As a local SRES Realtor, I have helped so many Seniors transition from their current home to Assisted Living and every time I visit my past clients at Freedom Village, the environment is happy and lively. The staff is amazing and the facility is like a high end hotel. I just met with a past client today and she could not stop talking about how it was the best decision she ever made and couldn't be happier. And that each day feels like a vacation. I had to share my thoughts on here because I think it is important to recognize the Senior Living facilities who really do such a great job. I can't say this has been the experience of all the facilities I have visited my clients in, so it is refreshing to know places like this exist.

Very nice facility. The rooms were much roomier. A little more affordable than some others I've seen on Staten Island but still pricey for a single apartment--not sure my mom would be willing to share a room.One of my top choices at the moment.

I moved to Parkwood Retirement Community December 15, 2016. I love living at Parkwood. When I decided to sell my home and move, I never considered any place other than Parkwood. It was a good move for me and I have no regrets about leaving my home. The entire staff is wonderful. All are very caring and make us feel like we have an extended family or at best that is how I feel now. My plan is to make Parkwood my forever home!

It's a very happy and welcoming facility. The faculty is very helpful and generous. The place is so very well kept and nicely decorated. All of the residents and work was very pretty and a nice sight to see.

I toured the facility with [Name removed] who was very nice and enthusiastic in showing me around, specifically all of the beautiful murals and art projects that the residents have done. [Name removed] also gave me an extensive tour as we discussed teaching classes in the spring. Clarendale is decorated beautifully and extremely clean and well maintained. Loved it! Everyone is very helpful and all smiles!

As publishers of Chicagoland Senior News, we work with several senior residences. We would put Clarendale of Algonquin at the top of our list because of their overall commitment to their residents well being as their #1 priority.

My wife and I have lived in the Independent Living section of the Arlington for a few days more than one year. We are at peace here and feel safe and secure. Of utmost importance to us is the family atmosphere here which provides for us meaningful connections with people who have shared lives similar to ours. It feels like we are in an extended family who never hesitates to support and help us through this period of our lives. The dining facilities are excellent, with impressive menus of very good food. The activities seem countless. We can busy ourselves almost all day if we want to. We involve ourselves in many different kinds of these activities, but the one I like most is the Thursday morning men's coffee at which residents give talks about their many experience in life and they are extraordinary. I haven't missed one of these gatherings since our arrival. We also have a very active Resident's Council. Members are residents just like us. The Council is committed to making sure all residents are happy living here.

I think this is the one for her. She loved the staff and the independence she still needs.

I needed to find a sub-acute nursing facility for my uncle and they were very helpful. They setup appointments at three facilities and within a days I had appointments to visit 3 facilities and found the most wonderful facility in Greendale. Harbour Village is priced very fairly, the staff is wonderful to work with and the food is great! They have activities if the resident is interested, the residents are friendly and the transportation services in house are easy to use and very accommodating. The apartments are generous in size, cleaning services were wonderful and included laundry. Nothing bad to say about Harbour Village and I have recommended it to others.

Delicious – nutritious food! No microwaves! Specials apartments, great big windows. Expensive white blinds on windows, white walls reflect light with cheerful, happy feeling. Huge come along, heated 86° fresh water sparkling pool, good for swimming and exercising! Super friendly staff and other residents. Great value

Great, spacious apartments. Excellent food, staff most accommodating, friendly people I have ever seen. Great value and location. Best movies every night in theater with five stars. Huge heated swimming pool. Everything easy and convenient to get to. So happy to be here, life starts again

This seems like a wonderful place to move my mom to! Every team member was charming it from their experience, they seem happy to work here. The residents we talked you were very content of the care they receive! Food was delicious and the rooms were nice.

My parents love their new place, they loved it from our first visit. They have great food and lots of activities. They are loved and they got out of their suites a lot. They are happy here, so we are happy to. Keep up the good work

Spent five weeks in Assisi health care after a fall and broke his arm. Was taken good care of it for the entire time. PT and OT were excellent and staff was top-notch

I stayed here for rehab when I had my first knee surgery and knew this was the only place I wanted to go for my other knee. Everyone here is kind and helpful

Parkwood is a facility that truly cares for the residents. The aging process is not always easy and the outstanding staff here is trained and always available for any assistance needed. The residents know this and they also truly care for our staff. This makes for a happy atmosphere and a very pleasant place to live.

Looking at options for my parents... I think I found the right place. Beautiful, but really comfortable. Nice apartments with really high ceilings and good light. The people there seem very happy and friendly.

Great community. Staff are so helpful, go out of their way to help my mom. Mom receives great care.

I have had a great experience living in independent living. The staff is amazing!
