I had the chicken fried chicken which is something we love to eat here! They know that I don't like gravy, so I feel that my meal is always specially made just for me.

Our tour experience with Anthology of McCandless was nice, the guy who showed us around was very accommodating. It is a lovely, bigger facility and they had a lot of activities to offer. It is a lot like a lot of the newer places and just felt a little too cooperate for us. We were looking for something smaller and more homey feeling.

Legend of Allentown is a beautiful home. for someone who is new to needing memory care, I still had a lot of questions after my loved one moved in. that was a bit uncomfortable, but it has gotten better. as of now, communication is only done on my request or initiation. as far as activities they do encourage her to engage, she likes some of the activities and there are some she wont participate in. I do think that they are adequately staffed for the number of residents, and their memory care unit is all on one floor. I feel secure that she is safe there. I would recommend this community to others.

They have so many different activities offered to the residents - they have movie nights, manicure Mondays, poker and every other type of game you could think of. They have Wii bowling, corn hole, and happy hours during the week. They have different outings during the months, this month they go to the library and last month the residents went to the Butterfly House. They have bible studies and different church services. They have afternoon socials where the drink tea and have biscuits. They have exercise classes everyday, and once a week they bring in some type of entertainment. They have activities all weekend long which is one reason we decided to pick The Landing.

We went with The Regent because it had more amenities offered and the pay was all-inclusive. They do things such as providing a shuttle service to take residents place, there is a nurse on staff 24 hours, and there a lot activities provided as well. The apartment sizes are really nice. I like the fact that they try to pair new residents with people who share similar interests. They also try to get people involved in meal times rather than being isolated in their apartments. I would recommend to others looking.

My loved one was here at this community and it was very nice but the rooms were too small for my loved ones needs.

Our tour at The Linden was fine. I thought it was a good place. It was just a little too big for my loved one.

It was a nice, clean set-up. The staff was friendly. What little time my loved one was there, I think she enjoyed the people.

It's been a while. I like the apartments I visited. I would like to tour again when it is convenient for you.

There could be improvements with the overall meal and dining experience as well as the activities. For example on Thursday's the only activities doing on all day are religious ones, which is fine but we wish they would incorporate a bunch of different activities throughout the day for all the residents and not have designated days for just one activity or event. We also thought there would be someone there to mentor or help encourage our loved one to get out and about and that's not quite the case, so we wish there was somebody at the community to do that.

We chose Sunrise of Lenexa because the facility was very nice and the cost was much lower in comparison. One of the problems is they do not provide any type of transport so it can be hard to get to and from appointments. They do transport for activities, but not for medical appointments. I think it would be very helpful if they could offer that. They also do not offer in house OT or PT so you do have to organize that yourself if needed. They have a really good staff retention, it is a low turnover rate and the staff there are great and really seem to like their job. I would recommend to others looking.

Give it a try but be present and involved as your loved one needs an advocate.

This is a nice place for you or your loved one to live. My only thing is that some of the people that live there probably should not be. I feel like some of the people in memory care need more assistance but overall it has been pretty good. My loved one goes to town and takes trips and stores and more for activities and things for the residents to do.

We chose Legend at Jefferson's Garden because of the responsiveness from the staff with the inquiries in the beginning stages. They have multiple food options on their menu and alternates if you do not want what is being served. I would tell others just to make sure to communicate to them in advance if you want to alter your meal preference. Overall it has been a good experience and we would recommend to others.

This community is run well by the administration. They have activities like bingo, physical therapy, outings and more for the residents to do to stay busy and have a good time in the community. They go to theaters and more around the community. The staff overall are pretty good and I have no complaints.

We had a virtual tour with Sunrise of Upper St. Clair since it was in the middle of the pandemic. It was a nice facility, but it was hard to get a good feel for it since the tour was not in person.

My parents enjoy it here. They love the facility. They were really enjoying the exercise classes, but are disappointed that the community did not renew their contract with the instructor, due to the facility's finances. But they love the activities director. We thought it was a great value when they first moved in under a special, but it sounds like they're doubling the fees under new ownership, which is concerning and not appropriate for the services they're providing.
