon. There was a bit of miscommunication bc we need memory care not assisted living. Overall it was a very good presentation.

They only provide transportation to appointments 2 days a week. IL has care available but at an extra cost. They need more activities for visually impaired and more entertainment. They do not live stream mass

We appreciated the staff staying as were were delayed with D. appointments for the prospective resident. [name removed] was great on the phone with communication. [name removed] is an excellent nurse, very thorough. Every staff member, even in passing was kind and friendly. Their system for providing the best in assisted living was very detailed. We needed to get additional information from her podiatrist, which we are still waiting for. Everything s=is clean and seemed designed for ease of residents. This was my choice as an RN, Our relative preferred a smaller assisted living. We are still finalizing. But if there is a second need or any change, I would absolutely choose Richmond Place.

What we like the most about the community is the overall pleasant atmosphere, nice staff, nice location. Yes I do recommend The Delaney. It has a nice atmosphere, good facilities, and caring staff. My only suggestion for improvement is to offer more activities and tools for the visually impaired. My FiL would participate much more in community activities if they made accommodations to include those with poor vision.

Nursing Staff is great!!! Very receptive. Very friendly. Very helpful. Timely responses. Mom says food is just ok. Room size is good. Great resources for laundry and housekeeping. The only downside is the second floor is not cheerful. This is the floor that needs some "happy decor". Dining room staff not overly friendly and going in there at meal time is like going to a library. No to minimal interaction.

Easy to navigate for families. Each resident gets a code their family can use to get in without signing in and out each time. Lots of Drs/PA on site. Options for home health care nursing assistants to come at a very reasonable price for independent living. Notary on staff. Meals can be delivered to room for a $[removed] fee per meal. They offer three meals a day. That's a big deal as most offer two for the same price.

The administrator we met with was great [name removed]. Their evaluation process was thorough, they definitely do what is best for the resident. The feedback from the evaluation was honest and helped us make the best decision for my mom. The memory care and assisted living apartments are quite spacious and well maintained. I've found all the staff friendly, conscientious, caring and very good at communicating with family members about their loved ones. Food choices could always be improved by my standards. My mom, who is in memory care, is a hearty eater. Seems to be a lot of soft foods served. ( soups, soft breakfast options etc.) Doesn't seem that there are a lot of protein ( meat ) options. I think they could have more brain engaging, and active ( physical)activities for those who are used to more active lifestyles.
