Legacy Retirement Communities

For the most part I've enjoyed my experience. The caregivers are kind with the residents and other staff. My only complaint is with the kitchen due to a shortage in staff the service is usually slow. I wonder have recommended to friends Legacy South.

It was a nice facility in a nice area that was close to home and where my sisters live. Respite stays seemed to be something they had experience with and were prepared for. I really liked the marketing rep that we met with. She spoke to my mother instead of only to me, the caretaker. She asked my mom about her interests, likes and dislikes. No place is perfect and my mother did not love it there. She won't love anyplace that is not her home! She did not care for the food or the noisy furnace in the room. I liked that they had a lift recliner in the room and comfort height toilets.

[name removed] was there on a respite stay for 1 month. However during that time I was very happy with her stay. The food was good, and the staff responded fairly fast when she needed help.

The dining has been very up-and-down from absolutely atrocious.)/ Cold food, out of stock items, poor taste etc). To really good. We have talked to the staff and put in several complaints, and it seems to have changed for the better we will see going forward

Clean, friendly, good health services and staff. Restaurant staff need training with table bussing. Communication about monthly events could be improved. Overall a good value.

Very pleased with the place compared to others in the area. It is expensive but worth it for a better quality of life if you can afford.

I would say overall, they are nice I'm not really pleased with how they clean my mother-in-law's place and I have to be on top of them about that. And there is high turnover, which I understand in that field there would be but overall I do feel comfortable and I feel that she safe and we have made some good contacts so that I have others that watch out for her although we do go pretty much a daily.

Businesses across our region have unmet hiring needs. Legacy House lost their experienced food manager and most of the kitchen staff weeks ago. Since then, the meals are much lower quality and not very healthy. My mother-in-law is vegetarian and they have been unable or unwilling to provide adequate quality and variety of protein substitutes. She does not advocate for herself very well and often supplements meals in her studio apt. Otherwise, we are pleased with the facility and staff.

My experience is with memory care so it's difficult to know the extent of the care unless I'm there 24/7, but I've noticed that the residents on the assisted living side always look happy.

I would say it is definitely a community you should consider. The evening and night staff were not as attentive as they should have been. They were not consistent with a night-time regiment and did not check on him enough during the night.

I am currently a resident at Legacy House. I moved here from Tennessee. My husband had passed, and my son flew me to Las Vegas to live with him but because he worked all the time, I missed being around people and being social because I love to talk to people and get out. So, I asked my son to look at Assisted Living communities for me and he found this place and I love it. It is very clean, and I love my modern looking apartment and I have a beautiful view of the courtyard. Right when I first moved in, I was greeted with smiles and welcomes. The staff are so friendly and so are the residents, I love talking to my group of gals in the dining room and at activities. They have activities going on all the time, I like the arts & crafts and the new Yappy Hour with all the dogs. The food is good, I'm not cooking so that the best part. The only thing I would say is they did have a hot water issue, but the maintenance team was really good at communicating on when it was getting fixed.

With every institution there will be situations that make you uneasy. Legacy House is no different. From staff shortages to mistakes being made that all become concerns for your loved one. That being said most of the concerns are not of the serious or life threatening incidents. I would like to see quicker response time to calls for assistance. I would like to see a wider variety of choices when it comes to meals. I do appreciate the patience and caring staff gives. The concern for the residents is beyond compare. All in all I would give Legacy a B+ in over all efficiency an care.

My loved one was previously a resident at Legacy Village of Salt River. They were not able to accommodate my loved one's behavioral issues. They did try, but the issues continued and we ultimately had to move my loved one to a different place. It was a good place, just not the right fit for my loved one.

I have recommended Legacy House to several people. I plan on moving my wife and myself there when out multi-level home no longer functions for us. That's as good a recommendation as I can give.

Food is cold waiting forever for service. Sitting for 30 min to get served and watching other people wait to get a server. The food should should be included as a level of service and is not to the standard.

My mother in law passed away one day after being there she fell, she never made it to her room she was in a 'spare' room waiting for her room I wasn't impressed at all we go charges a lot for 1 day there we didn't get her meds either when we picked up her stuff

Mom's first 3 weeks we tough, but better than expected, until the holidays hit. It set her back. She misses home, her independence. Loves making friends and is actually taking the elevator nearly daily, even by herself. SHE HAS BEEN TERRIFIED OF ELEVATORS for most of her 83 years! She loves not having to worry about meals and preparing them. The staff has all been so friendly and immediately felt so welcoming.

I am very thankful and happy to live at Legacy. It is a very friendly community with friendly and helpful staff who care about us. I really enjoy the activities. The friendliness of staff and residents are top notch.

Cleanliness for Villas is scant, food is below standards as to quality & consistency. Pay too much for the lack of concern.
