Nice but not for Dad.

I took a tour and was very impressed with the variety of services and amenities available. However I found the apartments to be small and the kitchens and bathrooms dated. The price seems reasonable for all the services that are included: 3 meals a day, linen and cleaning service every day, laundry service, transportation, shows, outside events, movies, 2 pools and a friendly staff. I saw a lot of people who were chatting and congregating and they looked happy. If you don't need the newest or something too fancy, this could be a great place for you.

Property is well above the current budget. Good location. Hear good things about Fairwinds from a family member.

This is a newer facility and it looks really nice on the inside and outside. The only problem I really have is that the location is really poor. It sits in the middle of nowhere. There are churches nearby along with farming land and a freeway. There weren't very many balcony apartments and that was one of our requirements. Unfortunately, we couldn't pick this facility because they didn't have any balcony apartments available and we weren't happy with the location of the facility

I toured Fairwinds, and I thought that it was a very nice community, but I felt it was too expensive for me. The person who took me around was very helpful and I was able to get brochures and a good deal of information, but I just didn’t feel that the price was practical for me.

I toured Fairwinds while looking at options for my mother. It is a larger facility with elevators. I felt that it was nice, but was overall too big, busy, and too far away from family. I was looking for a community with a more home-like comfort for my mother, and I just didn’t feel that Fairwinds would suit her.

[Removed] is very nice and knowledgeable. Was doing good until we went into the secure portion of the building which is memory care. The odor hits you hard as soon as you walk through the door through out the secure area though no smell what detected tin the main part of the community. The residents rooms were very smelly and uninviting. One lady had on a very dirty shirt that seem to be ill fitting or inside out. I would think that someone should have helped her with that. She was not in the memory care part of the facility.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my mother. I thought they had a great first impression and all of the residents seemed to be enjoying themselves that I could see. I liked how professional the staff where and thought they did a great job with answering all of my questions that I had for them in detail. I also liked that they had an open floor plan that was easy to navigate through.

Dancing River Assisted Living was a nice and clean community. It was a little-tired looking and could use some updating so that it had better curb appeal. The staff members were friendly and professional. We chose another community that better suited our needs.

They very nice,call 2days before and informed us that they did not have a furnished apt at this time.We thanked them for there help.

On the surface, this looks like a great place when you tour and talk to the managers. Once you've been with them for awhile (2 weeks or so!), things change. You don't get the services promised. Difficult to find anyone of any importance available to speak to if you want to. The weekends are horrible at this facility - no activities, no managers, bad food, inexperienced staff, poor security. During the week, things aren't too bad because you can get some help for your family member if you make enough noise - typical medical organization. Managers say that they will solve problems but then...(crickets chirping.) They don't really care if you're unhappy with the services. Very apathetic staff, no enthusiasm, they act like they're bored with you.

My loved one's stay at Fairwinds is going fairly okay. The facility is very clean and well maintained. However, the staff do not adhere to my loved one's medical needs. They could also do better at encouraging my loved one to socialize and participate in activities. clean and well maintained, quite ,

We had a very good tour of this community. Everything looked great, and very well maintained. Our tour guide was kind, and informative. All our questions were answered. We just didn't feel this was the community for my mother in law.

I toured this community for the care of my parents. They had very nice staff members who were able to answer the questions we had on the care available. The community is very clean and the meals seem to be appealing. I would suggest a tour of this community for other families. A good value for the care that is recommended.

I met with [Removed]. She was not expecting me. She was very gracious. Saw two one bedroom apartments in both phase 1 and phase 2. Two bedrooms were quoted but prices were very high.

We know it is going well for my mom and I have nothing to compare it to but we are very pleased. It's immaculate, the staff are excellent and friendly. Activities are available but she does not participate, it's too difficult for her. However, she has lots of friends and family stopping by to see her. For the most part it's good and tasty. Once I saw them serve liver and onions, she is eating it and not complaining. I would recommend their care. I chose the facility because it is 2 blocks from her home. The neighborhood is familiar to her.

Extremely friendly and helpful administration. Stacy met us on time and talked with us about the situation. It's a clean environment with lots of socialization. Independent and assisted living are intermingled. Sit separate areas. Drawback: Very, very small apartments. Only had two available. Not a big turnover so being on a wait list is common. The one, ground floor, apartment looked out to the main entrance parking lot and was next to a stairwell. Not acceptable to mom. Other was overlooking parking lot with full trees. Not bad, but there was no balcony so no outside patio leisure. Room was still too small even though it was a one bedroom with additional living room. Minimal kitchen utilities. No dishwashers nor oven. Two burner stovetop. Small fridge. No coat closet. Storage was minimal. Small bathroom.

For my husband who is early 60s, the environment of memory care was not active/involving enough for our needs. Great facility and great options if you are assisted living - pool, gym, theatre, bar, live music, etc.

At first it was a ruff start for us here at this community. There wasn't many activities offered for the residents. Also church trips were important, and they were not providing any. Overall we are pleased, but my mother tends to get bored at times. Hopefully with this new director things improve.

I feel the care given is suitable here. The staff prepare and make good meals. It is well kept all over the facility. They are happy here and has even made a friend. Recently we discovered the facility does not have some permits to provide necessary medical needs. At times I had to insist resolutions to some problems. Now we have to find a more suitable community for the right medical attention.
