Seaside at Fort Meyers had major flooding during the hurricane and lost one third of their roof. Prior to the hurricane, my family member had already been taken out of the facility and put into a nursing temporarily for other reasons. Her unit sat vacant while we waited to see what would happen. I never heard a word from Seaside regarding what happened to her belongings. They neve once contacted me to see how she was doing at the nursing home. Two weeks ago, they told me the facility is going to become a memory care only facility, but I won't be able to come in to see the state of her belongings for six weeks while they're under construction (no family allowed during that time). But then I got a call form the director telling me to come and get her stuff now. Prior to the hurricane, the facility was very nice. The rooms were very nice. The meals were great. But as far as how they handled the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, I am very dissatisfied.

Very unorganized. Admin can’t keep regular staff. Huge lack of communication between care givers and family members. Excuses are using outside staffing agencies. I complained and was asked to move my mom to another facility. They are hiring third cleaning agency in 4 months. Staff that is there don’t seem to care about residents. The surroundings are beautiful, the people working there are not. Doctors nurses and staff are over worked and do not take care of informing families of their loved ones conditions. I’m sure there are better places. [Community name removed] was very organized, it’s just not close by.

This has been on of the most unfriendly in knowledgeable facilities I’ve been this far. Staff is not properly trained to provide care to meet residents need. Nurse are not as friendly.. facility promises that they can me the needs of my transitioning loved one yet they was not able to. I’m very disappointed if the service we have received. If it make sense I will not put my dog let alone my fish here at this unfit filthy non caring facility

Memory care services are poor. Some staff are friendly and helpful, but most don’t care to interact with the residents. Daily hygiene is inadequate. The food quality is poor with minimum variety. The rooms are rarely cleaned and the floors are usually sticky. There is always an issue with missing items in the laundry.

My grandmother was a resident and received terrible care. The neglect was awful and u should be ashamed of yourself. No one came in a timely matter,, and she sat in filth for hours. I would never ever in my life send another family member to this facility!!!!!!!

My dad was brought there by ambulance and I met him. I expressed my concern that Dad would fall out of the bed because it had no bed rails and they did not have a bed alarm (which was ok back then in 2017). They promised they would get a bed alarm under him and told me to leave even though I wanted to wait to make sure it happened. It looked like they had one person on duty and another person in a back room doing paperwork. I had dinner with him and went home to take a shower since I was staying with him at the hospital 24/7 prior. I was gone 45 minutes. When I came back he had fallen out of bed, alarms were ringing all over the place without staff attending the patients. They had no idea my Dad had fallen, but somehow knew it happened shortly after I left making me wonder if they just left him on the floor knowing he had fallen. He had a broken back. No care whatsoever, took him immediately back to Barnes...send someone there if you want them to suffer and then die. Nasty mouthed staff as well.

My father has been a resident there since 2014. Overall it's a nice place, the staff is friendly and they have many activities that the residents can enjoy. My displeasure is that they failed to inform me that my father was admitted to the hospital and I received notification from his attending nurse. One would think that when you are paying so much in rent to have assurances that if there is a medical emergency they would let you know. Really disappointing that this would happen.

I hope you will reconsider moving a loved one to Keystone at Forevergreen Place. The care is seriously questionable and the nurse aids changed so often that there wasn’t time to get to know them or create a comfortable routine for the residents. The administrators were not personable at all and were uncomfortable to converse with (the very few times they were present). It’s clear that their hearts are not in it and that they have no personal investment in the residents.

Won't work for Moms needs. She requires skilled nursing. Also prefer a private room as she has no short term memory and would likely be getting into a roommates belongings. An apartment like situation where she is expected to be able to attend herself not appropriate.

I toured with my sister and my mom recently. We had visited and dined with a resident that had lived their since they opened a few times. And even attended a few events. When they opened it was a nice and friendly place to visit and the food was delicious. More recently I heard they have had a lot of turnover. Now that time has passed. They are short staffed. The few caregivers and admin staff we spoke to were arrogant and unhelpful. The menu is always changing without notice. The food was flavorless and cold. And took forever to come out. I would recommend you save your money and go to [Removed] for the service and quality of dining they provide there now. I just wanted to let the community know how this senior community has taken such a nosedive in the last few months in quality and prestige. BEWARE definitely not a good place for mom!!!

I would give them zero stars if I could. I wouldn't recommended them at all. One lady wanted to pat my service dog. And the person giving the tour said they didn't want me there. I would not recommend them at all.

My Mother is a resident of Keystone Place . When they first opened everything was Excellent ! The staff was great , kind and very friendly . Over the course of a year things changed . The turnover was unlike anything I had seen before , sadly the staff that was so caring , attentive and energetic were replaced by less interactive people. My mother has became depressed as a result and we are currently looking for another facility .

Keystone is a beautiful facility, but very poor management. Always short staffing and caregivers are not friendly.
