Understaffed, they never seemed to try and acclimate my mother into the facility. Seemed like they wanted to get her in there and once they did that was it. Alot of staff turnover. The levels that they base their cost structure on was nonsense. My mom went from a level 1 in alf to needing level 4 memory care. How is that? Memory care is over $[removed]k month. We moved her out at that point.

Understaffed and not sufficiently trained. No consistency in staff schedules which makes it difficult to build relationships. They can improve by; Better training with appropriate interventions to manage behaviors associated with dementia and memory challenges.

All they are Interested in is money not the well being of the elderly They are all the same.

It was terrible. They changed ownership the week we moved in. Most of the staff quit and most residents left. Father and law was in a facility of 40+ people with only 2 staffers. They refused to provide transport and we had to hire a driver to get him to PT. We are finally moving him out next week.

The Windsor is a horrible mismanaged facility with a staff who does not care, starting with their director [name removed] My brother had moved out of there to [name removed] It is bright, cheery, clean and the staff cares. At The Windsor, I was paying extra for my brother to receive a shower and shave daily. Lucky if he was showered and shaved a couple times a week, but they were charging me for that service. The doctor at their facility changed my brother's medication without informing me and took him off of his memory medication critical medication for him. She also administered his blood pressure medicine at the wrong time of day, which could have contributed to a fall, which caused him to go to the hospital. When I ask how that happened nobody there took responsibility and they said it wasn't their area. I would NEVER recommend this facility.

We would give the overall experience a 0. They didn't care for my moms infection in a timely fashion, she fell, broke her hip and had a concussion. It was 2 hours before they found her. She requires way more care now.

I do not recommend Ridgecrest McCandless. Although the amenities are very nice we have not had a positive experience with the level of care and services being provided. At the time of this response, and in my opinion,, Ridgecrest McCandless has not honored our agreement, Legend Senior Living core values, philosophy of care, and pillars of practice. They have not honored our parents preferences for care, and/or provided the care and services with empathy, dignity, respect of self, privacy, choice of care, and the personal interest of our parents.

My warning would be to read the contract. You have to leave 30 days notice, even if you die. We did not have a good experience at Sunrise of North Wales. One other thing, the client has to pay for his room and his care whether he/she is there or not. My friend spent 20 and then another 20 days on his care even though he was not there. It was like pulling teeth to get money returned. Of course, we never got a copy of the contract we signed….that’s another warning sign.

A place for Mom should update the info here because my family remember lives here and they don't have most of the stuff on the list the care is terrible they're only interested in the bottom dollar. They have constant turnover they mess up medication. They had a lot more to offer when my love one first moved there. Management is terrible; they lie and you can only get them on the phone when you discuss money. Half the time you can identify the food they make. We were told that the special diet was included and it is on this list and after we moved in they said we would be charged EXTRA for it. We're trying to find a new location because Legend Senior living is buying up everything around this area. When you call corporate about problems nobody will return your call. But they know how to call you about additional money. It says they have transportation but they really don't they have to use buses from another location and only on certain days. We had to cancel many doctor's appts

I placed my mother in Stonehaven (which was the Linden) in December of 2020- during Covid. This is something no one ever wants to do. Things started out well. My mother wasn’t completely incapable of understanding things at that time and her needs were being met. Fast forward to 2025- this place is now owned by Legends and the turnover is insane. In the beginning I used to have zero issues with contacting someone about Mom. In the end, I wouldn’t ever get calls back. Mom’s clothes would go missing. Bedding set completely disappeared. Silly little things. I would receive phone calls on a regular basis to come in and sign a care plan, etc. I was always very responsive to their phone calls. Mom went on hospice - thankfully and at that point, they pretty much depended on her hospice provider to do her car. They no longer brushed her teeth. Her hair was only done on the days that [name removed] and [name removed] would come out.1000 characters not enough

Not good! Dad fell out of his wheelchair or recliner multiple times while at Legend. But the last straw for us, and Dad, was when they over medicated him and we watched him slump over in his wheelchair and lay across his side table. (We could see all of this on the camera we had installed in his room) I had been trying to get Dad to answer his cell phone for at least 30 minutes. When I checked the camera to see if he was perhaps not in his room, I could see him sitting in his wheelchair next to his phone and I could hear through the camera that it was ringing. Dad continued to slump further and further until he was laying sideways on his end table. After multiple attempts to get someone from Legend to check on him, I decided to call 911. The director texted me and said he was fine, and just resting. She assured me that her staff had checked on him and he was doing well. The ER docs however, said he was WAY overmedicated and was in "bad shape". Does that sound like he was fine?!

Need better communication with responsible party. I.e., monthly progress or problems with resident. Need a diabetic menu. Toilets cleaning and bathroom areas needs more effort and attention.

It looks nice, but the staff is uncaring and disrespectful. Basic care is not consistently provided. Food is fair not good. Safety issues, a resident fell down the stairs in his wheelchair resulting in broken bones and nothing was done to help prevent it from happening again.

In a nutshell shell the are terribly understaffed and should not be operating with out the proper people My Dad fell and injured himself too many times to count in a 6 week period and I had to find him a new place Would not recommend that place to any one

Looks nice on the outside but the level of care is lacking. Do NOT recommend. They need better aide staffing.

Staff need to have better qualification and skills. They also need a better administration. I would absolutely not recommend Legend of Lancaster to anyone.

It was supposed to be for respite care There was a bait and switch when the contract was signed. Also pharmacy management sucked. Would not recommend this facility to anyone, unless you are very careful when reading contracts.

Visiting there last week was a really bad experience. Over 20 residents and in the nearly 2 hours did NOT see a member of staff !!!!! The bedroom was untidy and unmade bed , not even clean ! Bathroom had No toilet paper ! , bedroom had no paper towel at sink and no tissues !!!!! Messy bedside table either magazines from Sept !!! No other space for personal items ! Patient doesn’t read book but many books dumped in room !! On leaving went to bathroom out side unit and IT had no paper towel !!!!!! Overall , very very disappointed in cleanliness and total lack of care for residents !!!!! Disgraceful.

It appears to be a nice, well maintained and caring facility during the initial tour. However the executive team lacks empathy and concern, it is poorly managed, understaffed and rampant. I wouldn’t recommend it under any circumstances.

It’s a beautiful facility and most of the staff are good. Unfortunately, the management needs a complete overhaul. Total lack of communication and weeks of unanswered phone calls. When you finally do speak to someone they try to pass the blame onto others instead of accepting responsibility.
