I have lived at Traditions of Wayland for about 10 months, and it couldn't be better. I visited other places at first, but they were overwhelming. It’s so friendly at Traditions and you get to know so many people. I think my favorite part of living here are the activities, they are very well done. I love going to all of the events they host here?they are superb, very informative. The care staff here are well educated and simply wonderful. They are willing to deal with everyone and all of our different care needs. The entire staff takes the time to get to know who you are and they have really become my friends. Also, the food is excellent and the dining staff really work hard to make you happy and to be helpful no matter what. I really have to say the staff here is great and they care so much.

I like it and being with people helped me get back into doing things that I enjoy like playing cards, playing games, and singing with others.

They're taking good care of me here. I feel safe and have made many friends here too!

We get a lot of support for all our activities here. They have a lot of ideas to fulfill what we want to do. The staff supports us and that is the most important thing. The socialization leading to friendship and the staff's support is something that my son loved about me moving here, and now I do too!

I'm very content here. Just like in life, things can happen and come up, but overall it's great here.

Only 3-years old, the building, rooms, common areas, etc. were all clean and fresh. Very nice landscaping including seating under a covered porch, various outdoor seating arrangements, an outside dining area, and a circular walking path. Rooms included kitchenettes. Menu looked delicious and was available from 7 am to 7 pm. Daily specials also offered. Emphasis on highly individualized attention, especially regarding events and activities. Ability to move from independent to assisted living and back as needed. My brother, husband, and I were all very impressed.

A first class facility with a "hotel atmosphere." Exceptional staff throughout entire supporting cast. Friendly, courteous & helpful. Cleanliness beyond the "10" mark. A qualitative healthy menu

I brought Mom and Dad to Orchard Grove a little over a month ago and have been so impressed by the progress my parents have made. The staff make them feel so at home and they are thriving. They eat as often as they want from a large menu, with items like filet mignon (YUM!) and I've even seen them gain, weight which we were worried about before. They have excellent programs and lectures which my parents enjoy, and they go out on trips to all sorts of places. I'm loving this new addition to Shrewsbury and would be happy to recommend such a beautiful, well-run establishment.

AMAZING and compassionate staff - the administration, wellness, engagement, and facilities management all sincerely care for the residents at Salem Woods. My parents have been in assisted/independent living for several months and they and our family are super pleased. The onboarding was extremely smooth, there's activities everyday for residents, meals are delicious and the residence itself is gorgeous. We researched for a year before making the decision and are glad we went with Salem Woods. They are like an extended family to us.

I would like to say that the staff has gone above and beyond to make my father feel comfortable and welcome in the community. Everyone from the wait staff in the dining room to the Assistants that help him get ready in the morning as well as everyone else that works at The Residence. I personally could ask for better care for my father. I hope everyone enjoys the same experience as I have.

The staff at Salem Woods is extremely upbeat and friendly! They know every resident by name and work to exceed all expectations. The facility is very clean and "like new". Food, for the most part meets expectations. Activities keep my mom very busy and happy. Support services meet expectations except on rare occasions when the staff is pulled in several directions at once. Medical services have provided valuable support. Overall, my mom and I are very happy with our decision on Salem Woods and would make the same decision again.

I moved my dad into Traditions of Dedham over six months ago. He was very reluctant to move anywhere, and it took a significant amount of coaxing. I rarely post reviews but feel strongly enough to post and hopefully help others in making this important decision. I toured eight assisted living complexes in the MetroWest Boston area in 2017. There were pros and cons with all and I did my best balancing location, price, services, activities and cleanliness into my decision. This is not an easy task since all facilities will do their best presenting to you a wonderful image during your tour along with expressing the high level of care they provide to their senior population. Traditions of Dedham has exceeded my highest expectations in every area. Initially, I was concerned that my dad would be sitting in his room for most of the day watching television. The reality is that he rarely sits alone in his lovely apartment and is continually on the move participating in almost all the activities. It reminds me of overnight summer camp as a kid. He doesn’t like, but loves, the food and is eating a very well balanced and nutritionally sound diet. He can order anything on the menu and often chooses one of the two specials at each meal. The dining room is staffed by an accommodating staff and there are often office personnel who help during meals. Everyone working at Traditions knows every guest’s name and meal preferences. Whether it’s tea, coffee, fruit cups or juice, it is always at their seat before anyone sits down. I live 15 minutes away in Wellesley and am a regular visitor. Whenever I am there I witness a staff of employees cleaning everything including hand rails, switches, chairs and walls. The level of maintenance and cleaning is and was a factor in my evaluation of the facility. My dad’s room is cleaned weekly along with his sheets being laundered. There are several laundry rooms with updated machines at no cost to the community. The management staff at Traditions of Dedham are all engaged in every aspect of running the facility. I was initially surprised by the accessibility of everyone in the community with the office. Everyone’s door is always open in the main office. My dad has made many friends and absolutely loves his new home and community. I strongly recommend that if you are looking for a fabulous home for your parent(s), you consider Traditions of Dedham. They have exceeded all expectations!

