The staff are really friendly. They spend a lot of time getting to know the residents and their families. When I walk into the building, they know who I am and who I belong to. Our situation is unique because my dad moved into the assisted living, went to rehab for 4 weeks, and then moved back into their memory care. The community was so nice and moved all of his belongings for us. My father loves eating the food there as well. Because he isn't very social, they staff have tried to find activities for him and get him to interact more.

My mom lives here and I can't say enough good things about this place, and it's people. From the receptionist to the care givers, the aides, and even to the wait staff in the restaurant. They are all extremely kind and caring. They have a lot of activities so the people who live there are continually engaged. They foster an atmosphere of kindness and caring and it shows in everything they do. I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful place for my mother. She loves it there.

One of the most conscientious facilities I’ve been in. The staff is always friendly and welcoming when I’ve been in there. I see them treat their residents with kindness and compassion. I have had meetings here and interacted with residents and staff.

My family chose the Residence at Melrose Station for my mother because of the staff’s unique combination of imagination and commitment. It was very important to us that our mother be intellectually challenged as well as physically cared for. My mother adapted quickly, has found new friends and is enjoying the movies, games, and delicious meals with other residents. During our move-in week, any concerns we had were addressed quickly by the staff. Everyone here is upbeat and wonderful to work with, and this includes the nursing staff, aides, dining room staff, building supervisor, receptionists, and housekeepers. My mother also enjoys walks outdoors. A great feature of this place is its closeness (2 blocks away) to a lovely Main Street, with shops, a grocery store, a pharmacy, and a post office. Nearby there is a commuter train station—great location! In spring we will enjoy the nearby parks and lakes. For assisted living support in the Boston area, we couldn’t do better.

My mother was at Brookdale Rocky Hill Senior Living and recently passed. I can't tell you how attentive and dedicated the staff was to my mom. That team made you feel like you were with family. Mom was so happy there. It was such a comfort knowing she was in good hands. I highly recommend this community.

I moved my mother into assisted living at The Residence At Pearl Street a little over a year ago. Although it was a difficult transition, the staff was very helpful and supportive, and they have continued to be so. The activities, as well as the activities director, are outstanding with a wide variety of physical and mental games and exercises, and entertainment and social gatherings, offered daily. The 3-a-day meals are also excellent, and the friendly food service staff strives to meet the needs and palates of everyone. The management is also doing a good job in keeping the facility up to date including the latest renovation that replaced all resident unit windows. Overall, I would recommend anyone interested in assisted living to consider Pearl Street.

My wife and I stopped in to speak with the manager working. I explained that my father is currently in the Atria in Cranford, NJ and that we had just purchased a new home in Waretown and wanted to see if we could move him there. They showed us the entire place and the rooms available and that made our discession easy. The staff was great and very informative.

My mom has been at the Residence at Orchard Grove for almost 7 months. She is memory impaired and in a wheelchair. I was not sure memory care in an Assisted Living setting would be enough care because she would forget she could not walk. After meeting with the Director of the Memory Care unit I decided to take a leap of faith. I have been so happy I made the decision. My mom had been at a nursing home for a time and I watched her literally loosing her mind. Since she has been at the Residence she has made friends, both on the traditional side and in the memory care unit. She has enough independence to feel whole again but I feel confident she has enough supervision to be safe. The food is great, her apartment is a good size and kept clean. The aides are so kind to her and the director of the memory care unit is professional, experienced and so very sweet. They try to have outings at least once a week which is so good for my mom. I am so happy we found the Residence.

Salem Woods is a lovely, well appointed facility that is cheery and bright, Many in-house activities as well as outside venue trips are available to the residents. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Everyone tries to make the resident experiences as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Prior to entering, one can meet and discuss how a resident can be assisted and helped with the feeling of concern and caring. Adjusting to a new living situation can be stressful; having kind and caring folks to help with the process is very important. For a new resident and out of town family adapting to a new living situation do suggest: have a way to talk directly to a resident via an in-house phone when the person has not cell or landline would be very helpful and a designated liaison who interacts with the person that the family can contact to check on them would be very helpful.

The Residence at Salem Woods is the best that I have found after staying in a few other facilities. They go beyond helping dementia and mental problems in all the support areas. They not only supported my ill wife, but me in my grief throughout this long difficult ordeal. Toward the end we almost became like family when my wife finally passed away, two of them even came to the wake [names removed], the floor manager and nurse's aid. Beyond the call of duty. Towards the end they even got her an air mattress to prevent bed sores and a extended wheel chair and a hospital bed at no cost. The facility is relatively new and so has all the newer items such as rooms, bathrooms, large outdoor patio, library, dining room etc. In the country atmosphere it blends into the country side I would also like to commend [name removed] (sales manager) of course [name removed] (floor manager) [names removed], and a host of others . Don't stay at Marland Place or Bright View if you want to keep your money.

