This is not the fanciest place near Charlottesville but I found it to be the friendliest, the most caring, and the most reasonably priced place. I moved my sister from a very expensive place in Florida and within a week at the Harbor she looked happier and more relaxed than I had seen her in some time.

Due to the pandemic the food was having to be delivered to their rooms which lessened their variety choices, however they have brought back a lot of activities, and this community is one of the lowest in the area to have covid cases so whatever they were doing they were succeeding at. Comparatively to other communities in the area, they are not as expensive but the residents do get individual attention and any concerns that arise the staff members call us personally. It has been the best situation for our family.

My wife and I visited six memory care facilities, this one seem to be exceptionally better than the other five. We had a couple of hiccups, in the first week. Our loved one has settled in here nicely, everyone here seems to be very professional , very concerned about our loved ones quality-of-life, thay are also very informative about the disease of Dementia. To sum it up, they really treated us like family. And I truly love that. thank you to everyone at the harbor at Renaissance. My wife and I consider ourselves blessed to have found this place.

Mom has been at this Brookdale location for a month. Transition was smooth, staff is friendly and attentive. Mom says"everything about this place is nice". She is 92 and change is hard for her but all went well here.

This is a small community so you are able to have more personal relationships. This community is clean and they have a homey atmosphere. Mom liked the variety of activities they offered. Mom enjoyed the food. They took good care of her during her respite stay. I would recommend this community.

My aunt, who has a complicated medical and mental health status, recently moved to Grace Senior Living. Karen, the administrator, and all the staff have been incredibly sweet, reassuring, helpful, and patient with her, despite her difficulties. Everyone there has been so pleasant for the family to deal with and they've gone out of their way to try to make my aunt happy, by trying to determine what she likes to do, eat, etc. The home is very "homey" and nicely appointed. There is a lovely, secure outdoor area with a fish pond, bird feeders, and a couple of raised garden boxes where the residents are growing tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. I would highly recommend Grace Senior Living to anyone looking for a place for his/her mom, dad, or other relative.

When I 1st visit the facilities to find a place for my mom, I was look for a clean and nice place at a reasonable cost. The harbor has a homey decor and does not look like a hospital or nursing home. The place is clean. Also the folks are nice and are willing to work with you on my mom care. They have an open communication with the family to update on the family members care. I would recommand this community to anyone need care.

I placed my grandmother at The Harbor At Renaissance in mid January 2015. I have been very pleased with the care she has received so far. The staff has been extremely supportive and accomodating. It is important to me that she be treated with the respect she deserves and I believe she is. Most importanly I feel she is in a safe environment and this gives me peace of mind every day. The only very very small issue I have had is unreturned phone calls when checking on my grandmother but not big problem.

The Brookdale/Emeritus at Main Street in Hendersonville is where we chose to have our loved one live. The staff is outstanding as they are all friendly, positive, sweet with the residents and go out of their way to be supportive and helpful. All the staff in every department seem truly pleasant, genuinely interested in the residents and their families and professional. The facility is lovely and clean. The food looks appetizing and my mom thinks it tastes good as well. The only negative is that the outdoor garden in the Memory Care area could be more accessible for residents with a more level area for seating, tables, and possibly a pergula type cover over part of the area for shade. Overall, we would recommend this facility highly. We toured six Assisted Living Facilities in the area and this one received our highest ratings. It's comforting to know that my mom is in a safe, clean place where people and staff really care about the residents and their well being. Thank you, Emeritus at Main Street in Hendersonville, TN!

What a great place , clean and friendly . My family member has done very well here and ler outlook on life has improved . They have great activities that keep the resident involved and alert and having fun . My only complain is that they should have more choices for meals when resident does not like the menu for that day. But our overall experience has been excellent .

The Harbor at Douglasville is a decent facility. It seemed to be clean and maintained pretty well. The rooms are small, particularly if you're thinking of having your loved one in a shared space. If it's them alone in a room, the size is sufficient. The cost is on par or slightly below what many facilities are charging these days. If I had the opportunity, I would do a respite stay for my parent, which would provide a trial run of how they actually care for the elderly. I'm giving a four because this was just a tour - I'd need more time to truly assess the environment and the care.

Renaissance Senior Living has been a good place that has helped my Sister in-law to live without worries. She has connected with people living there and together they help each other through memory issues. I would give Renaissance a rating of 4 out of 5 stars for the perfect fit for my Sister in-law.

There's been a lot of staff turnover since his admission. I feel they are short staffed when it comes to cleanliness of his room. But that's everywhere I'm sure especially in the health field. They're very good when it comes to providing activities and they go all out during holidays and involve family members. Overall we have been pleased with the care he is receiving.

The staff in the memory care unit are very nice. They have so much patience dealing with residents in various stages of life. Several of the staff members have almost become extended members of the family but that often happens in nursing home care or if you are doing extensive treatments at the hospitals. I always check the posted menu to see what the residents have for meals...some of it sounds very good.

My experience with the Harbor was overall positive. As no place is perfectly what we would want for our family member. The staff were friendly and many had been there for many years, which made you feel good about the care received.

The staff is very helpful. The facilities are beautiful. We had a couple complaints about the food. And we had an issue for about a week where my mom couldn't use her bathroom so had to go to the staff bathroom behind the reception desk. That made living there a true challenge for her.
