Legacy Retirement Communities

Generally the staff are professional and helpful. My parents need some of the highest levels of care that legacy provides and they like the staff and we find they are receiving good care and assistance. My parents were not initially excited to leave their home but now consider Legacy their home. Due to physical challenges they were becoming more and more socially isolated in their previous home but now they have friends and daily opportunities to socialize. They can elect to stay in their unit when they want privacy or meet people in the dining room or for activities or in any of the shared spaces. The care at Legacy is better and more Cost effective than the care givers we hired to come into my parents' home daily. We also saw a dramatic decrease in accidents and hospital visits since they moved into Legacy. Our parents' improved safety, health and well being has made us really appreciative of the staff at Legacy.

The staff is friendly and apartment size fits the needs of my mom. There are different layouts to choose from. They do have many activities for the residents should they choose to participate.

They do an excellent job but not perfect. Food is good, very clean, lots of staff and very helpful. I have cameras in my mom's room so I have a good idea of what is going on. My mom is very difficult so I really appreciate the good care they provide.

We get along and are willing to help in any way they can.

We have changed admin. staff twice in the past 14 months, but the majority of the hourly employees are gentle, sweet and helpful people to all of us! The facility is relatively new, just starting its 5th year! We all are proud of it and police trash inside & out, as it's our homes. The rooms go from efficiency to 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom & and 2 bedroom with a sitting room. Assisted living is efficiency or 1 bedroom, with maybe two of the 2 bedrooms rooms. Memory care are singles with a bathroom!

Majority of the staff is amazing! The place is beautiful and has resort-like vibes. Those employees that are day to day involved with residents are the best. The one time the medical button was pushed, no one showed up. The food is lacking; a big complaint among residents. My grandmothers biggest complaint (besides the food) was the stains on the carpet. Overall, the place is clean but the carpet needs replaced in some rooms. Our experience is overall good! While room for improvement, I wouldn't still recommend it. It just seems to me for the amount of money paid, the food could be good.

The Director is actively working to make improvements in the facility and the residents appreciate his efforts. The activity leader is very enthusiastic providing many creative events and activities. My Mother reports the food is very good. The surrounding grounds and landscaping are well maintained. They are very accommodating for family activities with a special meeting room and visitors anytime. Good location in a nice area. Local talent make regular visits providing enjoyable entertainment.

The aides that care for the residents are very nurturing and treat them like family. It's so comforting knowing that

Staff is friendly and very efficient, available when you need them. Food is very good and they will adapt if you don't want what's on the menu. Also available at anytime. I love the little library with 2 parakeets in it. Residents are welcoming and friendly. Building is beautiful and individual rooms home-like. Only criticism is I think they need to replace the carpeting-it's the only thing that looks over worn. It would be a really nice improvement. Oh, also lots of activities available if interested.

f their family member is developing dementia, they need to watch carefully. Many drop their loved one here in an assisted living situation & as the disease advances they figure all is ok! Suggest they ask questions about how to stay on top of their loved one's care? Talk to your people or your family's workers. Visit at least one to two times per month. Ask if there are special discounts? Ask to look at differently designed rooms. Realize that I really love Legacy S.R., but there's are some things I don't trust & that's the current administration! I'm not moving, but I watch what's happening closely!

Learn Tagala or Spanish and know other cultures and values are not the same as ours. The staff at Legacy House show a lot of patience with their residents. I would recommend this facility to others looking.

The staff is very attentive and they work hard at trying to make everyone feel apart of the community. They do many activities at the facility and quite a few picnics and some eating out experiences at restaurants.

It's a lovely place but when they sent her to the ER because my Mom fell the second night she was at her apartment (Assisted living) they sent her out without any of my contact information or give me a call. I had to go find her once I heard that she was sent to ER during the night. The hospital workers were glad to see me walk in looking for her. After couple of incidences along the way...a stay at a rehabilitation Ctr and another visit to an ER, the nurse in charge ( [name removed] ) determined that my mom cannot live in an assisted living side of the place, so the Legacy House fast tracked her to move into a Memory Care side. She has been there over five months now.

The staff and med techs were kind. Many of the CNA's were very skilled and helpful in memory care. The food was ok. The facility was nice, clean and kept in working order.

The meals and dining is a 3 at best but they are in the process of changes. The staff really does a great job knowing the residents names.. When I visit and we are out in the facility that make a point to say hello and know the residents name.. very kind and attentive if the residents ask for anything...They have a really good calendar of daily activities.. The apartments do not feel like an assisted living with nice 10ft + ceilings and the wall are very well insulated from noise of other units. The location outstanding with Southern Hill hospital a mile down the street.. There are also many different types of doctors offices surrounding. We can get to almost all my mom's different appointments within 10 mins. The food was really the only issue as it was just average a best.. they have recently changed staff and menu and they send out to the resident weekly now a survey and improvements that they would like to see... Overall we could not have chosen a better place for my mom..

My MIL went into hospital then rehab just a few days after arriving. But the legacy team regularly checked in to see how she was doing. Additionally, on Valentine's Day, legacy team member visited and gave my MIL A tulip plant and lovely card. It was very thoughtful. Overall the team is kind and supportive.

We picked this community because at the time, they offered the most activities for her. Would I recommend to others? That's difficult to answer because it would depend on the needs of their loved one.

I've lived of Legacy Village for over five years. Its become my home talk the people my family. It's a great village

Have lived on independent and now assisted living. Both are top-notch!
