Overall Asbury Village is a wonderful place. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I think the biggest thing that bothers me is the temps in individual rooms. It's either too cold, or too hot in the room. Heat/Air units in each room would be much better. No one should have to wrap up in coats and blankets to stay warm, especially elders.

A Place for Mom was a great starting point when you're overwhelmed and not sure where to start. Each place that was recommended for our needs were very kind and made sure I knew they were there to answer any questions, even when I wasn't sure which ones to ask. We chose Green Tree for three reasons.. 1) Location 2) Price 3) It felt more like apartment living, and didn't have a nursing home feel. They are very good at answering my questions. I wish they had a phone directory available to call staff directly, even if to leave a message. I would like to be able to leave a message so the person calling me back knows what I'm needing. My loved one loves it there and likes the food. I believe they have a couple of choices. I've asked my loved one and they can't remember. I don't think the community has snacks for them because my loved one has me buy them some to keep for between meals.
