Staff is friendly and caring to residents. Facility is kept clean and orderly at all times. They could improve how the regular mail is handled. Currently the mail is placed in an open cubby hole system with no locks. I think the independent Senior Residents should have locked mailboxes. We still continue to conduct business with our banks, doctors, and other vendors.

It is no longer Volante and is now the Archer. It was great as Volante, but the new company could do better. They have also filed chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy since buying Volante.

Quiet place and very safe here but my place has seen an increase in roaches and bugs needs a total overhaul also the rents are a bit high for the area. You have to sign a contract with direct deduction out of your bank account.

Didn't appreciate the buy in surprise. Thought the care was underwhelming. The facility and activities were a 5. I would recommend, especially if it was a quick place to heal. The medical was lacking, but everything else was pretty great, but the activity director is amazing and I would say was the best part for my in laws recovery

We had a good overall experience with volante. The staff were wonderful from the very beginning—helpful, patient, and caring throughout my father-in-law’s stay. The facility is clean and comfortable, though it’s a bit older and the rooms are on the smaller side with just a mini fridge. The main downside for him was the food. He often mentioned that the portions were small and the menu didn’t have much variety. Still, he always spoke highly of the staff and the care they provided. I’d say it’s a good option if attentive staff and a supportive environment are your top priorities, but there’s room for improvement with the dining service.

It’s new, lots of great activities. Restaurant experience is lovely . Intake was a bit of pressure . If the person(s) seeking new form of living and family is involved to advocate, plus compare to other providers , should be fine. It’s stressful time to make the change and we all handle that in our own way.

Hopefully with the new owners, maintenance issues will get addressed. Been 4 months of asking for repairs, and still waiting. Friendly staff. Wished the dining staff had better hours to accommodate all needs.

Good - It is a Beautiful place nice people. Bad - They raised their prices per month anywhere from [fee removed] to [fee removed] dollars. Crazy. It's a nice place but not that nice.

The place overall is nice. Having said that, you're always going to find 1 or 2 people that are part of the staff that could use additional training. I guess the training would entail something like how to be more professional at work. There are activities that are offered but what would be nice is to have someone to encourage the residents to participate more and leave their rooms. The food is good and the place is clean.

The admin [name removed] was a HUGE disappointment. I would not recommend the place besides a few nurses and [name removed]. [name removed] is a very nice person and the nurses seem pretty good but the turnover has been a lot and the admin was not at all what someone would expect.

It is a beautiful building. I think the initiation fee wasn't explained well which was unsettling. My in-laws have been able to socialize and heal from my mother-in-law's illness despite getting nearly no care from the medical staff. The first two weeks I did basically all her care and had to push for the minimal care that she even required. The follow-through with the care staff wasn't great. They have however enjoyed all the social interaction and activities. The food has been mostly good. I would definitely say it would be a good place for more independent living. As a family member you need to be diligent to make sure the care promised is being delivered. Unfortunate that the care wasn't 5 stars as I am a RN which was very disappointing. Otherwise, we would highly recommend over a typical nursing home environment.

Pros: overall the staff there have been good. Cons: It is not a nice enough area for my dad to walk around

The care staff is great overall, better than where she was before. More responsive overall, although occasionally she has to call down to remind them of something she needs. The prices seem to go up frequently. It's a very expensive place.

Even though a new corporation has taken over, there are remaining loyal employees. That says a lot! Personally, I am so proud and appreciative of all the teams. Thank you for your support & service teams!

We picked this community because of the location, recommendation from you all and we loved the administration.

The building was very nice. Those that work directly with residents were great. The administration was not good at all. Both the director and head of nursing seemed to be new in their positions and very disorganized. Out of [date removed], my brother's medications were only correctly ordered and administered 2 weeks. We couldn't wait to leave the place.

It's not a bad place but there are likely places with better value. We picked this community because my loved one had a criminal background from a long time ago and couldn't pass background checks.

I have had other residents mail in my mailbox.Three different peoples mail was in my mailbox. It’s hard to get the front desk or office. Most times I just hang up.. I worry a lot because I’m waiting for some very important mail, because other residents mail was put in my mailbox,I’m afraid that the important mail I’m looking for may have been put in someone’s mail box by mistake.Otherwise I feel safe here and the staff treats me with respect.

I think they really need to improve on the food quality and the consistency. The apartment sizes here are very adequate for what I need. I would recommend Fairwinds - Woodward Park to others looking for retirement living. We have been overall happy with our choice to move here.

When I went to interview top rated Baybrook, I was Impressed. Unfortunately all the information I was fed was directly related to the AL side, not memory care though they knew what I was interested in. There is no doctor on site, it is not a health care facility at all and only a few of the nurses (1 particular team) have much empathy… I’m not sure the director of MC is a good fit either. The area is very small and overcrowded which leads to many disagreements between people who are already overly stressed. Menu does not appear designed for elderly with issues (too dry, no sauces or condiments or gravy) and MC doesn’t get a choice like AL. Also, I watched a kitchen staffer eating directly out of serving pans on the line while plating dinner (unsanitary)! No help shaving, showering or dressing though I thought that was why he was there.
