Like this place very much.

Enjoyed meeting several of the staff at Summerville. Director did not provide any pricing and have called to ask about this.

Nice facility, open and clean. Tour was excellent and will look at this again soon.

Clean, nice layout, not confusing. 3 nurses during the day, a lot of activities. Rooms decent size. Not many maried couples. Friday dr appts, good menu. Podiatrist visits monthly good for dad.

All the med techs are very supportive and the activity people coming make sure my mother participates which is important. She has since moved into memory care and seems to be thriving which is a pleasant surprise and extremely comforting.

The Residence at Shelburne Bay is on a smaller scale in size and our loved one is used to being an outdoorsmen and being able to walk around and "roam free" so unfortunately this community just did not work out for our loved one. We did think overall it was a good place and we thought the staff did as best as they could.

[Name removed], the person we met to help us look at he facility, was very accommodating to our schedule and to make sure we were comfortable. Then it seems once you are a member, there is less action from the office and you're switched more to nursing and direct care contacts. They now have a vacancy for the program director on that care unit, so I'm not sure how things will be going forward. When we call and ask a question though, we do get a direct answer. We still go in to visit often. Only after a few months were we able to do a care plan with them. So I think now that the care plan is in place, if there's proper staff training, the staff will know how to interact with my loved one better. I think overall, more training for the staff in how to deal with people with memory issues would be helpful. But in today's staffing environment, I know that's difficult. But if they had had more coaching for staff off the bat, my loved one might have felt more comfortable with his transition. I really do see some people there who truly do have compassion and care. And I've seen others who I feel will need to learn that. I don't know a lot about the food. It seems decent overall. But I do know that as far as the beverage options, they offer a choice between apple juice or cranberry juice, and we've been having to push for water to be offered. I would like to see more activities as well. But even saying all those things, I know and appreciate that my loved one is safe secure. He looks well and feels well, and some of the small things that annoy us I know we'll have to let go. The facility is clean and smells okay when you walk in. I know that's not the case everywhere. They work with us on any concerns we have, and that makes a big difference. And overall, I would recommend them to other families.

It is a lovely place, but I did not feel the warmth from the staff. The tour felt more like a sales pitch, it was too businessy.

This is a difficult thing to rate. My circumstances may not be yours. First off this place is pretty expensive and because of that I assumed it would have "better care". I moved my mom who is 94 from another facility that was good for younger people but my mom did not like it. For her food was extremely important and she is fussy. I chose the Residence because the food was supposed to be great, the people who were there have been there a long time indicating to me that they liked their jobs and were happy there, It is not to far away for me to come often. Well since she has been there the director has left and most important to me the person in charge of care has left. She was the deciding factor for me to bring her there. I'm not too impressed the way things are at the present. It's not a bad place but I was hoping for a little more for the money. Everyone's circumstance is different so I can not recommend it to anyone. It is one of the most difficult decisions to make and you can only hope for the best. Good luck.

My mom was moved in on a Friday and was rushed to hospital on Sunday, she fell in her room and put a nasty bump on her head it effected her left eye. So of the experience we had was short but sweet. But I can tell you that the people were very nice and friendly and welcoming. She ended up at [removed]. She needed more care and watch very closely after that fall so my brother and I made the decision to move her there. One thing we worried about was we prepaid for a month ahead and they gave my brother a little trouble of getting refund but the main branch reach out to my brother to discuss a refund with him. To make a long story short we did receive a refund of part of the payment. We were satisfied. I would recommend them to anyone. And a place for mom also was a great help to me. For advice and an ear. All is well the staff all are great and do everything for all. my old boss lives there, [name removed]. his room needs a paint job and a refreshing and have better access for his wheelchair, he's been there for a long while I know he would not complain. but I would hope it looks better when I come tomorrow. I will say the food is fresh great and wholesome. its hard I know to keep all anew your facility is the cleanest and fresh smelling. so keep it up looking forward to seeing [name removed].

The food was amazing the time I went for a tour

Since my dad was about to be discharged from hospital we were in a time crunch so we just showed up here and they were nice enough to take us on a tour of their community. I would recommend setting up a tour here.

My dad has had a rough start here but the staff has been very helpful with his transition here, they are attentive and friendly. Dad's room is nice and we have brought in some of his own furniture so that it is starting to feel more like home for him. They offer a lot of amenities here for the residents to take part in and I would recommend setting up a tour to see this community.

I had a nice tour of this community. I toured it for my mother, and her needs. This is a nice community with kind people. Everyone was very kind my family,and I. The community looked nice. The staff we met was friendly, and answered our questions. The experience went well, but I found another community that suited our needs better.

I liked this community and all that they had to offer. The people were accommodating and answered everything thing that we needed. It was just to far for grandma and to expensive. Everything was good though and very nice.

This is a clean nice community. The people we met during our tour were nice. They offer daily activities including different types of exercise classes.

I liked this community when we took our tour. We got to try the food and I thought it was good. The community looked clean and the people we met were nice. Mom did not however like the stairs at this community.

So far, so good! We moved our mother in in early November. The facility is clean and cozy, with cheerful holiday decorations. Moms apt is cozy and has everything she needs. Storage inside the apt is good. The staff have been awesome. They are friendly, caring, and everyone pitches in to help. Mom reports that the food is ok. She is happy in her new home!

I did like the property and the people were nice and very friendly. The community looked clean and well kept. I really didn't get to go all around. There were residents that were out and doing things.
