They've been very engaged. The staff reaches out to my loved ones, checks on them and includes them in activities. They know us when we come in to visit. And they know exactly where my loved ones are - for instance, if we come in and they're at lunch they can tell us that. They seem to know their residents well, engage with them, and have good relationships with them. So the care has been good. When we first got there, there was a change in ownership and a lot of staff turnover. So we had some difficulties with follow-up and knowing who to ask questions of at first. But that all seems to have ironed itself out now. The food is good, and there's plenty of it. One of my loved one complains there are too many fresh vegetables, but everything I've tried has been excellent.

I would say to look at this community before you make a decision on any other community. The have activities like sing a longs, puzzle days, book reading, bingo and more for the residents to stay busy in the community. The staff are generally wonderful.

The community is overpriced and I had higher expectations of what my loved one would be receiving. This has been a learning lesson for the family. The clinical staff are great to work with, and the management team isn't as nice to work with. There was a time that my loved one lost something and the director suggested that I take other valuables from my loved one for safe keeping with family. Some of the memory care residents will do things in a circle such as group time, and adult interaction. This was really important to us that my loved one have this interaction with other residents. The care they are able to provide includes dressing, toileting, and bathing to name a few.

They do not have as many activities as they advertised at this community. They also have not done physical therapy with my loved one. there is also not an activity director or general director to help instruct the workers. The staff are good, the way that the community is laid out however does not help with them being able to communicate with each other. They try very hard but don't have the things they need to be able to move forward.

The Wickshire Ft. Myers community is very bright, cheery, friendly and clean. We think their apartments are super nice and very appropriate. Even though our loved one says the meals are a hit or a miss we do think they do a good job with the meals and dining service. The value for the money is very good.

The only reason I gave them a 4 was because they have had the elevator break down a couple of times when she was moving in so it was a pain since she was not on the first floor. Other than that my mom has been happy here and likes it. She is one of the younger residents here. I would recommend Fairwinds to others, especially more active more independent people. If you do need more care, you don't have to move apartments which is a big plus. [name removed] the director is phenomenal, she is always super friendly and helpful.

This community was very nice but it was too big for the environment that I was looking for. I knew that the medical problems that I have that this community would not have worked due to the size and convenience.

we chose Wickshire because they had more to offer than the other communities we viewed. they have a doctor and nurse(s) that come in twice a week to attend to the residents. although my dad has only spent a short amount of time here, he did have an enjoyable experience.

This community was very nice but the reason we went with another community is because we spoke with another community and they stated that there was a resident that would relate greatly with my loved one. When we heard this we knew that this would be a perfect fit for my loved one.

This community is better than other communities we looked at. The entrance staff was very caring and helpful. The front desk staff are very helpful as well. The staff who respond to the call buttons can be rude to my loved one and not responding in a timely manner either. We took this to administration to work on and it took several weeks to get this resolved for my loved one.

The Landing has provided a safe and welcoming environment for my aunt. As a new resident it has taken a little time for them to get to know her and for us to get to know them. There were a few issues encountered concerning rooms being kept locked and delays in getting into the locked Opal unit. The staff is friendly and attentive and the nurse manager is quick to respond to questions. She is involved in activities daily and has gained weight. The Landing is a great choice for our loved one.

It can be a difficult adjustment leaving your home, where you have ultimate freedom, and going to a senior living environment where you have to wear a mask and can't come and go as much as you please. I think they're hurting right now because of Covid. They've had 3 or 4 deaths on her hallway, and she feels demoralized and feels like she's surrounded by people who are going downhill. They have raised their rent up [percentage removed] for this upcoming year, which was a shock. Their chaplain died earlier this year, and he will not be replaced, which I think is hurting a lot of people there. She was promised all new appliances when she moved in, and that has not happened. They're getting a new dishwasher only because there was a tremendous leak in this one. I have to say that overall, aside from the huge adjustment, it's been pretty good. Hard, but good. The apartment looks very nice. It's painted well and carpeted well. I wish that they would have walkers etc. for visitors. They're very cautious with visitors during these Covid days. They take your picture and your temperature., which I appreciate and understand is common across Senior Living right now.

I’m early in my exploration of senior living options in the Eugene area,. First I met the Sales Director for a delicious lunch in the private dining room. I was impressed with the variety and freshness of the offerings, and the flexibility of the all-day meal plan. They have a “happy hour” several times a week, and rotating off-campus activities available. It appears that Crescent Park is keeping up with trends that will appeal to baby boomers like myself! The walk to the 1-bedroom sample apartment gave me the chance to see residents enjoying the library and other public spaces. Everything was clean, well kept and odor free. The apartment’s balcony was inviting, with room for a small table and lawn chairs. The bathroom was ample with a walk-in shower with foldaway bench. It looked very safe. The bedroom and living room did seem small. The full kitchen gives another option for independence. Crescent Park will be on my list as I get closer to choosing an independent living home.

The Village at unity is a beautiful, quiet community. It is a lovely place.

It has been fine for my loved one - it has been exactly what I was looking for at this point in her life. I like all of the activities they have, although I wish she would participate more. But she does use their in-house therapies - physical, occupational, and speech - and that has made a huge difference! Now she can walk over a mile and use her phone, which she wasn't able to do before. They've had some struggles with staffing, like every place right now, including the kitchen staff. And she has been less happy with the food than when she first moved in. But that's really the only issue. The medical staff has been really responsive. Their Covid notifications and actions are appropriate. If someone is looking for a place, especially after Covid, I think this is a good place. They have all the appropriate measures in place. The people seem to care about their residents. I don't feel like she's just being housed. I feel like they actually care about her. And it's a lively place. I looked at another place that was a a better price, but it was very gray and depressing in their décor. Grand Villa is just very bright and cheerful and lively, which I really like.

The only issues we have had is the billing as they are charging more than what is needed for our loved one. We have had to dispute this with them. They were able to rectify the situation quickly once it was brought to the attention. The food is inconsistent in taste for my loved one. The staff are friendly along with the residents.

This is a lovely community. The people here are friendly. The concern I have is the communication could be better as the phone doesn't get answered a lot of the time. There are times they don't return phone calls or messages.

Crescent Park has great activities, but unfortunately due to our loved ones mental and physical health they were not able to participate. We ended up taking our loved one out just because they needed more assistance and a more appropriate fit.

The big problem is the café. My mother seems to complain about that consistently. And I find the feedback I get from her is that the kitchen staff isn't as friendly as they could be to elderly people. She wishes they were kinder. But the general staff have been very friendly with me. They respond quickly to my questions and make sure things get done. They try very hard with the activities. But the real black hole is the café. My mother is very unhappy with the food.

We chose Fairwinds because my wife wanted a facility that had a swimming pool and they have that here. The staff here have all been very helpful from the beginning and did a great job of explaining things. She is happy and we would recommend to others looking.
