My family and loved one have had a wonderful experience with The Kempton. The staff are very professional and attentive. The caregivers are caring and helpful to the residents and families. Overall, we would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

I would normally “pop in” to visit and each time I did, the facility was lively, the staff was knowledgeable, and engaged with its residents, and they were effectively communicating amongst themselves. The Kempton was always neat and clean upon my arrival - no matter what time of day or night I arrived, and I was always greeted promptly. We have already recommended The Kempton to friends, neighbors and colleagues in our community and surrounding areas. If I could say one thing that could be improved, it might be “assistance or supervision (to some) at meals and possibly help choosing future meals”. HOWEVER, I understand it is nearly impossible to manage a person at mealtime, who does not have the desire to eat or who has lost the “drive to do so”. Our resident’s situation was a rehabilitative case and the “entire staff”, bar none, did their absolute best to accommodate our special “family member”. The food looked appetizing, smelled great and the ladies and gentlemen in the dining room served the residents with happy faces…when they didn’t have on “masks”. Even when they did have on masks they spoke with each resident, and everyone was extremely caring, polite, and helpful. [name removed] was “our favorite care giver” - actually our family member’s “Favorite”. She really went above and beyond in many ways to make our family member feel at home and safe at Kempton. The entire staff: [names removed] and who can forget [name removed] (great hairdos)…made it nice for her and for us when we visited. The facility is comfortable. The staff is kind and knowledgeable, and engaged with its residents. This is not a sterile environment. It is a friendly place where people care about your loved ones.

My bariatric wheelchair bound brother stayed here for 2 1/2 months while my husband and I tried to find a home that he could live in with his mobility and health issues. We all came from [name removed][name removed] at Kempton answered our panicked call from us to find a place for him to stay in temporarily. The price there for respite care was the cheapest of all the places that I was referred to and [name removed] came out to our first house immediately to assess my brothers mobility to see if they could handle him. He was accepted and able to move in the next day. The room was very accommodating for his extra large wheel chair. He could access the bathroom and shower. He had a small kitchen counter with sink, microwave and small refrigerator, as well as furniture and TV that they also provided. My brother loved everyone there, including staff and residents. He is actually having trouble finding a primary doctor here and may end up going back as a resident to Kempton because they have a doctor that comes there and my brother needs insulin so the doctor there can prescribe it. Also, my brother is missing everyone there. So, yes Kempton has been very good to us.

The family and our loved one have had a great experience with The Kempton of Hermitage. My loved one is enjoying their time here. The staff are helpful when we have questions. We would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

All independent living/nursing facilities have issues, but I feel like Kempton has been very quick to solve problems and have been good communicators. I feel like my mom is in good hands and she has been thriving there socially once she found her tribe. The moving-in/orientation could have been much more smooth, but we moved in around the holidays, so I chalked it up to that.

We were only there for 2 months and Mom was under Hospice care also. The Kempton techs and nurses were very kind to Mom and they were quick to respond when we had a question or needed help. They truly loved Mom. Our first impression Front desk receptionist was the best. [name removed] was very interactive with the residents and she guarded them like her children. Director of nursing and office staff always had time to talk and answer questions. Activities director came to the rooms to remind and take residents to activities. Food was delicious the first couple of days - don't know what happened. Too many carbs and often cold. Dining staff was always kind and helpful. Overall - I would recommend Kempton to others. But first I'd recommend a Place for Mom. I was overwhelmed as we began our search, but A Place for Mom was understanding, helpful and very patient with us. And they didn't give up on us, as they followed up with all calls and referrals. We owe you our deepest gratitude!

I felt the community was big, fancy, and expensive. They had a nice happy hour.

It is very reassuring to see the interaction with the staff and residents. I am there almost every day and have not seen anyone be unkind or speak unkindly to a resident. I would like to see housekeeping care for the residents room more often.

It's an overwhelming process placing a loved one, and initially there's so much paperwork. But now that that's finished, we feel so relaxed knowing our parents are safe and well cared for. The staff have all been really helpful, and we've had no problems. My mother keeps very busy with the activities. I think the facility is clean and well maintained and has a welcoming appearance. There are benches and pillows outside to go and sit, and they decorate for the holidays. So far everything is going well.

I virtually toured Carlisle Palm Beach with a tour guide and I wanted to take my mom here, it was our first choice. I had to make a faster decision and the community we chose reassured me that if I wanted to take her to one of their other locations, it'd be an easy move. I stuck with them because of that.

Inspire at Sandhill is a great place for retirement. There are various activities such as swimming, exercise class, name-that-tune night to keep everyone entertained. There is also a small library along with a piano in the foyer, a chapel, a restaurant, and hair salon as well. The most important aspect, though, is the friendly staff. My aunt has felt most welcome since she first came to Inspire almost two years ago, so a big thank you to Inspire at Sandhills.

The community was very good. The had a waiting list and we needed something quicker.

My only complaint for care services is that we have laundry issues. Everyone appears to care for the residents. I feel that she is safe and well taken care of.

The food is pretty good and they offer a lot of activities.

Recently moved my mother to The Carlisle and it’s been the best thing for her. She wishes she had moved sooner. She has already made friends which was so important to her considering she had been isolated for so long now. The people that work there are extremely friendly and accommodating. This was the best decision!

Our family had an in person tour and The Carlisle was absolutely beautiful, it seemed like a wonderful community. We would love moving there ourselves, but unfortunately the community was just a tad to big for our mothers liking.

The Carlisle Palm Beach has an excellent staff. it's perfectly clean and very friendly, but the food is mediocre. other than that, its a very nice community. we have great activities, a helpful staff, and beautiful rooms.

They are amazing, I would give them more than 5 if I could. All of the staff have welcomed my mother in law with open arms and have helped her to adjust which has not always been an easy task for her. They always help her do what she needs to do, I cannot say enough great things about them. She said the food is wonderful and the residents are all so nice to her. The activities are great as well. I would highly recommend HarborChase of Rock Hill to others who are looking.

We thought Oakleaf of Lexington was excellent, and superior to most of the places that we looked at. They were just more expensive.
