It was a very nice place and she really enjoyed being there. The staff was truly fantastic, Sandy was the best. It was very luxurious. There was one little thing which was that, they only seem to work with certain places, it seems that there are networks. They would tell us about one and not tell us about others, because of politics. I think there is a fear that if you go outside their network you may not come back. I would have liked to know about columbine for rehab. The rehab place they referred me to took five months and still didn't do what should have only taken a month. They should expand the network that they work with.

The staff is very helpful at the onset. My loved one enjoys the food. There is usually enough parking. They could do a little better with their activities. The staff has been very helpful and we’re happy with this community.

My name is Dr. Scott Kalina. I am a hospice and palliative care physician with TrustBridge Hospice. I have been following patients at the Grand Villa West memory care unit for the past eight months. I am very impressed with the staff at the unit. At the memory care unit, the staff are compassionate, conscientious, and caring. We’re very impressed with the livability, easy accessibility, and usability – the community just generally helps people acclimate to the community. The food is just fine. There is an outside area – there is a courtyard.

Even though it is the oldest in the Tri-Cities, it is clean, well kept and feels like home!

I think they have great activities! It’s a very warm environment and it’s very comfortable. I think the staff tries really hard to accommodate what the resident’s needs are. I think it’s just a comfortable place. It’s really clean. It’s not intimidating like some of them of them. It feels like a really nice hotel or an apartment complex, not a facility.

We liked it. It was nice. The community was clean. The price is comparable to everyone else. The activity director is good. The calendar of activities looked really good. The care services also seemed like what everyone else offers.

My dad Wallace Kennedy was a resident there for only 3 months unfortunately he had an accident and broke his hip and had to move to a rehab facility for recovery. There were many complications after the surgery and he's been back and forth to the hospital many times and is unfortunately not going to be able to return to Grand Villa. I was able to stay in an apartment at grand villa while I was visiting my dad in the hospital. They were so accommodating and provided me with 3 meals a day and even did my laundry for me. This facility is like Home the staff is wonderful they make you feel as part of the family. I got an opportunity to meet the residents and dine with them. They made my stay so enjoyable and convenient since was only a mile away from the hospital. The entire staff there is wonderful and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone that's wants there family member to have a place they can call home when they no longer can live by themselves.

My husband was one of the first residents when Grand Villa West opened their newly renovated doors. I will admit there were the usual start-up problems, but family members formed a council where these problems were discussed and brought to the attention of management. It took a little while, but every detail of our concern was remedied. Laura, the director, did a wonderful job of redirecting and retraining the staff. The food is fine-dining quality, and I am not exaggerating. Any family member will attest to this. There are daily activities (with a new Activities Director and Assistant) that stimulate the mind, as well as exercises, Yoga, arts and crafts, sing-alongs and movies. Live entertainment is brought in on a regular basis. The doors are open until 8PM with access to a large, fenced-in, well protected and well lit area where residents can walk or sit. Regular head-checks make sure everyone is accounted for. I can honestly say that the facility is now running very well. My husband is kept clean, safe, well-fed and as occupied as he cares to be. The aides are doing a wonderful job under stressful conditions. Just putting my husband of 50+ years into a facility was a long and guilt-ridden journey. I am so fortunate to have found Grand Villa West. The weekly support group meetings have helped me put my life together, and the monthly Family Council meetings assure me that any concerns we have will be addressed. I could not ask for more.

From the moment I walked in the doors of Grand Villa West, the staff was so warm and welcoming. The residents seemed very happy and content as I spent a week there with my precious aunt. I highly recommend this facility to anyone. What a great group of people..like one big family!

If you want to breath love, this is the place to be. I have never seen so much love showed to residents.

Fairwinds is an Assisted Living and Independent Living Facility. There is no Memory Care or Alzheimer's Unit, which my mother-in-law specifically requested. She was able to take her cat, and people often have their pets with them in the lobby. There is a nice gym for workouts. There seem to be a lot of activities for the residents - even events which include the whole family such as Easter Buffet. The people who drive the vans are very nice and seem quite accommodating. She has been able to go to her appointments and get her prescriptions. She likes having a Happy Hour with "real" alcohol on Fridays. She also likes the beauty parlor and the movie theater. There are a couple of libraries and multiple seating areas if people visit. The apartments are in good shape & are comfortable.

Cost was a little more – we almost selected this community, but my parents were more familiar with the other location. The people who live there… The way the community is presented - there are people in their 80’s, 90’s, but it feels young and alive.

I wish I could give the friendliness of the staff a ten. They’re amazing! The food is fabulous. For the money they are a good value. I wish they could assign a set time to do laundry. It’s convenient. There is plenty of parking, except on Chamber of Commerce meetings. my mom moved here some years ago. I came to look in on her as alhzeimers was all new to me. I didn't know places like this existed. I was so very fortunate to have found Grand Villa in Largo. My mother was treated so special and they really paid attention to the details as I explained what my mom did for a living. I came in to take her to lunch and she was doing admissions as she had done in colleges and universities. Grand Villa was so wonderful to my mom, I could't have found a better place. Their memory support is fantastic, from the nursing staff to the upkeep of the grounds. I love the fountains and walkways. You have a wonderful staff. God bless you all

They're doing a good job here overall, my loved one seems very happy. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the staff are all very friendly and caring. She loves the food, and they've always got some sort of activity going on to keep the residents entertained.

I loved it. So nice and homey and everyone was great. I hope this will be my home soon.

What a wonderful place. My Dad has lived there for quite some time.He enjoys his privacy and enjoys the activities. It seems there is always something going on there. He raves about the dining staff and the food. I had lunch with him and the dining room is clean and luxurious. The nursing staff goes above and beyond to make sure he is comfortable. They are always smiling and ask if every thing is ok. When I walk through the building, it looks and smells so clean. If you are looking for a professional management and staff team for a loved one. I would highly reccomend this place.
