I have to admit, in the beginning I was a bit skeptical because my dad was quite apprehensive about moving to a senior facility and being dependent. It did not take long for dad to begin making friends. Soon after, he began to enjoy the activities, likt happy hour, games, the entertainment guests. The staff is teriffic. The facility is always clean and nice. The care is excellent, and the nurses always pay attention to the details. I would highly reccomend Grand Villa.

The differences in Grand Villa as opposed to the other company that had the building are huge. The staff is happy , courteous and bend over backward to accomodate. My dad loves living there. The hallways, dining room, activity area and billiards room are all clean and tidy. There are no bad odors or stains. The management staff goes out of their way to help. 3 months ago my dad lost his room key. The maintenance guy made him another no questions asked. I love the way the people who live there sit in the lobby joking and chatting. Friendly, clean, happy environment. Would give more stars if they were available. Keep up the great job. Looks like home feels so much like family.

We moved my parents into Grand Villa 12/31/13. We moved in their own furniture, so that it would feel like home. The dining room is impressive; white table cloth service. We come and have lunch with them often. The numerous regular activities they have include BBQ cookouts, donuts and coffee after breakfast (daily), ice cream socials in the afternoon, wine and cheese in the afternoon, dancing and music, etc. They provide transportation to my parents doctors appointments, hair dresser appointments, store visits, etc. My parents absolutely Love it here !! My parents are 89 and 90. The staff is amazingly helpful.

I've read all the reviews, and come on folks, really?? This community is awesome! Have you been to Emeritus or Brookdale? Go visit those communities and then go back to Grand Villa West. Yes, the grounds are not finished being renovated, but if it looks like what they are doing in the inside, you can bet it will be beautiful. Yes the theater is currently small, but I hear they will be renovating the building next store and make a community auditorium. They just finished the renovation of the Country Store, the Private Dining Room, Beauty Salon in an area they call Main Street. They will have a brand new card room on the third floor. My friend's mother is thrilled with the changes and its so close to her home in Delray. I also heard that the community renovated the bathroom at no cost of the person who wrote that the bathroom did not accommodate her mother. What community will do that?? My friend asked at another community if she could have a extra grab bar in the bathroom and they wanted to charge her mom $150!! The management at Grand Villa has been wonderful to her, her mother, and every resident that they have come to know. Whats wrong with all you people!! So before you all continue to diss this community, go look at others. Then maybe you will go to Grand Villa West (if they still have room)!!

Fairwinds Rio Rancho is a wonderful place to live. I am happy I chose it.

My mom had a lot of anxiety at first about moving into an independent living community. The transition to Ashbrook Village in Villa Rica, Ga, facilitated through the fabulous A Place for Mom crew, has been terrific. The staff have made every effort to provide a safe and supportive community for its seniors. It was so nice to hear mom say recently, "I would not have believed it, but I have not been happier in years!"

This place was recommended to us by a friend of my Dad who was living there. I was very impressed by what I saw here. My Dad's friend loves it here, and she acted like an ambassador for the community, giving us a tour and showing us around! I'd give them 5s across the board, I'm completely satisfied with the service here and can't think of any way that they could improve!

They are very clean and friendly. The staff is wonderfully responsive. The rooms could use a little uplifting, the residents rooms could be a little brighter. The food is very good. I was very impressed with their staff, they are very helpful.

Overall they've done a great job here. It's a nice looking place, very clean, and the staff are all very friendly. One thing I like is that the staff all specialize in their specific tasks. They have a permanent kitchen and dining staff, and the aides always function as aides. The food is here is very good. I've tried it a few times myself and it is always high quality!

They're doing a great job here, and my friend seems very happy. They're in the process of remodeling the whole building, inside and out, and what they've finished so far looks beautiful. The staff here are very friendly and professional, and they really get to know all the residents. They can let you know when you come in to visit where someone is and what they've been up to.

This place looked very nice during our tour. It was clean inside, and all of the staff seemed very friendly. The food in particular looked very good, compared to some other places we saw. Although I wasn't as big a fan of their meal plan set-up, where the residents can order off of a large menu, but have a limited monthly budget. I was worried my loved one might burn through her budget too fast. They offer a wide variety of floor plans, and while some were nice other were small and did not have balconies. The assisted living here was also split into a few different areas, which I felt spread the care staff out a bit too much. Overall a very nice place, though!

Very nice. Mom seemed to feel comfortable right away. Just hoping we can afford it.

Beautiful facility. Staff was very friendly. Very close to our home, however Mom was not comfortable. She said it felt like a hospital.

I visited in January, 2014. Colleen was very welcoming, almost like a neighbor. She showed me around the building; it was raining heavily, so we didn't walk any of the paths on the 8 acres of forest/wetlands. This facility offers at no extra charge many amenities for which there are charges at other facilities. Comparing cost with features, I rate this among the best.

This is a location we looked at while looking into options for my Mom. It was a very very lovely place,

I was very nervous how my 96 year old mom would respond when we moved her from her home of 27 years to Fairwinds. My fears have been replaced with delight. Mom is transitioning better than I hoped. I'm so pleased with the move. The folks at Fairwinds have gone out of their way to make mom's move as easy as possible and to make her feel welcome and at home.

They have been very good. They have been very responsive to anything that I have asked for, and I have nothing bad to say about them.

They are wonderful. My ex husband is there now. Everything is a five, it is a beautiful place. I tell my children that if I ever have to go to assisted living, that is where I want to go.

Lovely facility. Tour director was very professional. Felt like an upscale hotel. Beautiful common rooms and grounds. Great activities and meals.

That place is like a 5 star hotel! Beautiful! The staff was very nice and the food was delicious!