Having worked the theHearth as a third party provider I have found the Hearth in Glastonbury to be exceptional. Highly skilled & caring staff. The building is always very clean and inviting. Food is very appealing and chief open to suggestions and changes necessary to meet the residents needs. Personally have referred the Hearth to my clients and friends on numerous occasions and would look to them first for my own family member.

My mom has been here in Keepsake Village (memory unit) since early [Date removed] and we love it. The care and courtesy of the staff is great! As to be expected we had a bit of an adjustment period but the management was fantastic to work with and addressed our issues immediately. Since then everything has been great. My mom has the same favorite caregivers every day unless it's their day off. They have gotten to know her and her issues very well and are very attuned to her specific needs. And the food! It's fantastic! Like dining in a 5 star restaurant at every meal. Just incredible meals and desserts. Like most facilities they have a bus to take my mom to local appointments free of charge which has been so helpful as she is confined to a wheelchair. The only very minor quibble would be the lack of variety in the activities in Keepsake Village. They have talked about some more variety so hoping that gets a little better. The activities in the regular assisted living side are very nice and varied. Most of our experience has been with the memory unit but I've talked to numerous residents on the assisted living side and they are very pleased with the whole experience. I recommend this facility whole heartedly!

My dad was determined and prepared to remain in his Wayland home. He moved to Traditions of Wayland in December for a two month “respite”, not long after a bad fall and several broken bones required hospitalizations and weeks in rehab. When the Traditions Resident Care Director, came to his discharge planning meeting I knew he would be in good hands. [name removed]’s intelligence, compassion, expertise and kind sense of humor inspired trust and optimism. Her resident care staff are especially cheerful, responsive, respectful, skilled and kind. I look forward to seeing them whenever I visit. About halfway through his “temporary” stay at Traditions, my dad decided to become a longer term resident and now lives in a nice apartment furnished with his favorite belongings. He has developed friendships and relationships that are meaningful and bring a new kind of purpose to his days. I am continually impressed by the quality of care and assistance he receives. The staff is responsive, communicative, cheerful, thoughtful and dedicated. From welcoming and informative greeters at the front desk, to the kitchen staff and activity planners, administrators and maintenance staff, everyone is dedicated to providing a pleasant and meaningful experience for the residents. I am grateful and proud to feel part of the Traditions of Wayland community.

Mother's Day was one of the most special occasions ever! It was my first Mother's Day away from my own kitchen and five-bedroom house. I was initially somber, sad and then upon going to the main dining ... oh my goodness! The decadent jumbo scallops, lobster, prime rib, chocolates, long-stem roses for all the moms! Wow! Best Mother's Day ever. The Executive Director James and Activities Director Michelle and Chefs Ken are FABULOUS!! They made certain that Mother's Day was special special speacial!! THANK YOU. MY FAMILY (15) LOVED IT! YOUR KINDNESS WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED!!

I moved my parents into Traditions of Wayland this year. The facility is located in a country setting in what was formerly a mansion. The beautiful exposed brick in some of the hallways, the warm mahogany paneled library and the bright and attractive dining room and adjoining patio create an atmosphere of home that is unparalleled. I chose this facility after interviewing and visiting other facilities. Traditions of Wayland offers independent living, assisted living and memory care. From the minute that I walked in the door at Traditions, I knew it was the right place for my parents. The staff was kind, warm and caring. I was impressed as I watched how the residents were treated. I was even more impressed when I asked the residents if they were happy at Traditions and they went out of their way to reassure me and my parents that they would be very happy there. My parent's apartment was welcoming and roomy with views of the patio and countryside. The apartments are kept very clean, the food is exceptional and the waitstaff is accommodating. They have excellent exercise and activities programs. When my dad's health began to go downhill, the staff made allowances to make sure that he felt welcome, that he was given world class service and that he could stay with my mother through it all. When he died after only a month at Traditions, the kindness and caring extended to my mother was not to be believed. The staff went out of their way to engage her in activities and to make sure that she met others who had experienced the same loss and could offer support. My mother looks relaxed and happy and feels better than she has in a long time. What could be a better testament to Traditions of Wayland.

Hi I am writing this review to let anyone that might be look for a place for a family member the my parent have been living here and its been a great overall experience. This is an incredible facility and a great location. Its about a 5 minute walk for my parents to go to everything from a grocery store to CVS. Plus there are a unending amount of family owned business and restaurants in down town. The Residence at Melrose Station has a great restaurant inside the building that I have eaten at multiple times and its always been excellent. My parents are in the assisted living program and the staff has been great with my mom and dad but also with staying in contact and working with me on everything from helping find a local dentist to have laundry done and delivery medications all in a timely fashion. This part in very important to me as I live on the west coast and truly could not get all these smaller items done with out the continuous help I am offered. I will also so they have put together a great activities program and even a little happy hour every day or as my mom calls it "Wine Hour" All in all I would say its a great location, beautiful facility with a very attentive staff that actually cares TD
