[removed] became Inspired Senior Living, then changed hands again and is now Volante. Since the most recent administrative staff turnover in the spring of 2024, the facility has become 100% "corporate". There've been some surface improvements for appearance, some new policies enacted, and everything is now obviously profit-driven. Some families will appreciate this, but mine really misses the home-like, happy-close-knit-team, common-sense dynamic we signed up for with [name removed]. Also, dealing with the Volante business office is a nightmare. Fortunately, some of mom's favorite caregivers from the [removed]l days are still there, but Volante no longer has an onsite nursing/care supervisor. Mom's standing order for a UA (when when she clearly has a UTI) is no longer followed through with. I'm fortunate enough to live locally and can keep tabs on missed showers/meals and other things required for mom to be healthy.

The staff members at Harborside at Melbourne are always nice in our presence. Housekeeping is pretty good. I don't know if my mother tells them to go away or not. Because there are times that the room isn't always pleasant smelling. The meals are actually very good. They really need to renovate the place. They were replacing the pool since we signed the lease. It's still a disgusting cesspool. I don't have any other place to compare it to, so I would refrain from any recommendations at this.

Some areas are very good, and some could use some improvement. My dad is in the independent living section not assisted-living. However, I think the quality of care can improve in the independent living quarters if the staff cared a little more and was more friendly to the residents and family.

This is a bit hard as a new company took over. The new director has only been in place for 3 weeks. Things have been changing. Food needs improvement. Cleaning not great. Communication is now great. If there is follow through, activities are greatly improved. There is a 24 hour mandated response time. The social director had established many trips and excursions. There is a new chief.

At first it seemed great. Everyone was kind and attentive, but as soon as we moved my mother in it was as if she disappeared. We didn’t hear from the staff at all. We were told there were activities, but after mother moved in we were informed they didnt have an activities director. Mother has gone to the front desk asking for help with small things and their response has been they don't handle that kind of stuff. They don't call me. They just send her away. No one tries to engage her at all!! Very disappointing.

So far the aids and nurses are nice and take good care of my mom , but the head of wellness says a lot but doesn't do much

They have a new chef who is making improvements as he talks with residents. When concerns are voiced, they Center around dining. Servers are convivial. The response of management to our concerns is genuine and timely. Other residents are generally very friendly and supportive.

The rooms are not kept clean. I had to ask for someone to clean on a few occasions They are generally friendly but not good at follow up. Wound care nurse not very good. My mom is not assisted with much. My mom hates the food. I have never tried the food. I know they have activities but my mom has not participated in them. No one has tried to encourage her either. The place is expensive which I was aware of but the money we are paying far outweighs the value we have received. I also know the management is relatively new but they don't seem to be able to get things going in the right direction. I am sorry to say that I would not recommend La Orilla.

We toured The Heritage at Delray when looking for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was okay, however there was a waiting list for one bedroom units. Coming from owning her own home, I didn't think that my loved one would like to move to a studio.

Based on the experience we have had so far, we can say there is not enough staff especially when it comes to their nursing team. They have slow responses for the call help button. They also could improve on transitioning new clients.

There is no perfect place. Sage Spring is relatively new so staff was new. Also there was change in the director of memory care unit. My major complaint was that it was hard to reach staff in that section on the phone. Facility was short staffed nights and weekends. Usually if medical situation arose I had to deal with it. My loved one had COVID twice even though he was vaccinated.

Ashbrook village went up on our rent from $[removed] a month to $[removed] a month with one month notice. The apartments are old and the porches are about to fall in. There are NO amities except for one old barbecue grill that hasn’t been used in years. The apartments are infested with bugs that we are responsible to exterminate. They ask for $[removed] community fee along with a $[removed] non refundable deposit and another $[removed] for a pet. There are no pet parks and no amenities for the community fee. They do not care about the residents, in fact, we feel they want to run us off so they can collect more non refundable deposits. The only good part are the residents. We love and try to watch out for each other.

The Sage Spring community does seem to be short staffed. Their food was horrible. [name removed] (director) was fabulous!! What staff was there were sweet!! With the exception of the food yes. [name removed] I overheard her offer to go to a fast food restaurant to get our loved one something because he wouldn't eat.

The pricing only includes laundry and apartment cleaning & there will be an upcharge for any assistance they need. Staff are very friendly but they have some pain points with technology (billing system, a/c units, neck lanyards malfunctioning). The food is not anything special but the activities they provide are good for seniors to stay engaged.

We liked the community. However, my loved one enjoyed the residents more at another community they toured.

This was a nice community and the staff was great to work with. We felt more at home at another community. The community felt more hospital like and was close to a highway.

Our family had an in person tour and the lady who led the tour was almost to overly friendly and bubbly and for what they had to offer the pricing was to high. They did have a decent outdoor area and a nice trail that did circle the community with blueberry bushes, but it was off a busy street.

The level of care was initially started at a low level, and then increased the care level of my loved one after moving in to the community. The community made promises to us about changing meds, meeting with a social worker, and more and these didn't happen during my loved one's time here. They also promised us that they would assist my loved one to integrate into the community and my loved one didn't receive this. There was a staff member who refused to assist my loved one in going to the bathroom. The staff member stated that they would have change my loved one due to lack of staffing. There was only one staff member at night when my loved one pushed the call button. The staff let me know that there are times at night that they are left to only having one aide at night, and this made it hard for the staff to assist the resident's care needs. There are lots of bells and whistles along with promises, and these weren't fulfilled. The community stated that the family was making it harder for our loved one to transition into the community because we were visiting daily. The quality of food wasn't up to the family's standard as it was a lot of processed food. The community stated they couldn't accommodate the dietary restrictions of the residents.

I toured Grand Villa of Melbourne and they have a great staff, who were very friendly. I wasn't as impressed because they had some things under construction like the pool and whatnot. It seemed like there were a lot more residents sitting around and I just didn't feel comfortable that it would be a place I'd want my mom to be. There was nothing wrong with it, but I go by feelings a lot. Because it was previously a hotel, it felt like a hotel atmosphere. It was busier, but people were kind of sitting around and I didn't get to see activity or organized activity.

The food was good. The place was beautiful and clean, but my love done was not getting the right care. They fell out of the chair a few times because the seats are not comfortable enough. It's so easy to fall asleep, and fall out of the chairs, and because of this, I moved my loved one from this facility.