Traditions of Wayland encompasses a serene life and intimate atmosphere within a gracious, historical estate. The various lounges are clustered in close proximity which enables crossing paths throughout the day and making residents feel "at home" with one another. The sunny patio and pretty gardens are welcoming nods to a breath of fresh air and seasonal "parties." The Resident Care Director is selective in admitting residents who will fit in well. Once admitted, every effort is made to enable residents to remain in their units without being displaced to another facility. As time passes, if additional personal attention is needed on a daily basis, it can be provided. At least the promise to keep one's place at Traditions is given from the start. The residential care team reviews individual care plans on a routine basis, and necessary adjustments can be agreed upon. I give the aides tremendous praise for their kindness above all. This is what residents appreciate the most! Patience, promptness, and respect are the standards provided by the aides. No matter what the request may be, cheerful attention is given. A variety of entertainment and activities keeps residents on the lookout to participate out of personal, individual interest. Very popular with residents are the recitals given by local adults and youths, and this is a great venue for the performers as well. Occasionally there are special dinners with an interesting theme where guests are invited to attend gratis -- very popular with residents, family members, and guests. Traditions' staff assist and interact which makes for a good party. Best of all, these times allow family members to relate to one another and feel validated for all that is required of us at our end. We also enjoy feeling appreciated for the encouragement we're constantly giving at every visit. Traditions has been in transition for the past year whereby some qualified personnel have been replaced, and that's been unsettling. The new Executive Director is very approachable and is taking a devoted, personal interest in the residents and their families. Such personable, executive functioning trickles down to staff and residents, but also to us, the family members. It's a good thing we can all feel "at home" in this special place.

The Residence at Orchard Grove has been doing a great job so far. They are a brand new community, and the apartment they offered was just right for my loved ones. I will say that the aids at the community have various skill levels, so consistency can be difficult to obtain. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the community is clean, and there are a lot of things to do for the residents. However, one of the places I feel the community shines strongest is the food. Meals are excellent here, very complete with a lot of variety. I would strongly recommend The Residence at Oak Grove to others.

Our father had been with our step-mother for 42 years and she sadly passed away this year. We were worried about dad and wanted him to be with other people he could enjoy being with as well as be in an atmosphere where people cared about him and his needs. Residence at Vinnin Square has turned out to be an excellent choice for Dad. The staff from management to direct care has been totally awesome with our father. There are way too many to add one by one but you all know who you are and we are so grateful to have dad become a resident at Vinnin Square. There is a great, family oriented atmosphere, freshly cooked cuisine, and lots of activities for residents to enjoy all day long. The engagement director [name removed] and her staff [name removed] and [name removed] are always finding new ways to engage the residents so there is not much idle time if residents are looking for something to do during the day. The residence is new and decorated beautifully from the open common areas to the apartments of the residents. It is well maintained and spotless. From the time you walk in the door you are greeted by professional and courteous front desk reception area. (Thank you [names removed]) Management has been great and has no problem getting involved to make sure that each and every resident is safe and happy and treat the families like they are part of the extended family. On the downside the food is a bit expensive if you are family coming to dine with your loved one but the food and the servers make that a little easier to swallow. Thank you residence at Vinnin Square for taking such good care of our dad and making sure he is happy and in a caring, loving, family oriented living facility. It was a tough time for him having to make this move but has seemed to adjusted very well and has made many new friends. We love being a part of Residence family and have made many new friends and extended family members ourselves among the staff and other residents.

My brother was happy with the food and the amazing menu options that were available. The staff were great and met all of his needs. They washed his clothes and even provided some simple furniture for his room. The staff were attentive and followed up with him. This community offered a great move in special and this helped us decide on this community. They kept the community and his room clean. I would recommend this community.

I was happy with the tour of this community because they have staff that was caring and willing to answer the questions that we had. We liked the cleanliness of the environment. We liked the menu and the activities that we were shown. We wanted something closer. I would over all recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

They do offer daily programs and the staff encourages the residents to attend these. The food is good, healthy and they offer some variety of options. They keep the community clean. The staff are efficient, have good attitudes and a good quality of training. The community is well managed and that is reflected by the well trained staff. I would recommend this community.

I have no complaints about the care my mother has been receiving so far at this community. The staff have been attentive to her needs and have made an accommodations they can to make sure she feels welcome as well as comfortable. Mom has had no issues with the food and seems to be participating in a few of the activities they have to offer throughout the week.

The staff are helpful and explained the services that are available up front. They encourage mom to participate in some of the daily activities. They do offer trips out to the store. She is very happy with the food. The community is clean and well maintained. I would recommend this community.

This looked like a nice active community when I took my tour. The people I met were knowledgeable and friendly. They allow pets at this community and I think it is worth taking a look at.
