It was a great experience even though it was a short one. The staff members were all wonderful and we were very satisfied with everything that they did for my dad. I would highly recommend Sterling Commons.

I wish I would have moved my loved one here earlier. I have had a friend asked for a recommendation. I would recommend this community again. They have nurses and they are medical trained. I feel confident that my loved one is and will continue to be well taken care of. They cover all levels of care. I like this since my loved one knows the staff and will continue to know the staff here.

It is a much better community than we have been before. This is an all memory care community and that is a big benefit for my loved one. The communication between the staff and family has improved as the stay has gone on.

Our family was able to do an in person tour and the facility was very nice. The people we spoke with on our tour were very helpful, we have nothing negative to say about the community. The only reason we did not choose it, was because it seemed like it was geared more towards assisted living and not independent living. The rooms were also smaller then what our loved one wanted, but otherwise it was a great community. .

We were able to do an in person tour about six months ago and we were able to get inside and see a couple of rooms. It was very clean from what we can remember and the staff members we encountered were very friendly.

Choosing a senior living community for your parent is an extremely important decision to find the level of care your parent will receive and whether this meets their needs in terms of living space and the right cultural fit. We found MG staff to be very warm, welcoming, and responsive. The rooms are spacious, light, and airy. There are plenty of opportunities to be social and meet other residents. People are friendly, activities are well attended, the staff is caring and accommodating, the food is very good, and MG has a beautiful courtyard to sit and walk around during those beautiful summer days. Our family is extremely pleased with the care provided to our Mom at MG. Although Covid-19 put a damper on social activities we're all anticipating a return to normal as we retake our lives from the pandemic. As difficult as it was for all, Mom remained safe and healthy; MG staff had an incredibly strict action plan in place for residents and family members and took the right steps to keep Mom well during this pandemic. Staff worked hard to try and find things for residents to do in a safe, healthful way; they shared love and care; laugh with her and let me talk to her when I cannot see her. It is a great place to live.

The facility is beautifully maintained and has a very caring staff. I am a home health therapist that sees residents in many facilities in the area. Maple Glen is one of my favorites. If I had to place a loved one in a memory care community, this one would be at the top of the list.

These wonderful caregivers and administrators are the best. They make sure everyone is safe and the care they give is superior. I can't say enough how they have taken the greatest care of my loved one. A big thank you to all.

The community goes above and beyond to have the residents feel engaged and feel at home. The staff is highly communicative with the family. They send weekly newsletters, during the height of the pandemic they sent them more frequently. They allow us to send in statements to our loved one and publish them weekly for them. They were great at letting us know if a resident came down with COVID or passed for the virus.

MG is one of the premier memory care facilities in DuPage county. My family's experience has been you get what you pay for. In addition to excellent care, MG proved very responsive to questions and suggestions. From the receptionist greeting you at the main entrance, to the caregivers, business managers, and facility manager...each family member is made to feel unique and special. I cannot say enough good things about this facility, and how they have handled the Covid shutdown. Perhaps, one of the only areas that I would say needs improvement is there was too much turnover within the caregivers. Special recognition goes to [names removed]. Two very special people working within the MG administration.

As a Glen Ellyn resident, the proximity of this facility to my house is extremely convenient and important. Mallory Graffagna and Kelly Belmonte displayed overwhelming kindness and patience during each and every conversation as our family explored Maple Glen. The kindness and patience of everyone in this facility never cease. Jason at the front desk is so kind, patient, and supportive. The nursing and support staff are also so kind, helpful, and genuinely care about your loved one. Never for a moment, even during the pandemic, did I worry about my mom’s care and support at Maple Glen. The peace of mind knowing she is nearby and so dearly taken care of both physically and emotionally is priceless. The beautiful interior, and outside communal spaces of Maple Glen make it feel like home. Maple Glen not only takes care of your loved one but takes care of their staff as well. One felt the emotion and love from Mallory during each and every email during the pandemic. We are so thankful.

After considering many communities for dad, I chose Maple Glen. My decision was based on the warm, caring environment that was obvious on my first visit, and I was right. It became dad's home, a place where he thrived under the professional, dedicated, caring help & guidance he received from all the staff members. Even though dad was in a wheel chair, he was treated with respect & dignity, allowed as much independence as possible, yet staff was there for him when needed. I am grateful & thankful to each person he interacted with, & miss them dearly. I highly recommend Maple Glen!

It is like living at country club. The dining room here is just like a country club I used to belong to. The library is beautiful and well stocked. There is a billiards room, and other rooms available for activities. It is a beautiful place. The rent just rent up recently. I feel the rent is very, very high. I understand why the rent is the way it is. The excuse is a little weak, especially this year. The community is blaming the rent increase on the pandemic. They are also blaming it on staff lodging and transportation. I feel this is grossly exaggerated. I would change the price of rent for the community if I could.

I had narrowed my search to two communities without touring by checking out the websites and the reviews. I had a great feeling for Arbor Hills. The people were so very nice and truly caring. We are leaning another direction due mainly to location. That is a truly how close the two are.

Looking through the windows we could see that the community was clean, and the staff members were wonderful. They did have activities going on, and for Thanksgiving the staff helped the residents make and write Thanksgiving cards to send to their families.

We had our choice of any assisted living facility and chose Cedarbrook Memory Care for the following reasons: 1. Executive director and Director of Community Relations made everything easy from the first contact. They treated us like family (need I say more). 2. Licensed LVN on staff 24/7 . 3. Genuine compassion that we immediately felt from EVERY staff member. Benefits: 1. Very careful with strict Covid precautions to keep my husband safe. 2. Assurance of physical safety regarding falls, etc. 3. Willingness to offer care that other communities could not. I would recommend Cedarbrook because your loved one will be safe, well cared for, and treated with respect and love. This is an extremely difficult time and I am high maintenance. They have gone above and beyond to be patient, kind, understanding and answer my every question.

This is a wonderful location. Don is amazing and is helpful even if this isn't the place you decide to reside. What a blessing this staff is.

It is a beautiful place and it has a very homey atmosphere. They were very responsive and very accessible anytime we called there was always someone who answered immediately. However, they just had covid go through the entire place, but they did the best they could to take care of the problem. She was not as far gone with her memory, but since they treated everyone in memory care the same way it was frustrating.
