The friendliness of the staff is varied widely. Too hard to rate overall. Some were awful and some were all you could ask for. Things at Tapestry all depended upon who was working. Some sat and stared into their phone while ignoring the residents. Others were truly caring and conscientious. My mom had severe dementia so she couldn't participate in a lot of activities but the activities director found things that she could do.

It seems to be a converted embassy suites. Didn't get to see everything due to covid. Everyone was nice and the room was nice but the location was the main issue. Not close enough to family.

Felt cold and seemed like a hotel.

Ann gave us a tour of this brand new facility. It opens in three weeks and has rooms for assisted living and for memory care. It's very modern and cheerful.

I would not recommend this facility. The advertise one kind of assistance but do not really have it. I was very unhappy as I am trying to resolve getting my spouse into a facility and simply wasted precious time and energy.

They went through to directors, 3 head nurses, multiple people who were under staffed and under trained to work with memory care patients. I felt pushed into using their hospice service who were not the most communicative. They did not clean the room as often, nor did they clean clothes often and their care for my brother was terrible. He should have been referred to another place once they decided they couldn't or wouldn't feed him. I contacted the ombudsman. I had to tell them he needed certain meds while he was dying. I would not recommend it to anyone. They charge $[removed] per month and have poor services. Staff frequently reported that they were "agency" hired and could not answer basic questions. They asked a dying man with dementia "on a scale of 1-10 what is your pain level" before giving him pain meds. I could go on and on but will not. They should be ashamed.

If someone doesn't need much assistance, it's probably an ok place. However if they need care I wouldn't recommend them. My father had a catheter and the care was terrible. They kinked the hose twice and didn't fully close it once. Staff was ok, some more attentive than others. They never encouraged or took him to activities. Food was ok, nothing special.

My loved one is currently a resident at Tapestry Senior Living Moon Township and we have had several issues at this facility. The cleanliness hasn't been good. We do the cleaning and until recently, the showering/grooming on most days. We change the bedding, clean the bathroom, and have to request other things to be done. As far as the friendliness, some of the staff are great and very nice to my loved one. Others try to get away with doing very little. We never see the upper level staff unless we initiate it. The Head Manager is not nice, which is also the same feeling expressed by others here, and has a low knowledge level with healthcare. For quality of care, it took over a year to have the correct care provided to our loved one. The food, our loved one has no complaints on, except that the portions aren't enough. We encourage our loved one to ask for more, but our loved one does not. My loved one doesn't participate in the activities. There is minimal value for the money at this facility. I would like to move my loved one, but do not because of my loved one's age and also do not want to change surroundings/add to my loved one's confusion. Instead, one of our family members goes to the facility EVERYDAY. My complaints about this facility are the norm, not the exception.

The sales pitch was amazing, but what they pitched was not provided at all. My dad was completely healthy and independent when he moved into this facility. When that changed and he needed help/assistance, it just didn't happen. The outdoor/garden area was very nice and dad loved being outside. When he was no longer able to go out on his own and needed assistance to do so, they never helped him go outside. They told us they would, but they did not. They just didn't have enough help here, period. Staff turnover was ridiculous, the staff didn't last. I can understand why, it's just terrible. It was hard to see him in this environment. He often wore the same clothes, sometimes stained with food, for days in a row. I'm not talking a spill from lunchtime earlier that day, it was obvious that his clothes weren't changed for days. There were NO activities. The activities were one of the main reasons we chose this place, but what was promised never happened. We didn't expect anything extraordinary, just what we were sold and told would be provided. But none of it happened. I called at least twice a week to discuss complaints and issues, but changes were never made. We asked for 2 things for dad: for him to be safe and for him to have activities. And they failed at both. Towards the end, we were looking at moving him to another facility or bringing him home with a full time caretaker, but he passed before we could do that. The hardest part was, being a Memory Care patient, he was content. He didn't realize all of these unacceptable things. Which means he wasn't able to communicate them to us, but it became evident over time that things weren't right or being done right. Which, part of me is glad that he didn't realize it. But it was hard to see and I feel like I failed him. To this day, if I drive by this place on my way to somewhere, I see it and I get a sick to my stomach feeling about the whole experience. Not only was our experience here horrible, but I spoke to so many other residents and families who felt the same way. I never actually heard anything good from anyone here. I would never recommend them to friends and family.

The Tapestry facility was an old hotel converted into a senior care facility. Their Memory Care unit had very narrow hallways. The only social gathering spaces in Memory Care were very small. It just felt too impersonal, and there was not enough space - it was too small. I was more impressed with the Assisted Living side. But I was not impressed with the Memory Care side at all.

I would tell others that the staff members on the front line that have the communication with the public such as marketing and sales are over and above. The people who are on the front line for care are either not trained well or have no heart, they were not attentive. We had many issues with the care that my father received here and ended up moving him out. I would not recommend.

The very few that work / stayed there are nice. We were lied to during visit. Told someone there will help us when its time to get on Medicaid. After I got my mom in they said they never said that. They don't even have a case worker. Ever since they got the new director[Name Removed] people quit and now less help and the less help are yelling at the residents that they're even moving out. Either the new director needs to be removed or she needs help from an overload. Took 5 months for them to sign medical forms for my mom for her application of Medicaid, 2 forms. It's a clean place but my mom and others bathrooms with those who wear diapers, they just throw stuff in a waste can and it smells the whole apartment. I don't see this place lasting very long.

Activities for memory care patients were minimal to non-existent. Administrative nursing staff was not receptive to concerns or opinions from family members.

It was a struggle with the entire place the whole time there. Very very poor care. Met with management still no change. Staff lazy, watched TV on there phones, argumentative. Never wiped anything off or down. Had stool on sink handles.

They could improve on EVERYTHING

This place was terrible. My mother was there for memory care. She was not checked on in the morning and often missed breakfast. She would be left with her diaper overflowing, so much that she soaked the bed. The clothing that we brought in for her, that was labeled would disappear. The bedding that we provided would also disappear. The day that we decided that she had to be removed immediately, there was a three foot long rip in the sheet on her bed. There was no mattress pad, the bedding was all wet. My mother was always in a terrible mood but the very day that we moved her, she was as happy as could be. She smiled, suddenly remembered people, would sing all the time. We wondered if they were actually giving her her medication. I would not recommend this location to anyone!! Staff turn over was incredible high. No one would continue there for more than a month or two!

I would tell others that 85% of the staff here are from a staffing agency. I ended up moving my loved one out after just 2 weeks because I was that disappointed with them.
