Legend Senior Living

Heartis Bucks County was brand new. It seemed too city-like for my father, just not a good fit for his personal preference. It was also very expensive, probably the most expensive place we looked at.

I toured Legend of Colorado Springs, and they were a little more narrow as they only had assisted living and memory care - but no independent living options. We chose another community because Legend had no garage availability or putting green - and that was not something we wanted to give up, if we didn't have to.

It's expensivve but worth it. It is a very nice community and the staff is very friendly. Overall, it has been a goed experience.

The people seemed very nice, and the facility seemed very clean. It just wasn't homey enough for our taste. It had cathedral ceilings and was just too extravagant for my mom's preference.

During my mother's time at Windsor there were a great many staff changes. These changes caused interruptions and a decrease in activities and routines. I had high hopes for the programs and services which were not realized due to the constantly changing staff. There were some improvements being made in regular staffing at the time that my mother passed, but they were still without a HealthCare Director. I do feel she was cared for, she had gained weight and the environment and her room were clean. There were some wonderful staff members who were there throughout her stay and they were the only reason she stayed as long as she did. Legends administrative staff were interested and responsive to my concerns and seemed to take my them seriously.

It is a very nice facility and I am pleased. There are always some issues here and there no matter where you are at, but they are easy to communicate with and take care of things in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend Legend at Mingo Road to others.

The director of Legend at Council Road [name removed] is very approachable and pays great attention to detail - whenever we come to her with questions she is right on top of it and we really appreciate that. When we do come to visit we do think the activities seem good. The meals need some improvement - they are not as nutritious as we had thought and hoped for

Our loved one was previously a resident here and they had great activities 7 days a week - on Sunday's they would have family bingo. They had adequate staffing and they would split up their staff team to make sure they had nurses and day to day staff 7 days a week on sight.

The Meadowood Assisted Living community is very very clean and well taken care of and the staff members are super friendly. We really appreciate the little gestures they do when we come to visit they are very complimentary. For example one day when we came to visit one of the ladies who was taking a drink cart to another event stopped by to give our loved one her favorite drink and gave myself and my son a piece of dessert to go with our dinner. The nurse there has been a great help to our family so far. The meals and dining service is very nice. Right now the activities are lacking and somewhat slipping through the cracks on the memory care side, but on assisted living they are fantastic. It is pricey - we originally started out with the a la cart plan but it just seems a little like nickel and dime so we do not recommend that. We would recommend this community to other families though based on our experience so far.

We chose Arbor House because they looked the cleanest and the most attractive. The facility is very classy and when you walk in you feel like you are in a hotel. The residents looked well cared for when we went to tour too - they were dressed nice and their hair was done. I do think the staff could improve on their patience, my loved one says that they seem impatient when they are helping her to get dressed. Overall I would recommend to others looking.

The staff has been extremely supportive with helping my loved one transition to her new living arrangements.

We chose Atria because out initial experience was very good. We were looking for something that was not a traditional nursing home. This facility is close to where my daughter lives and she is able to pop in and see him regularly than if he were at home. They did not disclose everything at the beginning, I am picking up on things as I go along. For example they do have a van to transport residents to appointments, I found out they only go within a 10 mile radius. It also only runs Monday through Wednesdays from 10 to 2 and that was not something that we were told up front. I do think they should disclose more of the smaller details in the beginning.

The staff are wonderful but the food is not good at all. I would recommend them if the food was better.

We're thrilled our loved one has a place like this to go to. They seem to know what they're doing. There's a little bit of us not knowing what they're doing - all the details of her care. But they're willing to speak with us and give us updates. We would maybe just like to have a little more feedback from them on a regular basis. The staff are very friendly and very capable, and I believe they do a good job. And the facility is very nice - it presents a very nice place to be involved with.

Sunrise of Upper St. Clair is a lovely place. I would recommend others to have their loved ones there.

HarborChase of Palm Harbor is a great place.

Grounds beautiful! Good food, big helpings, great chefs! Friendly employees! Maintenance team very helpful! Friendly clients! Food severs are pleasant! R.S. director "always" has time for us! Apts cleaned once a week! Laundry on request! Parking for cars! Great pond!

I really liked Sunrise of University Park. The facility was a little bigger and pricier than what we were looking for though.

We have had a few bumps in the road when it comes to our loved ones medication and the overall communication with the staff but we are working on that with them. Everyone is super friendly and helpful there which we really appreciate it. Our loved one eats in a dining hall that is specific to that floor and seems to have a little less variety of choices then the main dining hall on the first floor. The activities are still a little limited due to covid but based on the experience we have had so far with The Waters we would recommend them to other families.

We toured with [name removed] a few weeks ago just to see what was out there. She knew my father wasn't ready for anything serious, but we just wanted to see what was out there. My dad isn't ready yet, but enjoyed the tour.
